When I make a normal skype to skype call I can't hear the other persons voice. Yesterday, I could hear on switching on the speaker but after doing a factory reset I can't hear any sound. Mic is working fine as the person on the other end can hear me properly. Is this a handset fault or normal with motorola ATRIX.

I am having issues with my bluetooth connection after installing the recent att update. It will show as connected but I can't hear the other person. I have to switch between bluetooth and speaker to hear the other peson. I never had problems before. I thought it is bluetooth problem and just received new headset from plantronics and it is doing the same.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI purchased this phone when us cell had them on sale for a penny.All was good until about 2 months ago when the phone started acting up.every few calls i make or recieve i am not able to hear the person on the other end until i turn off the phone then power up again.and now when i plug the headphones in to listen to music it will dial the last number that was called/recieved and thus makes the mp3 player useless.I have reset phone to factory and still have this issue.motos troubleshooter cant even help me.needless to say i will never by another moto phone again.

I noticed yesturday that i can receive phone calls through my motoactv using the bluetooth connection and also using the regular red headphones that come with the device. all seems well till i receive a call.I can receive calls, the mike feature works so the other person can hear me. I have an iPhone 4 and over the last few days I can't hear anyone when they call me or when I call them, however they can hear me. I have been using skype to call people on the phone via 3g and that works fine. It started as crackling and static on the line initally but now there is no sound at all. I've tried cleaing out the charger port and headphones jack, checked all volumes, restarted the phone and changed sim card but still to no avail.

I used my Motoactv last sunday for a 10K run and listened to the music the whole run. But today when I switched on the music I could hear nothing. Tested the earphone(Motorola earphone that comes in the pack) with my computer and it works. Restarted the device but still no luck. Can someone tell what can I do? Running 4.1.83 update. Prior to this update, Skype didn't work at all. Just static for the folks I was trying to talk to. I just removed Skype. After the update I re-installed, Skype and great, it works. It's important as I talk to a friend in South Africa fairly frequently. Then I started noticing reboots / crashes. Phone just restarts, big old Red M logo advertises the fact the phone has just fell over and is restarting. I think I'm noticing a pattern. I've started leaving Skype running in background so I can get incoming calls from my South African friend. Every time that I've noticed a reboot, Skype was running. It could also be related to poor signal strength. By the way, I'm using Skype over my WAN data, not Wifi. Is there a way to get a crash log from the system.

In order to hear it I have to turn the volume up which then makes the music uncomfortably loud (cort of like those annoying commmercials that are never at the same volume as the show you are watching).*** While the music does seem to quiet down a bit while metrics are being read, I would prefer it to auto-pause the music until after the coach is done reading the metrics. ***

I am US military stationed in the UAE, and the freedom police here have determined that people who live here should not be able to use Skype. We all get around this by using VPNs, but it doesn't seem to be working on my phone. Using the VPN on my router and the home wireless network, I got all the way to the download skype for Android button. When I tried to select my phone as the intended device, I got a message that said this country doesn't allow Skype, and it would not install. just push a button on the phone and do Skype to Skype, or even Skype to telephone with my family back in the US instead of firing up the computer. View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Motorola Atrix 4G unlocked was purchased recently online from ebay USA. Its still in warranty. The phone is with me in India.
The phone woked fine for a month. But now I can not hear through the Phone's earpiece. This problem developed suddenly one day without any warning. I did not drop the phone or bang it against anything. I can hear through phone speaker, bluetooth headset or regular wired headphones but not through the earpiece.
I then upgraded the phone software thinking it might be a software issue. But it didnt work.
Suddenly, I can no longer hear other person on the Bold 9700 phone, unless I plug in headset, or sometimes it works activating the speaker phone. Tried rebooting, upgrading OS to 6.0 and cleaning headphone jack with alcohol dipped q-tip stick. Speaker works fine in media mode.
