BB Torch :: Not Getting Emails On 9850?
Oct 20, 2011When I first set up the phone, I got them fine, but after a few days they stopped coming in. I learned to re-register the phone on the network with the Host Router Table. After I do that, the messages pour in. Sadly, I have to do this at least once a day, sometimes twice, which is ridiculous since my Tour worked perfectly on the same US Cellular network only a few months ago."Registration message queued. It will be sent once data coverage is available."

Jan 8, 2012I am not able to access BIS on my 9850 brought from ebay. Am trying to use it in Lagos, Nigeria (where I work) with Glo Telecom. When I restart the phone it shows US Cellular. On the back cover I can see Verizon Logo. My supplier says that it is fully unlocked, and I am able to make phone calls, check balance etc on the new network. The phone shows the network name (Glo ng), etc.The SIM card is the same I was using with my earlier BB (Storm) and has a BIS plan activated and was working before. But the 9850 says I dont have a data plan. I tried using SIM cards from other operators as well, it shows 3G at times and when set to 2G network, it shows "edge" in small letters.
I tried manual registration as well, but did not get any response. The Host Routing Table shows "No entries".Also cannot see any option for Internet email set-up. Only Enerprise Email activation comes up.I am able to use facebook and App World through Wi-Fi. Can Internet email service (Gmail) also be configured through Wi-Fi?I have spoken to US Cellular Customer Service. And he said that there is no issue. If I am not using their network, then the PIN might have been released by US Cellular.

Feb 26, 2012I am having trouble with my BlackBerry Smartphone. I have a Torch 9850/9860.The phone is asking me to Verify BlackBerry ID to continue. After typing the password, the message Unable to login to your BlackBerry account appears. I have changed the password so many times now it's not even funny to try and fix this problem.What do I do now? How do I fix this problem that reoccurs every time the phone needs updating etc.I apologise for my frustration but this is getting beyond nerves now.

Mar 1, 2012Just picked up a Torch 9860 from Verizon on Wednesday to replace my ailing Storm 2. I was assured by the salesperson that I'd be able to go home and transfer data from my old phone to the new one using the Desktop Manager (I had not previously used this software). Long story short, I tried to download the Desktop Manager to three different computers without success, each time getting the same error message stating that ....C++ 2008 Distributable... needed to be on my computer. So dead end there.
Then the fun really begins. I set up my email account on the Torch and it will receive emails, but I can't open any of them. Tried the Browser- it won't connect to the internet either. This is a brand new phone, right out of the box! I've installed no apps, nothing, stock out of the box!
I went to the Verizon store yesterday and they were able to transfer my contacts over from my old phone but also could not get it to open messages or connect to the web. I can use the phone and text, but that's it.
If I can't download Desktop Manager or connect to the web,

Jun 1, 2014My 5s iphone will receive emails, but can only access them with sira voice asking for mailbox. Will get a list of emails with about 3 lines of detail. when I tap the email it goed to four links, email, contact, calendar etc. but taping tham does nothing. Also when tapping mail from the home position it also takes you to those four links which do nothing?

May 19, 2010I am having a problem opening attachments in my emails. They are usually jpg or png files, which I have never had an issue opening before. I choose "open attachment" from the menu, and the little red clock that appears next to the file just stays there. If i click the trackball, i get a prompt to resend the request, but clicking "yes" doesn't do anything. I recently upgraded to leaked OS .662, but I'm not convinced that is the problem because a coworker has OS 4.7.1.40 (original OS) and he is also experiencing the same problem.

I was able to open an email setup confirmation from Blackberry but that is it. In addition I cannot surf the web or connect to the web. Sep 8, 2010For some reason my Torch will unlock by itself when placed in my case. The case was for a 9700 Bold and I tried at the ATT store with a pouch 'designed' for the Torch with the same results. The lock/unlock key is so sensitive that even in my pants pocket it will unlock.All of my old BB's would not unlock until I hit the 2 combo keys which was fine. At least the bold would stay locked in the pouch which was fine.

The IT dept where I work has checked everything out but their only solution is to wipe the whole blackberry and start over. I would love to avoid this.
