Motorola Droid Bionic :: On But Inaccessible - Buttons Not Responding
Oct 17, 2011Two times over the weekend my Bionic has gotten to a point where the phone's power buttons nor any of the other buttons would respond. There was only the green indicator blinking on the front of the phone and it seemed to be frozen. I waited around 10 minutes and tried pressing the power button again, holding it down and pressing it repeatedly. Nothing. I did a battery pull on the phone and when I booted it back up it seemed to work.

Motorola Droid Bionic :: Side Buttons Control Screen Rotation?
May 12, 2012the option to have the side buttons control screen rotation is Massively Useful. It would be so much easier to do that as a shortcut, rather than having to go to settings etc every time to turn it on and then back again to turn rotation off.requently I want the screen to rotate for just a couple of images, and then flip it back to static. We can make this happen

Nov 12, 2011While in landscape mode (I first noticed this while watching Netflix). In the corner near the search capacitive button I noticed the lighting for the capacitive button seeps out a little, like a very small amount. It doesn't overwhelm the screen or anything. When holding my phone upright and looking down towards the capacitive buttons, I do notice some light coming out from the left and right corners. if this is because of the design and is normal? Or is it a flaw in the phone?!

Nov 28, 2011If you have read my posts you know that I am now on Bionic #3. Unfortunately this one has issues as well. One of those issues is the proximity sensor doesn't work correctly. It will work for a little while and then a reboot is required to make it work again. If you don't know what the proximity sensor is, it is a sensor at the top of the phone that detects when you have the phone near your face. It will cut the screen on/off so that your face doesn't hit the keypad. It is very annoying and almost impossible to make phone calls with this sensor messed up.

Oct 25, 2012This botched release of ice cream has taken a lot of time. Support personnel don't know the product. I've been disconnected twice from Motorola personnel. That's an old trick - hang up on the customer in mid-sentence - pretend it's a phone problem - don't call back.
I've figured out most of the goop. The last problem I have is that I do get the green notification light for text messages but it's gone for e-mails. Does anyone know how to get the light back?
Motorola, you did a poor job with this release. Support personnel don't know the product and you are way understaffed to handle all the calls.

Oct 21, 2012I get a flashing blue or green light in the upper right hand corner of my phone, next to the proximity sensor. Does anyone know what the notifications are for? I know its for a new message but what color is for what message? I looked all over the user guide but it doesn't tell me which color is for which notification. The colors don't seem to be consistent with the new messages I get.

Dec 15, 2011As usual, went to look at phone, BSOD, green blinking light. Battery pull, reboot. Don't know why the green light was blinking, there were no new messages, on the phone after the reboot. Ok, now after the reboot I had no data connecetion at all now. Took about 10 minutes, I kept playing with the settings and the data finally came back. It was 4G full bars, go figure. Im in Las Vegas not a new fringe area. I can take any issure or bug with this phone except this one, where the phone goes dead and you never know it. I just don't understand. Their actually gonna make me take it on the chin and go buy a different phone.

Sep 10, 2011I went into the settings->call settings->voicemail settings and changed the voicemail number to be *86,,0000 (replace 0000 with my actual voicemail pin) so that it would dial, then pause (twice), then send my pin. This works if I use the #1 speed dial shortcut to voicemail, or if I just use my contacts entry for voicemail.
It doesn't work if I use the voicemail app shortcut that is on the home screen. Does anyone know a way to get that voicemail app shortcut on the home screen to use the voicemail settings?

I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa.Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.

Nov 17, 2011Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).

At work and mobile I am usually 4G.I expect to be on 4G for a few years (5G anytime soon?) and was thinking of spending $$$ on a Wilson repeater to pick up 4G with a directional antenna and amplifier for home: url...I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and the principals involved seemed sound to me.Also, does anyone know how to put the Bionic into Field Test Mode?
