Motorola Zumocast :: Streaming Video - File Format Not Supported
Sep 13, 2011
So I was all excited about this whole zumocast thing when I got my bionic, but hardly any of the videos I try to stream work. Keeps saying video file format not supported. Zumocast claims it supports all video formats.
I have recently purchased a E63 in India. My earlier model was 9500 Communicator. I have transferred all the data from 9500 to E63 and all files etc. are opening properly, except files in the folder 'My Documents' which are 'Word' or 'Excel' files.
Whenever I try to open the file it says "File Format Not Supported".
I have a Nokia 7230 and have been trying to downlad fe explorer. First attempts unsuccessful as I was downloading a sis file, which I have since learnt isn't supported on this s40 os. So, found a jar version, which I've read should be supported on this model, only I'm still getting the same message "file not supported". This is my first ever attempt to download anything to a phone
I have been using my phone okay until recently, when I try to access items on my memory card via gallery/extras I get an error message " file format not supported" what could be the problem I cant even access pictures that I have taken using the phone, and it is still taking photos.I 'v tried switching on and off removing and returning the card but nothing!
I have converted the mp4 file format, and have set the parameter as below Video Encode= MPEG4(Xvid) Video size = 320*240 Bitrate = 480 Frame rate = 29.97 Aspect ratio = 4.3 When I try to transfer the file into my memory stick it load this message "the file type is not supported in this device".
I bought my Bionic about 3 weeks ago and have had some issues with it. That is a whole other topic, we wont get into that. I am now having issues with Zumo Cast. I got it installed and set up no issues. Occasionally it will show offline but a exit and restart of the program seemed to to the trick. Well tonight I converted several types of formats for a video to see which was best on the screen and mirrored to the TV.It will play a video but if i stop it or try to change files it says it cannot connect server error. The icon on my computer, which is running Windows 7 64bit, shows its status as streaming. Even after closing the app, stoping the app in task manager, and signing out. Still shows streaming and stays that way until I exit the software. Restart everything and its fine until I try and change from one file to another and the same thing happens. If I am away from the house I cant very well close the PC program everytime I want to watch a different video. I have uninstalled the software on the computer and the app on the phone with the same issues.
I got an Asha 201 and for the last couple of days I've been trying to convert some videos to put on my phone. But every single time I get the error "video not supported". So, what are the exact settings that Asha 201 supports for video?

I have a droid bionic. I have recently had problems with ZumoCast app (i.e. not connecting). I uninstalled the app and re-installed it. Now, I'm getting a message that says "Unsupported Device - This device is currently not supported. check for updates at [URL]"
I've got a SkyTex tablet and when I try to install ZumoCast it tells me it's not currently supported on Android, even though it works fine on my Droid Bionic, which is Android. Is there some problem with ZumoCast working on a generic Android device, and is this something that will be fixed?
ZumoCast is setup on both my Win7 PC and my Bionic. I can see most of my many files with the Bionic however when I try to view the files in the player the screen just goes black, like it's trying to play the files but nothing ever happens. Then when I press the back button, I get this msg "Error During video Playback" ZumoCast was not able to playback this file; it might not be in a supported format.
I just got a Xoom wifi with 4.1.1 as a gift. I have a droid 4 and many mp4 videos that play on it with no problem. My Xoom will not even allow me to transfer the video to it saying the format is not supported. Why can I play these on droid 4 and not on Xoom. Is there a problem with the software in the Xoom?
OK I'm totally a newbie with BlackBerry and this is my second post on here.I live here in the US but I'm Brazilian and am going crazy over the world cup.I want really badly to stream live radio via the browser on BB but it won't work because it needs a Flash Plug In for one station and a Windows Media Player for another. Is there anyway that we can stream live video and radio outside Sprint TV?
I have recently installed Zumocast and after installing the application onto my desktop and trying to play a movie to my device I receive the error "ZumoCast was not able to playback this file; it might not be in a supported format." All of my files are .mkvs which are supposed to be supported, has anyone else had this issue and solved it?
I have a new Droid Bionic and a new Macbook Pro intel i7. Zumocast worked the first couple of times that I used it on the Bionic but now cannot play the videos it used to play and has not been able to play any type of music. Tried downloading some mp3 files onto the Bionic and they all failed.Web access worked once but now the files will not play.
Zumocast works great for my music and pictures. Just can't get my video files to play. The videos were taken with a Sony HD video camera. The file extension of the videos are .m2ts. how I can get these files to play on my Bionic?
I have recently purchased the Droid RAZR MAXX, and I have setup motocast to work on my computer to my phone. I am currently able to do everything that I expected, however when I stream or download video files to my phone wirelessly I do have some problems.
The motocast software runs a program called gst-launcher.exe (Ibelieve) and it ends up taking my cpu usage up to between 50% - 70%. This seems a bit high, and it actually ends up making my desktop computer that is running the program over heat within a couple minutes.
While, my desktop computer isn't the latest and greatest technology, I am running Intel Core i7 860 at 2.8 GHz. This seems to me that if my computer cannot handle streaming video to my phone then most computers won't be able to handle this action.
My question is, is this normal and I have to accept that fact that my computer will not be able to stream media?
Also my other question is, is there a way to tone down the cpu usage so that it stays in a safer range of usage? (I am assuming the program is converting the file to the correct format to play on my phone. When I stopped the .exe from task manager my video was able to play on my phone for a bit longer. This indicates to me that if it is converting the video for my phone that if it weren't running at the fastest rate that I may be able to stream video.)
is anyone else finding that their screen freezes if they are tring to watch any soet of video streaming? If i try and watch something lke bbc iplayer, on a good day i can just about get it to work at the small screen size that loads with the window, but if i try and go full screen the image frreezes but the audio track contiunes. It's the same if i try and export via hdmi. I have pretty solid wifi speed and signal strength is minimum of "fair " to "good/excellent " And it's not just iplayer but that is most common as major reason for purchase was to act as a wireless hub stream to my tv.
I haven't seen this mentioned on this forum, so I'd thought I would share. I have seen Splashtop in different Xoom app sections, always listed as a remote desktop software. As such, I didn't pay it much mind. However, I found someone in another forum talk about how good it is for streaming video over your local wifi network, so I thought I'd give it a shot. The results are actually quite fantastic, especially for a 5 dollar app. It does quite a good job as a remote desktop app, but it also transcodes video and audio to stream in very good quality to the Xoom. I have streamed 1080p movies, Netflix, etc, all to my Xoom with no delay or noticable drop in quality or video/audio sync. Note: this only works on your local WiFi network, but it's ideal for watching videos from your PC in bed.
I have a large music library and it seems that I can't access all of it from the Music tab on the zumocast app (phone and desktop). If I go to files, I see and can play all of the songs, but not from the music tab. It's annying because it's easier to navigate via the Music tab (albums, artists, etc.)
I have Mac Osx 10.5.8 and i downloaded it, installed it and did the initial settings but then it crashed and everytime I try to open it, after about 3 seconds. i restarted by computer, reinstalled it twice, i have no idea whats wrong! it works fine on my droid 3, just not my mac.
I have X10 mini pro and was wondering if there is any way to take video out of the screen to stream it over projector either by bluetooth or micro USB support. Also any chances of netflix access through the existing browser?
I'm not able to transfer songs from my friends mobile through Bluetooth, then tried to download mp3 songs via email which friend had sent, it said this format is not supported. I tried to get into nokia.com/music to download the song, my mobile name is not listed in the list which nokia has in their website. How to upload the music into my lumia 710...
