Motorola Atrix 2 :: When Make A Call Or Answer One Nobody Can Hear?
Feb 3, 2012
I just received a new Atrix 2. When I make a call or answer one nobody can hear me!. The phone seems to be muted. If then I turn on the speaker, people start to hear me! What may be happening?
I have a new X1 mobile and I cannot hear the other party when I make or answer a call. My voice is audible to other party. Audio is ok when I play multimedia files, radio and when I use hands free. Also audio is very weak and disrupted when in loudspeaker mode.
I just had a very fatal issue with my Atrix, it would not let me answer a phone call. Yes I did get this phone to actually talk on it.The phone was locked and the screen showed to answer the call with the big Green and Red buttons, but the green one to answer was covered by a popup window with details of the contact calling. I think it was details in the memo field.
for the second time I had some issues with the Atrix' touch screen now: First, I wanted to answer a call but the slider wouldn't react to my attempts to slide it to the right. I first thought it was my fault and I just missed the correct touch point. But one day later I had the same issue with an alarm clock.
OK, this is one of the very few issues I've had, and it is very intermittent. Since September, only has happened like 3-4 times.I make a phone call - or someone calls me - and I can't hear them; nor them me. The green "connection" icon is active in the top bar - as is my DIALER (when I initiate the call - "END CALL" is active). When I call them, I never hear anything - including the normal dial out 'connection/ringing' sounds. They in fact DO get the ringing on their end and answer, but to them it appears as if nobody is on the line.I've tried just a simple AIRPLANE mode toggle, but that doesn't fix it. A Power reset of my phone fixes it every time. Has anyone else experienced this?
I just got my G4 this week and I love almost everything about it! Anyway, I listen to spotify on my cars Bluetooth, but I learned tonight that if I get a call ( on call for work so I can't just ignore) I can answer, but the music just keeps playing and I can't hear the person on the other end. I must have my music and I don't like the installed music systems (canceled my service recently) .
I can only periodically make calls normally by placing call and then putting phone up to my head and listening to phone ring, and person answer. For whatever reason then the phone will behave erattically. It will only let me make a call using speakerphone.I cannot put phone up to my head and listen through earpiece, and the phone doesn't black out when putting up to my head.I guess the proximity sensor doesn't work or is buggy. Also, sometimes when I double tap on the Home button/key to start voice dialing I should be able to hear the phone ask me what I want to do, but I can't hear anything but I can see on the screen that It is asking me a question - but can't hear anything as I normally should. Then, a few hours later it all works beautifully.I have rebooted the phone, taken out the battery and put it back in, hard reset the phone.I even have just now taken my screen protector off and the phone worked for a few calls as it normally should - i put phone up to my ear and screen blacked out and I could hear other person on earpiece. Then about an hour later none of that worked.I could only use the speaker phone.the phone didn't black out when making a call and putting phone up to my ear, and the double tap home button/key invoked the voice dial interface but i couldn't hear the voice/phone prompt like normal. and confirmation of my commands
The level 2 tech support at moto didn't help with any more troubleshooting than what I have already done.Which is: restart phone...reset phone to factory settings (hard reset) wipe all data off phone...taken off screen protector...none of this worked and produced consistent results to say that any of these procedures produced a positive change in the phone.I am within my 30 day trial period of this phone purchased from Motorola.
One minor irratation I have is the phone keypad not being present when making a call. For instance, if you get a voicemail and you tap on the icon the standard active call screen opens, but you then need to touch an icon to open up the dialer pad so you can interact with the voicemail system. Is there any setting that allows the dialer pad to open automatically when a call is made? Would be really great if this feature could be selective for certain numbers such as voicemail.
Have a Atrix HD, about 6 months old. Today I went to make a call using a headset plugged into the headset jack, and nothing happened. The headset was not recgonized and all sound continued to come out the 'speaker'. (Either in "loud" speaker mode, or normal mode.) Tried another headset, same problem. Researched and went through the "check for debris and clean the jack" process with no improvement. Contacted Motorola support and they ended up offering to have it shipped to service center for repair/replace, but that means 7+ days without the phone. So I thought I'd check and see if anyone else has had such a problem.
Anyone else ever have headset jack "failure" like this on an Atrix unit? Oh, it also fails with a music player, or any other sound source, so it appears to be a general unit failure, not specific to any one app/function. I looked all over for some kind of setting to enable/disable the jack, but found nothing of use.
Clean boot (restart), the proximity sensor works fine (when on call it turns screen off, when moved away from face screen on). As soon as I make or receive call via bluetooth (Motorola brand btw.) The proximity sensor stops working. When on call it will not turn the screen off... Rebooting the phone will fix until a call is made/received via bluetooth. This was confirmed with other Moto phones (Photon...) as well as different bluetooth devices.
I am using Nokia X6-00 8GB, I have BH 214, I have successfully connect the Bluetooth headphone and i can heared music throgth it but when make call, the call is not handfree to bh 214.
I have had my iPhone 4s for less than a week and when I call people/they call me/I listen to voicemails, I can barely hear the other person - they sound very distant or muffled, no matter how much I turn up the volume.
If I have the phone on speaker or listen with headphones, I can hear them perfectly fine.
My iphone 4s is working fine apart from when I make or receive a call the other person cannot hear me but I can hear them. I have tried ringing a number of different numbers. Have a pressed something that has caused this.
for some reason i cannot hear the people i make calls too, i had my headphones in and removed them during a call and now i cannot hear the people i call. Ive tried resetting things and turning up the volume, but i still cant hear.
Just wondering if anyone else is having any problems with echo problems when maing a call. When I make a call i can hear myself a second after I speak. Does anyone know why this happens and is their anything I can do to stop it.
When i am trying to make a call to my another phone the dialer keeps on looping and does not disconnect, and when i call someone else as soon as i take the phone near to my ears the phone restarts.
I just got my ATRIX 4G on ATT in from repairing the screen from Motorola today. I download go launcher, go sms, and a few other GO apps, when my status bar just disappears. I find where I can open the status bar, but nothing happens. I then used home switcher to switch to motoblur home and then deleted go launcher. I then began noticing that it happened mostly in the go sms app. So I delete that and the problem still persists. Someone tried to call me and the screen was black and I couldn't answer, but I could hear it. I resboot my phone and the status bar appears for 5-10 minutes before disappearing again. I am tired of issues with this phone.
So today has started yet another problem. Now when I go to answer my calls or make a call, it is automatically on speakerphone. I turned my phone off and it helped for a few calls and now the problem has returned. I have heard of USB ports going bad or something of that sort (not really familiar with it). Hopefully this is not what happened, yet then again maybe I could get a refurb not riddled with problems.
I'm using a Motorola W385 and need to know how to change the way you answer a call.Right now when it rings the phone number shows up on the front, (when closed). When I open the phone it automatically answers the call. I want to change it so I can open the phone and then push "any button" before answering. I thought I read it in the users manual but now I can't find it.
Just received a call on my Photon. The phone was in sleep state. It did not provide any options for answering the incoming call although the ringtone was loud and clear. It was as though the ringtone went off on its own.
My Motorola Atrix 4G unlocked was purchased recently online from ebay USA. Its still in warranty. The phone is with me in India.
The phone woked fine for a month. But now I can not hear through the Phone's earpiece. This problem developed suddenly one day without any warning. I did not drop the phone or bang it against anything. I can hear through phone speaker, bluetooth headset or regular wired headphones but not through the earpiece.
I then upgraded the phone software thinking it might be a software issue. But it didnt work.
When leaving a voicemail for someone, often times they call right back while I am leaving the voicemail. I curently only get the option to answer the incoming call or ignore it. Is there a way to disconnect from the first call and answer the incoming call? Right now I have to "ignore" the incoming call, then "end call" that I am on and then call the person back again -or- "answer" the incoming call and leave the voicemail hanging. Seems there would be an option to end current call and then (or in the same action) answer the incoming call.
I just get my MotoACTV two days ago, after try it out i realize that i can't receive the phone call even i had plug in the default wired headphone (SF200 i though).in the display just show up "silence" text. i successfully sync my MotoACTV with my Droid 2 and i can get text message, twitter, weather, etc. the problem i get just to receive call.
When I make a normal skype to skype call I can't hear the other persons voice. Yesterday, I could hear on switching on the speaker but after doing a factory reset I can't hear any sound. Mic is working fine as the person on the other end can hear me properly. Is this a handset fault or normal with motorola ATRIX.
