my SGS 2 has started to divert to answer machine after only a couple of rings? How can I change the time phone rings before going to the answer machine?
View 8 RepliesSeveral times since I purchased my new Blackberry Torch I have been unable to answer an incoming call - not always, but intermittently. I can hear the phone ringing, but no matter what I do it will not answer and it will not stop ringing!! The only way to stop it is to pull the battery out - my husband has the same phone and this has happened to him also.

When someone calls me and I want to answer the call by swiping the green button I got nothing even I can't end the call by swiping the red button or even by pressing the lock key. I have to wait until the caller ends the call and then I call him back.

I can't swipe to answer, pushing the home button does nothing, however when I push the lock button it will stop the phone from vibrating. After the incoming call exits unanswered the phone is fully functional. This happens about once or twice a week and works normally otherwise.

I have strange problem with my HTC Desire HD (A9191) I updated to Android 2.3.5 some time ago and since then I have a problem. If my phone is locked, I can't answer incoming call from some numbers.
When there is incoming call and I pull the green ring to the bigger ring to accept the call, the phone wants to turn off and asks me to 'force close'. Of course, I can't answer the call anymore.
When there is incoming call and I pull the red ring to the bigger ring to decline the call, the phone totally freezes while still ringing. It keeps ringing for around 10-15 minutes and does not react to anything.
The problem does not occur when the incoming call comes when phone is unlocked (i'm using it at the moment of the call coming).
My storm 2 only rings twice before going to answer machine, and I cant find where to change the ringer length

1. the answer tab on screen does not function while there is an incoming call.
2. the alarm cant be switched off using touch screen .
Can anyone advise me how I can adjust the number of rings the X6 does before reverting to the orange answer phone. At present I have 4 rings and sometimes can not get to the phone before it diverts to Answer phone. All diverts have been deactivated.

WHEN A CALL COMES IN AND I TRY TO ANSWER I IMMEDIATELY LOSE THE CALL.
I have set the Home button to answer calls and I could lose them that way OR if while using the phone and I get the little window from an incoming call with ANSWER or REJECT and I hit ANSWER I can lose call that way also.

I still use an iPhone for personal so it's quite nice to have the comparison..Anyway, sitting at my desk with my headset on I would love to be able to answer my client calls and reply to SMS by using my PC instead of the phone itself. It may sound lazy but it'd be so much quicker to just stick it in a USB dock or something and then not have to worry about it again all day.Is this possible? I've seen something called MOBILedit but the reviews don't seem too clever.

The phone is not stable and I frequently experience incoming/outgoing call failures and touchscreen failures. I do not even load my phone with any additional softwares and I do not use it for browsing internet, and yet the software and motherboard is not stable. The frequent malfunction of this phone has caused a lot of problems and inconveniences to my business trips. Also it is embarrassing when my business partners find out that my expensive phone is not working. This is my first and last Samsung phone.....

I can't find it anywhere! Also, when a text does come, the actual message quickly scrolls across the black bar at the top of the home screen..can I remove this? My phone is a UK model.UK Vodafone have terminated the Passport service as of 1st November which means I now go on to NZ roaming which at �1.65/NZ$3.30 a minute is somewhat steep - I also pay that amount for the incoming call.I now need to block all incoming calls on my phone so as I am not tempted to answer calls at odd times of the day or night (quite hard when we are 13 hours ahead of UK and totally out of sync with them) and pay extortionate amounts of money BUT I need to leave the phone available to make and receive text messages.It is not as easy as to just get a NZ phone contract as this was my life line with friends and family in UK until my provider pulled the passport service so need to disable the phone I have.how to do this so as I can still send/receive text but NOT receive voice calls on my S2?
