I entered a password pattern hoping I could dump the goofy swipe lock in favor of the password pattern. Now I find out I can't get rid of the lock page or the password pattern. So I am swiping the lock page and then doing the password pattern.

I prefer that the only screen lock on my phone is the slider, but suddenly this option has gone away. When I hit the lock button, I expect that my phone's screen will go off and in order to turn it back on, I need to hit the lock button again and slide to unlock it. I do not want to enter a pattern, a pin, or a password. In order to get the slide lock to consistently show up after hitting the lock button, I need to add a pattern, pin or password. The slide lock will show up, but I also have to enter the pattern, pin or password after unlocking with the slide lock if the security lock timer setting has elapsed.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a couple phones. Well, quite a few. It started when I could not download books to the Turbo. It just put an exclamation point in the title and says sorry, try again later. I try again later for several days, and nothing changes. On the other hand everything works fine on my other phones, and I can log into Amazon no problem. So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Kindle.
This is not a complete uninstall of course since Kindle is pre-installed and unless you root, you're stuck with it. But after I uninstalled the updates it still would not work. So I nuked from orbit by wiping the phone and reinstalling Kindle (well, updating the built-in version). Well, THAT changed it. Now it won't take the password. It allows me to CHANGE the password, and I did that. But even after changing it (successfully it said) and verifying that the new PW worked on another phone and on my laptop, it still won't take it. It says that username/password combination does not exist.
When emails are deleted from phone, they are also deleted from desktop Outlook 2010 (GoDaddy is email supplier). Where do I change the settings? on the phone or desktop email? and what do I need to set them to? IMAP or POP?

If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. I have my phone on the turbo charger when this happens!

(Any sane person would asume this would disingauge the visable lock screen. Not so batman.... Is there a way to eliminate the standard unlock feature, so that I don't have to go thru 2 unlock screens to get to the homescreen? I want my phone so that when I only have to do the pattern.The security options on the phone allow for "None", "Pattern", "Password", and "Pin". It says nothing of the slide to unlock feature and I can not figure out how to turn the thing off.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI want to take full advantage of HD video camera on my Droid Turbo, and found an external lavalier lapel microphone (Audio Technica 3350iS, which comes with an adapter for "smartphones including iPhone and newer Android phones"). But even when I use the adapter, the video recorder will only use the phone's on board mic. How can I disable/mute the onboard mic? Scoured the interweb, and at one point there was a perfect app "Mute Mic", but the NSA or Google or Motorola decided it was too useful to live.

I often find myself disappointed in the output. The really strange part is that I swear that it changes somehow. One phone call on speakerphone is great. Same number calls back later and not so much! I didn't change anything. I then try to increase my volume to no avail. My Bluetooth does that as well watching a YouTube video. I can start the video nice and loud. Stop it for a bit to return later and I can't hear the dang thing.
I use all factory Android software without any additional apps, etc. for volume controls. All levels are set to high. No droppage or any damage to the speaker or phone.
