Motorola Droid Turbo :: Answer Swipe On Incoming Call Has Small Vibration Pulse
Jul 5, 2015
I have only had the Turbo a few weeks. I have turned on a call answer vibration somehow. My wife's doesn't do it. I cant figure out what I turned on. Need turning the vibrate pulse off. Its when swiping to answer incoming calls only. I have vibrate turned off under settings.
Upon Receiving an incoming call my phone rings & vibrates - but will not display any alert on the screen (or lock screen) that there is an incoming call. If I unlock the phone as it's ringing the normal home screen is displayed and after a ring or two I receive the below "Mobile Data not available" prompt. Pressing ok results in the phone going back to the homescreen with once again, no further dialog to answer/ignore/mute the call (nothing in the notification bar either). Eventually the call will make it to voicemail as i can't answer it, and i get a prompt missed call notification.
Items i've checked so far: disabled apps - re-enabled to make sure nothing got zapped that's interfering.Mobile data is enabled under settings.OTA Update was applied & Phone works fine otherwise, solid 4G service in populated area....Note the missed call notification icon is displayed from a previous call when i was trouble shooting:
My iPhone 4S is 16gb Black on AT&T with ios 5.1. Sometimes when I receive an incoming call my screen locks up. I can't swipe to answer, pushing the home button does nothing, however when I push the lock button it will stop the phone from vibrating. After the incoming call exits unanswered the phone is fully functional. This happens about once or twice a week and works normally otherwise.
I wish Motorola would get this right on its phones, although it may be an Android issue. When I'm on a headset the phone is in my pocket. I have pocket detection on. When a call comes in (on call waiting) the screen pops up and becuase there is an answer button rather than a swipe, without fail, the incoming call is answered.
Just received a call on my Photon. The phone was in sleep state. It did not provide any options for answering the incoming call although the ringtone was loud and clear. It was as though the ringtone went off on its own.
I used to be able to just use the side volume control and turn it all down and it would mute the ringer but allow notifications for texts and emails. That, suddenly has gone. I have tried everything I can think of to do. Setting priorities does nothing. The moment that the ringer turns off, the vibration icon grays out. I get it back if I turn the ringer to its lowest setting but I do not want that. At work, having just the vibration running for calls and texts was perfect.
So since this phone does not have an LED light, the only way to know when you have a message is via Moto Display, right? Well, now the display comes in anytime there is any vibration, its diving me nuts. The MotoDisplay has no options other than on/off? I really just want the screen to turn on when I either have a new message or when I wave my hand over it, NOT when it senses vibrations. If the phone is on my couch, the display comes on all the time. Even when its on my desk, it can sense when i drop a folder or book on it and the screen turns on. Are there really no ways to turn off the vibration sensors?????
I love lollipop and the Xperia Z5. But, I want to answer calls using a swipe, just as it was in Android 5-. Â So, is it possible to disable incoming call notification and enable "swipe-to-answer"?
I have a Motorola Droid Turbo. I have never locked the phone. I downloaded ANDROID PAY app last night. It required a screen lock to secure credit card. I agreed and set up a pattern screen lock. I got tired of unlocking phone every time. I went to disable the screen lock and I am NOT ABLE to do that. The security settings for NONE and SWIPE have been grayed out and are no longer an option. I have removed ANDROID PAY and still have issue.
Ever since my phone was updated to ICS, I've noticed that once in a while (it's probably happened 5 times now) I can not answer an incoming phone call. Usually it's while my phone is in the Droid 4 car dock, but it has also happened without it being connected to anything. What happens is my phone will ring either through the phone speakers and my bluetooth headset (if connected), but the phone "answer" screen will not pop up, and the phone doesn't respond to any type of input, which forces me to reboot my phone by holding down the power/volume down buttons. Once the phone boots back up, there is no record of who called me in the recent calls list, so hopefully they leave me a voicemail otherwise I have no idea who called me. After the first couple times this happened, I decided to perform a factory reset, hoping that this would fix the lag/freeze up issue, but it did not correct this problem. The only way that I can think of trying to minimize the occurrences of the phone freezing up/ running sluggishly would be to perform a reboot every couple days or so to clear up the memory.
I have seen others having the same problem: it used to work fine, but suddenly I can't answer phone call by just swipe the screen. I have to unlock using the side unlock key, and answer the phone. I now set the Any key Answer function on, so I can answer by pressing the white key or the unlock side key. But I am afraid that the side lock key is going to give after prolonged use. And it's kind of inconvenient especially when I don't want to answer a call. I have tried soft reset, hard reset, and taking out the battery and everything. Nothing worked. Can anyone give me advice on this issue?
I have an HTC one S mobile , updated to 4.1 Jelly bean , sense 4+every thing is fine now except this issue which it is annoying me so much when i call some one the mobile vibrate when this person answer my call I turned off every vibration option in keyboard , sound , messages & battery power saving.but still it is vibrating, then I turned voice down and used both silent then vibrate profile and still nothing, I restarted my mobile and also nothing.I'm missing some thing in options which it is "vibrate on answer" in sound, I can't find it any where in settings I wasn't facing this issue in Samsung or Sony Android phones ( I used different models) , I just faced this issue in HTC?
I've had my LG G3 6 months now, and overall I like it - but I *loathe* the swipe to answer calls function! 9 times out of 10 it doesn't work and so I keep missing calls whilst furiously swiping & jabbing my finger over the screen. Is there any way I can change it to something more simple, like pressing the home key? I've looked through all of the settings and googled, but can't seem to find a way around it.
I use Moto Assist at home, so I can answer calls/texts with my voice and am notified by voice. When I get an incoming text now, I am asked if I would like to listen to the message, like always. Then it chimes like it's supposed to, indicating that it's my turn to say a command, but now, it just keeps chiming, and chiming, and it doesn't stop, never allowing me to say anything. The only way to stop it is to close the program.
When I receive an incoming call, I guess the usual, "Call from {name}, say Answer or Ignore". That works perfectly fine. But if I MISS the call, and it asks if I would like to send a text message to the caller, I run into the same issue as above.
I've tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the Assist updates. But I can't get it to function like it used to.
I dont remember when the incoming call picture became so small, but I have noticed that on my iPhone 5S that is running software 7.1.1 is a little circle. I liked it much better when the incoming call photo took up the whole screen. Any setting that I can change, or is it a software update issue?
im coming from iphone and used to seeing the answer call and hang up button or answer call and hold. i dont see anything like that on this phone, seems like it just automatically places original call on hold. any way to automatically disconnect from that call and pick up the new one?
Perhaps stupid but in android 1.6 together with the wifi and gps there was a icon to select the sound on/off/vibration know after update to 2.1 i can't find a fast way to change de sound to off or vibration execpt via the setting menu. Is there a widget or perhaps a link so you can put it on one of the screens.
I have bought S6 Edge 3 months ago and I am facing a problem for last few days. It's about vibration. When someone calls me, my phone doesn't vibrate like before i.e two long beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep and instead, it gives two small vibration 'bep-bep' and then complete silence. Because of this I can't answer to most of the calls as I usually put my phone in vibration mode.
I have strange problem with my HTC Desire HD (A9191) I updated to Android 2.3.5 some time ago and since then I have a problem. If my phone is locked, I can't answer incoming call from some numbers.
When there is incoming call and I pull the green ring to the bigger ring to accept the call, the phone wants to turn off and asks me to 'force close'. Of course, I can't answer the call anymore.
When there is incoming call and I pull the red ring to the bigger ring to decline the call, the phone totally freezes while still ringing. It keeps ringing for around 10-15 minutes and does not react to anything.
The problem does not occur when the incoming call comes when phone is unlocked (i'm using it at the moment of the call coming).
