Jun 15, 2010I kept getting the City ID prompt to download software on my LG Chocolate Touch phone everytime my phone rang/was picked up/received text msgs/etc./listen to music/alarm went off...IT WAS REALLY PISSING ME OFF..My only choices were to download "NOW" or "LATER".I couldn't find the "NEVER EVER EVER" button.I looked for a place to remove it but couldn't find any option to delete.It was driving me CraZy so I finally had Verizon reprogram /software reset my phone.I was at the point that I didn't care if I lost my contacts/ presets/ pictures/ videos/programs/everything on my phone as long as it got rid of the nagging download "NOW" or "LATER" prompt.
Then I went to Media Center | Browse & Download(You will see the City ID application with a little flower next to it.)Click the flower button for options.You will get a message indicating you haven't started trial yet and now you can Click REMOVE

Jun 17, 2010I'm looking for a screen protector that I can cut just to cover the screen not over and around the buttons. Some what to know the mm size and I think I figured it right 38mm by 64mm. The reason why I only want to cover the actual screen is because I'm getting a SkinIt for it and it covers the back and front but doesn't include the screen to protect, unless I can put a full front clear screen protector plus add the skinit for around the non screen area? Would that work?

Jul 15, 2014Phone has been working on and off. Occasionally it would get caught in the restart loop but now it is just getting stuck on the logo. I can get into recovery, factory rest, wipe caches but after doing all that still it gets stuck. The phone is unlocked and rooted..
ROM? was that used during the jailbreaking process?
Didnt attempt to OTA (?) it just started with this out of nowhere.
The phone is T-Mobile.
By "working on and off" i mean the phone was working perfectly fine up until like a month ago when it started occasionally falling into a reboot loop. I would resolved that by factory reseting, it will work for a few days then go into the restarting again. now, after falling into yet another restart situation, and factory reseting (like the 5th time), the phone is just stuck on the HTC logo. I am able to access ClockworkMod Recovery but nothing I do inside here works... Ive factory reset and emptied every emptyable cahe I see.

Everytime I would try and sync my music it would disappear from the itues menu but still say 'syncing'. Then I tried to restore it after this failed (by getting an error message) I tried to re-jailbreak it and now it will not leave the Apple logo. May 28, 2010I had a fully functional Blackrained 3GS with the old bootrom (before the 40th week). What happened was After i installed some cydia Winterboard tweak, the phone got a little sluggish, so i restarted it, now its stuck at the apple logo screen !! I tried to DFU/Restore to 3.1.2 using official 3.1.2 firmware but apparently Apple doesnt sign 3.1.2 anymore, it gave that build error message u all must be familiar with ! I also tried to create a custom firmware through Pwnagetool on my mac and tried to restore through itunes (9.1.1), it gives error 1600. I am at a loss in this situation please help me !! Currently Im downloading an old version of itunes on my windows to try do the custom restore.

I tried using tiny umbrella and RecBoot and it still said i could only restore and upgrade, so i decided after trying that a bunch of times to just do the manual reset from within the settings on the phone. It was on the apple logo with the spinnging thing for like an hour, and now its just stuck on the apple logo. I put it into DFU and tried exiting DFU (like i did earlier) using recboot but now it just wont leave the apple logo.

Jun 5, 2010Ok so I bought an env2 off a guy on craigslist. I dropped my old one in a puddle but I really loved my env 2 so I bought a used one from someone on craigslist. When I went to activate it I discovered it was on revol's network, I dont live in the city hence I can get coverage on revol. Still says verizon all over it when you turn it on and off. I am not very savvy with cell phones but I am with a computer. I took it to the verizon store and they tried to put new firmware on it but it didnt work. I have a tough time beleiving that it can go from verizons network to revols but not back, if anyone has a way that I can flash the phone back to verizon.

Jul 20, 2014So this morning I woke up to my phone on a boot loop on the Google Logo. I have no custom roms or mods on it other than I am running ART. I suspect it could be battery related as it will only seem to do this on the charger but when I don't have it plugged in it won't even start up. When it's plugged in it won't even seem to want to stay "off", it boots up to the google logo on its own. If I hold down the volume rocker I can get into the bootloader but it resets before I can select anything and boots right back into the google logo.
