Why can't some mobilephones open the text message that I send using my torch. Something like "Unable to open. Message format not supported" appears. What must I do?
View 2 Repliesi have a nokia 5800 xpress music latest firmware (40) and everything, but latley when i get a normal SMS from someone (i know the person gotten messages from him before), it tells me Unable to open: message format not supported. however the message shows in the in-box (the first few words or so, after the senders name) and if i go to a previous text and then click the arrow (or the pound key) that takes me to the next text, it'll open fine.. it kinda **bleep** me off i tried restarting the phone didn't help
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased a E63 in India. My earlier model was 9500 Communicator. I have transferred all the data from 9500 to E63 and all files etc. are opening properly, except files in the folder 'My Documents' which are 'Word' or 'Excel' files.
Whenever I try to open the file it says "File Format Not Supported".
Ever since I switched to the new OS 6, I cannot send SMS messages to anybody. Here's the problem:
- I send an SMS to various people with different phones
- Various people tell me they cannot read the message, different phones (Nokia, Android) report getting "message format not supported"
- For some reason, only iPhone users can read my SMS
- Sending MMS works, but not SMS
My phone provider is WIND, and I was wondering if this is due to my provider or the new OS? I can only use BBM for so long lol.
Few messages in my nokia E5 are unable to open with the message "message format not supported" it happens only for the messages from facebook.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading the firmware to 071 from 054, my E72 can't read sms if the sms comes from BlackBerry 9780 (Onyx 2). My E72 can receive and read other sms from other devices, but if the sms is sent from BB 9780, it will say error message: "The message format is not supported".I haven't try to soft or hard reset yet since there're a lot of applications on my E72 and I don't have the time to reinstall and resetting all of them.

The spacing is very large so that I am able to only see a few random bits/pieces of the message. It doesn't appear to be a problem with e-mails that are sent from my BB. My cell phone service is through AT&T. I am aware of no changes that would have caused this problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased BB Torch 9860 with OS 7 and configured by personal and work email on BIS. I am receiving emails only in text format. In some emails with images that have hyperlink, I just see a link and images not displayed. All the images comes as an attachment in the email. My friend having another BB Torch is able to view emails as HTML. But he is with BES.
Is there any solution for my issue? I am not receiving any options in the email preference to enable HTML format for emails.
I just got a Xoom wifi with 4.1.1 as a gift. I have a droid 4 and many mp4 videos that play on it with no problem. My Xoom will not even allow me to transfer the video to it saying the format is not supported. Why can I play these on droid 4 and not on Xoom. Is there a problem with the software in the Xoom?

When I try to transfer the file into my memory stick it load this message "the file type is not supported in this device".
I use a bb torch and when i press my text messages folder it doesnt open it shows me an error dat sayz "uncaught exception:java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException"... i rebooted my fone many times...but it still shows the same erroe.

I'm new to Blackberry and have the 9800. When I receive a new message (sms or mms) from a specific contact, the message shows in my text message folder (along with others I've received and am able to open and see), but when I open it to read the full message, it just shows the grey screen and all previous messages also doesn't show.I've deleted the entire conversation and would be able to read 1 or 2 new messages afterwards and then at some point when I receive or send a new message, everything will dissappear again.I've removed the battery, marked all as unopened, changed options settings such as combine sequintial, autoscale images, leave messages on sim, etc. but nothing works.

Sometimes when I've been having a conversation, through sms text messages, with someone I will be randomly unable to open a newly received sms text message and cannot open it for a while. I got it checked and they gave me a new phone, and this one is doing the same thing.
