Just received a call on my Photon. The phone was in sleep state. It did not provide any options for answering the incoming call although the ringtone was loud and clear. It was as though the ringtone went off on its own.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen leaving a voicemail for someone, often times they call right back while I am leaving the voicemail. I curently only get the option to answer the incoming call or ignore it. Is there a way to disconnect from the first call and answer the incoming call? Right now I have to "ignore" the incoming call, then "end call" that I am on and then call the person back again -or- "answer" the incoming call and leave the voicemail hanging. Seems there would be an option to end current call and then (or in the same action) answer the incoming call.

Need turning the vibrate pulse off. Its when swiping to answer incoming calls only. I have vibrate turned off under settings.

If you are in the middle of sending a text message and using the voice input and talking to the voice input when a call comes in, the voice input is abandoned, the "answer/ignore" screen shows for a second. But before you can answer, the keyboard comes back up and covers it up, so you can't answer the call. And then the keyboard is stuck on the screen. "back" doesn't make it go away (so you still can't answer the call). Even if you go to the home screen, the keyboard is still on the screen. Stock phone, not rooted, all updates applied, etc.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 4S is 16gb Black on AT&T with ios 5.1. Sometimes when I receive an incoming call my screen locks up. I can't swipe to answer, pushing the home button does nothing, however when I push the lock button it will stop the phone from vibrating. After the incoming call exits unanswered the phone is fully functional. This happens about once or twice a week and works normally otherwise.

I have strange problem with my HTC Desire HD (A9191) I updated to Android 2.3.5 some time ago and since then I have a problem. If my phone is locked, I can't answer incoming call from some numbers.
When there is incoming call and I pull the green ring to the bigger ring to accept the call, the phone wants to turn off and asks me to 'force close'. Of course, I can't answer the call anymore.
When there is incoming call and I pull the red ring to the bigger ring to decline the call, the phone totally freezes while still ringing. It keeps ringing for around 10-15 minutes and does not react to anything.
The problem does not occur when the incoming call comes when phone is unlocked (i'm using it at the moment of the call coming).
Several times since I purchased my new Blackberry Torch I have been unable to answer an incoming call - not always, but intermittently. I can hear the phone ringing, but no matter what I do it will not answer and it will not stop ringing!! The only way to stop it is to pull the battery out - my husband has the same phone and this has happened to him also.

View 8 Replies View RelatedUpon Receiving an incoming call my phone rings & vibrates - but will not display any alert on the screen (or lock screen) that there is an incoming call. If I unlock the phone as it's ringing the normal home screen is displayed and after a ring or two I receive the below "Mobile Data not available" prompt. Pressing ok results in the phone going back to the homescreen with once again, no further dialog to answer/ignore/mute the call (nothing in the notification bar either). Eventually the call will make it to voicemail as i can't answer it, and i get a prompt missed call notification.
Items i've checked so far: disabled apps - re-enabled to make sure nothing got zapped that's interfering.Mobile data is enabled under settings.OTA Update was applied & Phone works fine otherwise, solid 4G service in populated area....Note the missed call notification icon is displayed from a previous call when i was trouble shooting:
Ever since my phone was updated to ICS, I've noticed that once in a while (it's probably happened 5 times now) I can not answer an incoming phone call. Usually it's while my phone is in the Droid 4 car dock, but it has also happened without it being connected to anything. What happens is my phone will ring either through the phone speakers and my bluetooth headset (if connected), but the phone "answer" screen will not pop up, and the phone doesn't respond to any type of input, which forces me to reboot my phone by holding down the power/volume down buttons. Once the phone boots back up, there is no record of who called me in the recent calls list, so hopefully they leave me a voicemail otherwise I have no idea who called me. After the first couple times this happened, I decided to perform a factory reset, hoping that this would fix the lag/freeze up issue, but it did not correct this problem. The only way that I can think of trying to minimize the occurrences of the phone freezing up/ running sluggishly would be to perform a reboot every couple days or so to clear up the memory.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo today has started yet another problem. Now when I go to answer my calls or make a call, it is automatically on speakerphone. I turned my phone off and it helped for a few calls and now the problem has returned. I have heard of USB ports going bad or something of that sort (not really familiar with it). Hopefully this is not what happened, yet then again maybe I could get a refurb not riddled with problems.

I had a downloaded notification tone from Zedge, but i deleted zedge and switched to a system tone after the problem started. I have taken battery out, still nothing. I assumed this was done in Settings->Sound->Default notification, but texts still come in with the original factory default tone. This is not good since I have so much trouble hearing the tone and subsequently miss texts. Do you have to set the tone and restart the phone? I've had a similar problem with ringtones as well. You set a custom ringtone for a contact, it acknowledges that the tone is set, but the tone that's played for the contact is the default. I'm honestly starting to regret getting this phone. I'm running the most recent firmware for the Photon Q 4G LTE (7.7.1Q-6_SPR-125_ASA-10). Unfortunately, the issue existed prior to the update and is still a problem.

When I open the phone it automatically answers the call. I want to change it so I can open the phone and then push "any button" before answering. Yes I did get this phone to actually talk on it.The phone was locked and the screen showed to answer the call with the big Green and Red buttons, but the green one to answer was covered by a popup window with details of the contact calling. I think it was details in the memo field.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter most calls, my phone will either lock up or take on a mind of its own by going to other screens at random, dial another number, sometimes do a pulsation or gittering of the screen. Othertimes it will start putting continuous numbers in the number dial area like continuous 3s or 6s. To remedy this I have to shut off the phone and restart. If I wait a while it will also start working normal again. Sprint has reset my phone and it had no impact on it.

I use my phone with a wired headset (no hang up botton on the headset). This also happens on speaker phone. If I'm on a conversation for several minutes and its time to hang up--I have to unlock and enter my password (required for corporate activesync) then push the end call button. This makes hanging up an awkward process--having to fumble around for several seconds while the other party gets to listen to you doing it. The lock doesn't happen all the time.
But one way for sure to recreate the behavior is to:
1. Set your screen timeout to 15 seconds.
2. Call the phone from another line. Answer phone and put it on speaker phone. Or use wired headset as I do.
3. Wait for screen timeout or just press power button while on the call. Now wake the phone up. The phone may or may not be locked now. But if you now press the Home softkey, the screen will certainly lock....while you are on a call! This means you know have to slide the lock and enter security code just to hang up on someone.
A better practice from a design stand point is that the phone should never lock while you are on a call. What purpose does it serve to lock while on a call? When it locks you can neither hang up, push dial tones, answer call waiting, etc. until you unlock it. This needs to be fixed.
