The hard press buttons (menu, home, back, search fail to light up sometimes. Even when I cover the sensor, it does not turn on. I cannot find a setting to turn it off or on. Even at night, it rarely lights up.
View 3 RepliesI just bought the Droid 4 yesterday and the keys do not react until I press them about 3 or 4 times. Is something wrong with the phone, should I take it back, or is this a deficiency with all Droid 4 phones. Is there a sensitivy setting for the menu keys.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI got my tablet today and have been enjoying playing with it except for one issue. The power button is very difficult to press and get it to register. I have to press it at just the right angle and in just the right spot in order to get it to turn on or off the screen / tablet. The volume buttons make a slight clicking noise and are much easier to press so I was wondering if the power button should also move easier and make a slight clicking sound or if all the tablets have a power button that's hard to get to register?
View 6 Replies View Relatedever since the 2.3.4. update i found my button hard buttons stay lit when watching videos. they used to time out after a min or two but now never time out. is this normal now and is there a way to shut them off when watching videos at night. it is annoying that they stay lit especially at night. i do not have the dx2 in a doc when watching the videos. just have it on wifi and watching cnet tv and Internet stuff.

In the corner near the search capacitive button I noticed the lighting for the capacitive button seeps out a little, like a very small amount. It doesn't overwhelm the screen or anything. When holding my phone upright and looking down towards the capacitive buttons, I do notice some light coming out from the left and right corners. if this is because of the design and is normal? Or is it a flaw in the phone?!

Ive been in settings and looked everywhere to see if there is an option to turn it on and off but I can't see anything. It is really annoying as I can't see the buttons at all when is dark.
I had been successfully syncing with my coporate exchange server since I got my Droid X last year. I received the OTA update last night for my Droid X. This morning I started the install. After the install it said that my administrator said that I must encrpyt the data on my phone for to be able to sync with the exchange server. I said yes and the phone went through a lengthy process to encrypt the data. After that it showed a coporate sync connect error. I re-entered my password but that did not help. The error says the the administrator is unable to provision my phone. I tried deleting the account and adding it back in and still get the same error.I looked at the data encryption settings under location and security and now it says that I cannot turn off data encryption. It says "The encryption settings was turned on by your administrator. You cannot turn it off". If I cannot connect to corporate email anymore, I do not want the data encrypted as I am sure it will slow down the phone.

I noticed that I was pressing very hard, harder than usual, on the phone and that screen began to "flicker" when I removed my finger from the screen it returns to normal. My guess is that I the glass bends and touches the display.

Similar to a previous question, one day after purchasing the Razr I played a song with the included My Music player via MotoCast and enjoyed the lyrics display. Immediatly after playing the song I played it again and could not get the lyrics to reappear. No setting changes on the Razr, tried everything suggested in the forums including other songs, pressing on the song window, etc. Live music information setting shows green check mark next to "Song Lyrics."

A while back, when texting, the T would not press at all. It cleared up after a few months. Now, several keys will not type or will register another letter. Also, in Twitter or several apps, the button pressed will not connect, but instead another button. It will also move without being pressed as in switching from month view to day view in the calendar completely on its own. The screen will also shake up and down and I lose track of what I am reading. It is very, very aggravating. Has anyone been able to correct this on their iPhone. I have turn it completely off and back on, let it think about itself, etc.

Given that the Droid Pro has a physical keyboard, I'd like to be able to type out long emails. However, it seems that Droid thinks I hold the buttons to long and launches the search browser anytime I hold a key down for longer than a nano second (which I guess happens a lot when I type). How do I disable all Long press application launches - especially Google Search? I did disable all other applicatins thru the Settings menu but can't seem to get rid of Goolgle search launching ever minute as I type on the keyboard.
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy storm fell out of my holster a week ago and scratched it around where the lock button and mute button are and the lock button is hard to press down to get it to lock i used to be able to hold it in one hand and lock it with just my finger. now i have to use my other hand and press real hard on it to get it to lock and sometimes it takes a few seconds to unlock and then sometimes it will unlock and then re lock right away and vise versa. im gonna get a new cover for the scratched area but has anyone fixed this before.

But I can't go past the plug the cable and hold the back button. I tried both the companion and the update service but I can't go past the plug in and press back buttons. If I hold it for a longer period of time, the phone just turns back on.
