View 2 RepliesI used to be able to just use the side volume control and turn it all down and it would mute the ringer but allow notifications for texts and emails. That, suddenly has gone. I have tried everything I can think of to do. Setting priorities does nothing. The moment that the ringer turns off, the vibration icon grays out. I get it back if I turn the ringer to its lowest setting but I do not want that. At work, having just the vibration running for calls and texts was perfect.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo since this phone does not have an LED light, the only way to know when you have a message is via Moto Display, right? Well, now the display comes in anytime there is any vibration, its diving me nuts. The MotoDisplay has no options other than on/off? I really just want the screen to turn on when I either have a new message or when I wave my hand over it, NOT when it senses vibrations. If the phone is on my couch, the display comes on all the time. Even when its on my desk, it can sense when i drop a folder or book on it and the screen turns on. Are there really no ways to turn off the vibration sensors?????

Need turning the vibrate pulse off. Its when swiping to answer incoming calls only. I have vibrate turned off under settings.
View 1 Replies View RelatedTried searching but came up empty. Every time I go into the camera app, it turns on the flash LED's as if I turned on a flashlight app. No matter what setting, it stays on.

An example would be i would say my launch phrase ok google now navigate to 123 main street and it would respond back "OPENING GOOGLE navigating to 123 main street". How do i stop it from saying OPENING GOOGLE every time prior to it performing the task i ask it to do. The TALK BACK function is OFF on my phone and it still does it. Also how am i able to ask it to perform a function from ANY screen. That launch phrase only works on one screen.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way for Bluetooth to turn on automatically when the phone is in drive mode? I have already paired my Bluetooth car stereo with my phone. I do not want to use NFC tags or paid apps like Tasker.
View 3 Replies View Related After the 5.1 upgrade, my automation apps can't turn off mobile data anymore. That was how I was stopping beeps while I was sleeping. How do I get the phone to go completely silent except for phone calls overnight?
My goal: phone goes silent during set night hours; the only thing that can get it to make noise is a phone call or alarm. It would also be convenient to be able to toggle that mode on or off manually. I need it to be 100% effective in shutting up every single app and beep, and so far the only way I've found to do that is to turn off all data connections.
Would the new 5.1 "Downtime" option fix this problem? On the Interruptions settings page, I could set only phone calls to be priority interruptions, and then set only priority interruptions to come up during quiet hours. Would that really stop all apps, or just those that play nice? Can't seem to trigger that downtime time manually, though.
I've been using Battery drain analyzer free to set up a silent mode at night. It has a simple night and day setting, where at a set time, it can turn things off or on. So every night at bedtime, it turns off wifi, sync, and mobile data, so the only things that could really happen are phone calls and text messages. (I'd like to silence texts, too, but have not figured that out.) Then it all comes back on at a set time in the morning. Simple and straightforward -- that's all I want. It's also convenient to be able to hit the "night" button if I go to bed early or sleep past the usual wakeup time, or to hit the "day" button if I wake up early.
But with the update to 5.1, that app doesn't automatically turn off mobile data anymore. I've also noticed that my Power Toggles notification bar button no longer turns off mobile data with one click; instead it sends me to the settings page for mobile data, where I click again to turn off mobile data. There's no option in Automate It, either.I'm guessing that this is a settings change in 5.1.
I don't like the feature of being able to wave my hand across the lock screen and the screen turns back on, showing alerts etc... How can I turn this off?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMore recently, my droid turbo has been turning rainbow colors instead of black with the time when it's charging. If I press the lock button myself, the phone will lock and stay black with the time. If I unlock my phone and let it be, it'll turn to the rainbow colors. I have my phone on the turbo charger when this happens!
View 9 Replies View RelatedFirst, my xperia x10i had frequent starts up, minutes after, signal lost. It has a red X mark on the signal status . once you make call its says no signal or insert sim. I did that a lot but nothing happens. So i decided to re installing the 2.1 update using PC companion. It helps,, everything was ok for one day.. After which, it restarts again and again, signal lost and reintall again the 2.1 update. But this time, after i press the power button , the vibration never stops... it never started up.
View 3 Replies View RelatedGiven that the Droid Pro has a physical keyboard, I'd like to be able to type out long emails. However, it seems that Droid thinks I hold the buttons to long and launches the search browser anytime I hold a key down for longer than a nano second (which I guess happens a lot when I type). How do I disable all Long press application launches - especially Google Search? I did disable all other applicatins thru the Settings menu but can't seem to get rid of Goolgle search launching ever minute as I type on the keyboard.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI checked it in the settings " Vibrate on Keypress " and it ONLY happens when the unit is plugged in! I went back to Verizon and the same thing happened on the display unit! Most Android smartphones Vibrate when ever you press ANY KEY or icon.. Not this one! Why in the world would it ONLY Vibrate when PLUGGED in?
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy phone vibrates for phone calls and texts but not emails.I just want to make sure this is reported somewhere. I called Motorola directly but they are reluctant to report anything.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI wish Motorola would get this right on its phones, although it may be an Android issue. When I'm on a headset the phone is in my pocket. I have pocket detection on. When a call comes in (on call waiting) the screen pops up and becuase there is an answer button rather than a swipe, without fail, the incoming call is answered.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe hard press buttons (menu, home, back, search fail to light up sometimes. Even when I cover the sensor, it does not turn on. I cannot find a setting to turn it off or on. Even at night, it rarely lights up.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any information about haptic feedback (vibration) signals on the Droid 4? I have noticed sometimes after adjusting the volume with the side-mounted rocker buttons that I will sometimes experience a double (short) vibrate or a longer vibrate, but it doesn't seem to happen all the time. I have also experienced these feedback signals at other times, and can't figure out what is triggering them or what they are meant to indicate. They don't seem related to notifications or other obvious indications.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been using my Droid X problem free for about a month but this morning my phone completely stopped vibrating. It worked properly when my alarms went off around 7 AM but when I got to work around 8:30 there was no notification vibrations, no haptic feedback, and the phone didn't vibrate when I set it to vibrate mode. I didn't touch the phone at all between the time I woke up and the time I pulled it out at work (except to shut the alarms off) so I'm just very confused as to why all of a sudden the vibrate will not function. I have tried rebooting, battery pulls, and changed every vibration setting I could find but to no avail.
View 2 Replies View Relateda couple of issues with Droid X2, that's otherwise an awesome, very fast and responsive phone:
1.My new Droid X2 takes 2-3 seconds to turn on the screen after the power button is pressed to take it out of sleep mode, is there a way Motorola can address this issue since it did not exist in Droid X1.
2.I wish there was a way to disable vibration on the unlock slider (I know it didn't exist on DX1) but it'd be nice to have ability to not have that.
3.Is there a way to make it so that when you turn on the phone it does not make a loud "Droid" sound? Even if it's in silent or vibrate mode it still makes that sound, this didn't exist in DX1.Otherwise I like the screen more than in DX1 because it's more contrasty, sharper, and way more responsive to touch, which is great. The motoblur and interface.Same can be said about the whole phone, it's faster/more responsive and more refined UI compared to DX1 in my opinion, good job there.
1.Please add a numeric battery percentage indicator overlaying or next to the battery meter in top notification bar, or atleast return the battery percentage info in the settings like it was in DX1, otherwise one has to go Settings -> About -> Status to see it.
2.Please make gallery display all the pictures after a single-click on gallery app, instead of having to first click on gallery, then wait for some slide-show preview to render, then having to click on "Camera Roll" to get to actual pictures. Seems like a 10 second (2 click) process to view your pictures, it really should just be 1 click and 1-2 second process...
3.Please allow to turn off vibration on slider unlock, as well as "Droid" sound when phone boots up.
4.Please add ability to remove 7 home-screens and set it to only 1 if that's what I use.
5.Allow more icons on the home-screen, I think 5 rows can easily fit, maybe even 5 columns, or 6 rows, instead of generic 4 x 4.
I just bought the Droid 4 yesterday and the keys do not react until I press them about 3 or 4 times. Is something wrong with the phone, should I take it back, or is this a deficiency with all Droid 4 phones. Is there a sensitivy setting for the menu keys.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI got my tablet today and have been enjoying playing with it except for one issue. The power button is very difficult to press and get it to register. I have to press it at just the right angle and in just the right spot in order to get it to turn on or off the screen / tablet. The volume buttons make a slight clicking noise and are much easier to press so I was wondering if the power button should also move easier and make a slight clicking sound or if all the tablets have a power button that's hard to get to register?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI noticed immediately that the haptic feedback out of the box was really weak. Oddly, once I installed SwiftKey and adjusted its haptic KB feedback that now the keys are old giving a much stronger feedback.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI never did figure out the white LED when plugged into a low/high power USB port, but now just after I begin to play music through the stock player and turn of the screen the phone vibrates once. Then in about a min it vibrates 2 quick vibes. Then, never does it again until the music player is exited and started again.
