Nokia :: E63 File Format Not Supported Error Message
Aug 17, 2010I have recently purchased a E63 in India. My earlier model was 9500 Communicator. I have transferred all the data from 9500 to E63 and all files etc. are opening properly, except files in the folder 'My Documents' which are 'Word' or 'Excel' files.
Whenever I try to open the file it says "File Format Not Supported".

Mar 24, 2011I am facing an error on some files downloaded from ovi player as- "File format not recognized". I have ovi music unlimited subscription. Although i have tried reinstalling windows media player, Ovi player etc., but those certain files just redownload in few seconds and also they have Unknown Artists and unknown Albums with them. While i have no problems in playing other files , so i don't think this is a codec related issue.

Mar 11, 2010i have a nokia 5800 xpress music latest firmware (40) and everything, but latley when i get a normal SMS from someone (i know the person gotten messages from him before), it tells me Unable to open: message format not supported. however the message shows in the in-box (the first few words or so, after the senders name) and if i go to a previous text and then click the arrow (or the pound key) that takes me to the next text, it'll open fine.. it kinda **bleep** me off i tried restarting the phone didn't help

Aug 14, 2010I have a nokia 2730c and it shows 1 unread msg icon yet there is no new message in my inbox..i have tried looking for sim messages but there are also none..there are no incoming sms and my inbox is still not full. The icon just indicates there is an unread message in my inbox..I also tried browsing the messages in my inbox opening them one by one but still the icon is still there. please help me.

Mar 7, 2011Ever since I switched to the new OS 6, I cannot send SMS messages to anybody. Here's the problem:
- I send an SMS to various people with different phones
- Various people tell me they cannot read the message, different phones (Nokia, Android) report getting "message format not supported"
- For some reason, only iPhone users can read my SMS
- Sending MMS works, but not SMS
My phone provider is WIND, and I was wondering if this is due to my provider or the new OS? I can only use BBM for so long lol.
