Just received a call on my Photon. The phone was in sleep state. It did not provide any options for answering the incoming call although the ringtone was loud and clear. It was as though the ringtone went off on its own.View 3 Replies View Related
When leaving a voicemail for someone, often times they call right back while I am leaving the voicemail. I curently only get the option to answer the incoming call or ignore it. Is there a way to disconnect from the first call and answer the incoming call? Right now I have to "ignore" the incoming call, then "end call" that I am on and then call the person back again -or- "answer" the incoming call and leave the voicemail hanging. Seems there would be an option to end current call and then (or in the same action) answer the incoming call.View 6 Replies View Related
I found another bug that is recreatable. If you are in the middle of sending a text message and using the voice input and talking to the voice input when a call comes in, the voice input is abandoned, the "answer/ignore" screen shows for a second. But before you can answer, the keyboard comes back up and covers it up, so you can't answer the call. And then the keyboard is stuck on the screen. "back" doesn't make it go away (so you still can't answer the call). Even if you go to the home screen, the keyboard is still on the screen. Stock phone, not rooted, all updates applied, etc.View 4 Replies View Related
Yesterday I realized that my phone was not receiving incoming texts or phone calls. I power cycled my phone and several texts from the last 1 1/2 days came through. My phone also started to work again. Has this happened to anyone else? Again this phone has a problem with its most basic function.View 2 Replies View Related
I was curious if there was a definitive answer as to why some people see "incoming call forwarded" across their screen when they get incoming calls. it prompts me to dismiss the message before i can actually answer the call. any answers mates?View 15 Replies View Related
My iPhone 4S is 16gb Black on AT&T with ios 5.1. Sometimes when I receive an incoming call my screen locks up. I can't swipe to answer, pushing the home button does nothing, however when I push the lock button it will stop the phone from vibrating. After the incoming call exits unanswered the phone is fully functional. This happens about once or twice a week and works normally otherwise.
iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1
I have strange problem with my HTC Desire HD (A9191) I updated to Android 2.3.5 some time ago and since then I have a problem. If my phone is locked, I can't answer incoming call from some numbers.
When there is incoming call and I pull the green ring to the bigger ring to accept the call, the phone wants to turn off and asks me to 'force close'. Of course, I can't answer the call anymore.
When there is incoming call and I pull the red ring to the bigger ring to decline the call, the phone totally freezes while still ringing. It keeps ringing for around 10-15 minutes and does not react to anything.
The problem does not occur when the incoming call comes when phone is unlocked (i'm using it at the moment of the call coming).
Several times since I purchased my new Blackberry Torch I have been unable to answer an incoming call - not always, but intermittently. I can hear the phone ringing, but no matter what I do it will not answer and it will not stop ringing!! The only way to stop it is to pull the battery out - my husband has the same phone and this has happened to him also.View 2 Replies View Related

I am listening to music, no matter which app, and if i get a call after I hang up my speaker phone turns on and plays the music as well as the headphones or speaker I have plugged in. I use Pandora, internal music player or power amp. The only way for it to stop is by restarting completely.View 1 Replies View Related
I have an issue with my Motorola photon 4g since I bought it (2 months old now). It may reboots when I am trying to make a phone call. It happens everyday randomly and it is getting worse. If one day I need to make an emergency, I may need to wait a few minutes for it to boot up (lol) before I can use it. I have used Palm treo phone for many year and never have any problem. I went to sprint service center and the sprint technician reset it but it still has the same problem. I will come back to Sprint again for service. FYI, I will update this post soon I have more info.View 4 Replies View Related

Ever since my phone was updated to ICS, I've noticed that once in a while (it's probably happened 5 times now) I can not answer an incoming phone call. Usually it's while my phone is in the Droid 4 car dock, but it has also happened without it being connected to anything. What happens is my phone will ring either through the phone speakers and my bluetooth headset (if connected), but the phone "answer" screen will not pop up, and the phone doesn't respond to any type of input, which forces me to reboot my phone by holding down the power/volume down buttons. Once the phone boots back up, there is no record of who called me in the recent calls list, so hopefully they leave me a voicemail otherwise I have no idea who called me. After the first couple times this happened, I decided to perform a factory reset, hoping that this would fix the lag/freeze up issue, but it did not correct this problem. The only way that I can think of trying to minimize the occurrences of the phone freezing up/ running sluggishly would be to perform a reboot every couple days or so to clear up the memory.View 3 Replies View Related

This is my first "smart" phone and I have a question that (I hope) has a simple answer. The phone produces sounds when e-mails or text messages come in as well as for phone calls, and I want it too. Except at night. Is there a way to set the Bionic so that ONLY an incoming phone call produces a sound?I have an elderly mother and need to receive an emergency phone call. However, I don't need want the phone to wake me up any time an e-mail or text message arrives. Sleep mode allows calls to come in but there is no sound.View 1 Replies View Related
So today has started yet another problem. Now when I go to answer my calls or make a call, it is automatically on speakerphone. I turned my phone off and it helped for a few calls and now the problem has returned. I have heard of USB ports going bad or something of that sort (not really familiar with it). Hopefully this is not what happened, yet then again maybe I could get a refurb not riddled with problems.View 7 Replies View Related
At random my Photon will not receive incoming phone calls. For instance, today this happened twice and the calls went directly to voicemail. Both calls came from other cell phones. This has happened a few times before while at work. I've had this phone for about 10 days now. System version 45.2.7, Android version 2.3.4, Build number 4.5.1A-1SUN-154_6.PDATE: 10-02-11: Again, phone would answer calls today at work. After 2 rings would go to voicemail. I have tried removing the battery and restarting but not luckView 5 Replies View Related
of a sudden my phone stopped making any sound on incoming text. I had a downloaded notification tone from Zedge, but i deleted zedge and switched to a system tone after the problem started. I have taken battery out, still nothing. It makes sound on incoming phone calls and media, just texting.View 1 Replies View Related
I'm having trouble setting a default tone for incoming texts. I assumed this was done in Settings->Sound->Default notification, but texts still come in with the original factory default tone. This is not good since I have so much trouble hearing the tone and subsequently miss texts. Do you have to set the tone and restart the phone? I've had a similar problem with ringtones as well. You set a custom ringtone for a contact, it acknowledges that the tone is set, but the tone that's played for the contact is the default. I'm honestly starting to regret getting this phone. I'm running the most recent firmware for the Photon Q 4G LTE (7.7.1Q-6_SPR-125_ASA-10). Unfortunately, the issue existed prior to the update and is still a problem.View 3 Replies View Related
Due to my corporate security policy on Mail For Exchange, I have to protect the phone with a lock code (auto-lock after being Idle for 5mins). The problem is that when the phone is locked with a code and I get an incoming call, I cannot answer the call. Clicking on the green button or on the touch screen or sliding the Unlock slider to "Answer Call" or "Unlock" does NOTHING. The only solution I found was to slide out the keyboard. This then allows me to click on "Answer" but this is a huge pain - to slide out the QWERTY keyboard everytime I receive a call.Does anyone have an answer for this?View 8 Replies View Related
i'm sure many of you will know how to do this, but it's not completely obvious so i thought it would do no harm to mention it.with the screen locked when you receive a call you get this screen.what this is telling you is that if you swipe your finger right you'll answer the call, and if you swipe it left you will unlock the screen and be presented with further options such as reject, reject with sms etc.View 84 Replies View Related

I have a Sprint Motorola Photon 4G and I am using it in Brazil with a Claro SIM Card. The phone reboots itself sometimes when I try to make or receive a phone call (2 or 3 times a day). I know this is happening to other Photon owners and I already tried the factory reset twice. My build # is 4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_6. Does anyone know a fix for that?View 15 Replies View Related

I have seen others having the same problem: it used to work fine, but suddenly I can't answer phone call by just swipe the screen. I have to unlock using the side unlock key, and answer the phone. I now set the Any key Answer function on, so I can answer by pressing the white key or the unlock side key. But I am afraid that the side lock key is going to give after prolonged use. And it's kind of inconvenient especially when I don't want to answer a call. I have tried soft reset, hard reset, and taking out the battery and everything. Nothing worked. Can anyone give me advice on this issue?View 6 Replies View Related
Is there a way to change this option? I can't figure out how to make it so that opening the phone does NOT answer the call...I want to have to push the little green button.View 9 Replies View Related

I'm charing my phone last night because it had one bar left. Picked up a few calls while it was charging and everything is fine. A few minutes later i get a call and try to pick up. Right when i go to answer the phone shuts itself off and restarts. Only, the problem is it kept restarting over and over and over again. I tried to replug it back into the charger and even take the battery out and try to charger again while the phone was off. I managed to get the phone to start charging a little but then it went back to restarting over and over again. I figured if i leave the battery out of the phone for the night things should be fine. Turns out I go back to my phone this morning and what do you know, the keypad lights up, but no response from anything else. The red light on the front won't even turn on along with either of the lcd screens.View 1 Replies View Related
