Jul 3, 2015I updated to lollipop and created my unlock to be a pattern. Now it won't let me go back to just a simple swipe.

View 1 RepliesI entered a password pattern hoping I could dump the goofy swipe lock in favor of the password pattern. Now I find out I can't get rid of the lock page or the password pattern. So I am swiping the lock page and then doing the password pattern.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am new to Android having just bought an S5, previously I had a Nokia Lumia. I wanted to set up some form of encryption for obvious reasons, and I am sure I just had to set up a password - now I have realised that there are other methods such as the pattern or pin, which I would prefer, but it will not let me click to change to any of the other options.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI have only had the Turbo a few weeks. I have turned on a call answer vibration somehow. My wife's doesn't do it. I cant figure out what I turned on. Need turning the vibrate pulse off. Its when swiping to answer incoming calls only. I have vibrate turned off under settings.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Motorola Droid Turbo. I have never locked the phone. I downloaded ANDROID PAY app last night. It required a screen lock to secure credit card. I agreed and set up a pattern screen lock. I got tired of unlocking phone every time. I went to disable the screen lock and I am NOT ABLE to do that. The security settings for NONE and SWIPE have been grayed out and are no longer an option. I have removed ANDROID PAY and still have issue.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to change the font on the turbo? I have friends who have Samsung, who are not very tech savvy and have adjusted different fonts, but I dont see an option on this phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought the Droid Turbo at the end of November. I've used the camera some, but when I opened the photos in Photoshop, they're only 72 dpi and I'd like them to be 200 dpi.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my Droid Turbo to Android 5.1. I did a factory reset immediately after the install and set up as a new device. I went to settings to change the launcher from Launcher3 (Turbo's default launcher) to Google. When I went in to the settings screen, the "Home" option was no longer available.
I tried force stopping and clearing memory on Launcher3 as well as Google App, but the Home option still isn't showing up.
Does the Turbo not have the ability to change the Launcher to the standard Google launcher? I miss swiping right to get to my Google Now cards .
Boot up screen, is there anyway how to change it without rooting on my droid turbo?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just finished a full wipe and chose to set up everything from scratch and not from Google backup. I know how to set up sounds for within each messaging app. But I can't find where to change it for Gmail app emails.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do you change the missed call notification? I have a song set for my ringtone and when I miss a call it plays the full song and won't stop. I've had to reboot the phone to make it quit.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have received a few phone calls within the past couple years where my called ID shows only "716" rather than the full number "716-xxx-xxxx". These calls were from mostly cell phones.
Is there away I can toggle this on... On my phone? Droid Turbo 1.
I don't need it all the time but it would be useful when making working calls when on the road so that they don't have my personal cell # and nobody ever answers " unknown" so *67 isnt the key.
I also am not really interested in spoofing my number with a fake one or creating a Google voice (or similar account) and then having two phone #'s to worry about.
On my droid turbo I have my contact list on the contacts icon on the main screen. In the phone dialer contacts list I have my wife's contact list that comes up. I can't figure out how to change that to my contacts lost.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my Droid Turbo, and while I was setting it up I vaguely remember seeing a settings screen for the command center widget. I didn't really understand yet what the command center was at that time, so I didn't change any of the settings. Now, however, I'm trying to get back to see what setting changes are possible and for the life of me can't figure out how to get to the settings screen.
When I tap on an open area of the command center near the top left (right under where the target GPS icon is displayed), a screen opens up for a VERY BRIEF quarter of a second and the top says "Command Center", as if that is going to open the settings screen. But then it immediately changes to the weather detail screen.
how do I get back to it?
How do you change the menu options? And by menu, I mean when you use the drop down notification bar and tap the icon in the upper right. On mine, I have "Owner", Brightness, Settings, etc. I'd really like be able to silence my phone from this menu. There are more spaces, so I feel like I should be able to change what's on there. And also, how do I set myself as the owner?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMore recently, my droid turbo has been turning rainbow colors instead of black with the time when it's charging. If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. I have my phone on the turbo charger when this happens!
View 9 Replies View RelatedI activated the pattern lock to see if I liked it. I don't!Went to settings/ Location and security/use visible pattern/"uncheck box. (Any sane person would asume this would disingauge the visable lock screen. Not so batman.... Just because this is how you turned it on does not mean it will turn if off!!!!)Go back to home screen. When slide security screen is pushed aside. There is the visable lock pattern screen again
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe upgrade to Gingerbread has been seamless aside from one issue that has recently popped up. I prefer that the only screen lock on my phone is the slider, but suddenly this option has gone away. When I hit the lock button, I expect that my phone's screen will go off and in order to turn it back on, I need to hit the lock button again and slide to unlock it. I do not want to enter a pattern, a pin, or a password. In order to get the slide lock to consistently show up after hitting the lock button, I need to add a pattern, pin or password. The slide lock will show up, but I also have to enter the pattern, pin or password after unlocking with the slide lock if the security lock timer setting has elapsed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo you turn on the X2, you have the green tab that you move to the right to access your home screen. I also have a security lock pattern that I use to unlock access. Is there a way to eliminate the standard unlock feature, so that I don't have to go thru 2 unlock screens to get to the homescreen? On my original Droid, once I programmed the lock pattern in, the standard one went away; not so with this one.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a DroidX2, and two times now it has rebooted on its own when doing the screen unlock swipe. Note that I have a passcode entry required to gain access to the device, but I cannot get to the point where I enter the passcode; rather, the phone reboots before passcode entry is permitted.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just switched from a Motorola Droid to a Droid X2. However, the lock screen is giving me issues. If I turn on pattern lock, it still leaves the slide lock activated. On the old Droid, it turned OFF the scroll lock when pattern lock was activated. How can I disable the scroll lock while pattern lock is activated? It's rather annoying having two lock screens...
View 4 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else had the pattern unlock delayed upon opening. I've been having it where i can swype to the right, unlock it and the pattern lock isn't there, but when i start to do something, it realizes that the pattern lock didn't work and it will re-lock?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter my last thread which pointed out I was just simply lookin in the wrong place I bet there is a pretty easy solution for this too, I just can't seem to find it.Currently when unlocking my phone, I have to do the slide to unlock, and then input my pattern to unlock. I want my phone so that when I only have to do the pattern. The security options on the phone allow for "None", "Pattern", "Password", and "Pin". It says nothing of the slide to unlock feature and I can not figure out how to turn the thing off.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI wish Motorola would get this right on its phones, although it may be an Android issue. When I'm on a headset the phone is in my pocket. I have pocket detection on. When a call comes in (on call waiting) the screen pops up and becuase there is an answer button rather than a swipe, without fail, the incoming call is answered.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter doing recent updates, the normal swipe-to-unlock feature of my Bionic stopped working. When I press the power button, I'm taken right to the home screen; I don't have to unlock. Even if I use Settings -> Location & Security and add a PIN or pattern lock, these do not work; each time I turn the phone back on, I go right back to the home. Sometimes the swipe screen flashes up but then disappears. The "Security lock timer" setting does not matter (i.e. it is set to 1 minute, but even after that, the phone is never locked. Occurs even after a hard reboot (shutdown, remove battery, power back up), although sometimes the swipe to unlock works for a short time. I've never rooted this phone or done much else beside install some apps from the Android Market. I do have Lookout running.
