Anyone have an opinion on why most of the apps available through Verizon are listed as "not compatible" with the Touch Pro 2? Is it a device issue? Or a WM 6.5 issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently from an area that had amazing reception for Verizon to a small town in Western North Dakota. The problem I'm having is that there is Verizon towers present but they are so far away and reception is almost nothing off of them, but if I go into the basement of my house my phone automatically bumps over to the Alltel tower just down the road. My parents get full reception on their phones, and what I'm wondering is if I can use any of the options in the "##PROGRAM11000" menu to make it so the phone locks onto the strongest tower and not the strongest verizon tower so I can have some hope of using my phone at my house. I just signed a renewal contract before I moved (the move was unexpected for an amazing job) and really don't want to cancel and go to Alltel.

How do I stop Blackberry apps being listed in my current messages folder? I have not requested any apps but when I open the Messages folder they are permanently listed there - there is no delete facility and if you touch them they simply open up and try and get you to buy or download the app.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust having some problems uninstalling apps. I tried going through the aplication list on the phone and deleting from there, and even through desktop manager. Problem is, desktop manager doesn't list all the apps, and when tried it from there (ie; Beweather so I can get the upgrade), it just archives it!! How do I get rid of the archive....as fr as I know, the archive still takes up space in memory, and when I tried installing new versions of the software (ie; Beweather), it just loads the old version!! Geese this is annoying!! I would hate to wipe my phone and start from scratch again adjusting everything to how I like it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a Galaxy S6 Edge a couple of weeks ago. Everything was as it should be until a few days ago. The phone icon went missing and it's not listed with in the apps area/drawer. However, when I check under Application Manager, its shows three phone applications which seem to be dupes. They can't be uninstalled or disabled. I've done force close and restarted the phone but no luck. I'm using Nova Launcher. I just got the the phone set-up the way I wanted so the the thought of a factory reset makes me queasy.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently J/B my 3G after upgrading to IOS4. Now it seems its a 50/ 50 chance that apps I used before are compatible? One in particular(Infinidock/ $.99/Cydia) I purchased(no trial available). After loging in and being redirected to pay for the app, I get back to the "install" page and get an error message stating to the effect this apps only works with ">4.0" Though it was only $.99 I think this should have been caught before I paid for the app... And of course I've never seen/ heard of getting a "refund" from Cydia?

Recently, I have tried to install newly updated/created apps on my ICS XOOM WiFi from Tivo and from AMC Theaters. Both apps tell me the same thing when I go into google play, and also when I use a direct download QR Barcode. I get a message saying that my device isn't compatible with this version of the software. Could this possibly be becuase the apps are not tolerant of ICS yet? I figured that since the apps were newly released/updated, that they would be compatible with the latest.

View 4 Replies View RelatedVerizon was making in JB was to remove their 'Verizon App' bloatware (in exchange for a boatload of Google bloatware). I had it disabled in ICS, but after the JB update (MAXX HD), not only is it still there, now it won't allow "Disable." It does allow a "Force Stop" if it's running, but no disable. The only real effect is take up a valuable icon spot on my app page, but since no one actually uses the Verizon app store, why even include it, much less put a firewall around it?
View 13 Replies View RelatedOk so I bought an env2 off a guy on craigslist. I dropped my old one in a puddle but I really loved my env 2 so I bought a used one from someone on craigslist. When I went to activate it I discovered it was on revol's network, I dont live in the city hence I can get coverage on revol. Still says verizon all over it when you turn it on and off. I am not very savvy with cell phones but I am with a computer. I took it to the verizon store and they tried to put new firmware on it but it didnt work. I have a tough time beleiving that it can go from verizons network to revols but not back, if anyone has a way that I can flash the phone back to verizon.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is for my father-in-law's phone. He has just basic service, so no text or data plan. Bitpim doesn't appear to support it and I cannot find a USB driver for it. The phone does not currently have Kies installed (I don't even know if it is supported on this phone). And he can't install new applications because he has no data plan. Is he pretty much out of luck or is there some alternate way of doing this that I haven't discovered yet?

I had to download App World and when signing in it did not lead me to my previous apps or even the ones that were given free by RIM.

when trying to transfer apps from pc to iphone, it looks normal, they appear and before finishing just disapear, no messages at all already delete itunes and downloades again, reboot the phone, and same thing.

Seems like my stock SMS Messaging is not an option in the 'share' lists from a few apps, namely the Gallary or QuickPIC application. I cannot attach a photo to a SMS message.
If I open the SMS app, THEN try to attach something, it opens up the gallary, but then crashes Sense and the SMS app.
