Since yesterday I can only use my X8 by speakerphone or bluetooth device. Through a normal phone call, people can hear me, but I'm not able to hear them. I already repaired the phone using PC Companion, but no help.
So I connected my Bell Vibrant to my Win7 X64 PC via Bluetooth, and all sorts of funny issues happen when attempting to control dialing from my PC, and use my computer as a speakerphone. To begin with, the "Hangup" button doesn't work, plus whenever I press the "Connect" button to "Use this computer as a headset or speakerphone for calls on your phone (Galaxy S)," the phone starts dialing the number written in the "Make a call to this number:" field (when there's a number written there--otherwise it would start dialing the latest dialed number) without my having to press the "Connect" button. Ain't that funny? Anyone else going through this?
All of a sudden, in the middle of a call, the other person could not hear me. It was not accidentally switched to speaker (I checked). After trying to call back a few times, I figured out it would work on speaker. I found a thread where someone said they took a pin and cleaned out the small mic, and that worked for them. Having no pin, I tried a paperclip ... and it seemed to work ... for a couple minutes. Now its back to speaker only! Also ... I now notice that when I try and use voice Google ... The phone does not hear my voice. This phone is only about 6 or 7 weeks old.
Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this as even the mighty Google didn't offer a great deal.
A lot of people post about the 'Battery fully charged' notification being a pain but, I turn my phone off every night when charging but even then it vibrates when the charge is complete.
If there any way to disable this feature without rooting the handset?
I smashed my screen and took it to get repaired screen has now been fixed repair shop put new software on the samsung galaxy s2 Ice Cream Sandwich but put earphones into the jack and the music was only playing out of the phone not on the earphones whats wrong with it?
Firmware was updated to Gingerbread 2.3.6. New handset has ICS 4.0?Last backup was obviously with 2.3.6 (two weeks ago, full backup carried out via Kies). Will I be able to restore the data in the last backup successfully onto my new handset? OR will there be some sort of glitch with the ICS not recognising Gingerbread?
i've installed the latest version of Kies which goes by with no problems. Connect the phone to the PC and Kies recognises a Samsung device is trying to connect as the phone icons remains 'connecting'. However, that's it, it goes no further than this. 'My Computer' sometimes recognises the phone as a device, sometimes not, and the Device Manager is currently flagging up the phone as the only problem with the PC, saying in its device status that: This device cannot start (Code 10).
Experiencing static or hissing sound over speakerphone and headphones? This is improved by turning Audio Effects OFF, but not eliminated. I also went to the Verizon store and tried out a display Razr M and it had the same problem. This is very noticeable over headphones when listening in a quiet room. The behavior is independent of audio source, headphone type and speaker vs. headphone jack.
I've had my handset for just 3 days and the sound has stopped working. It works fine when I have headphones plugged in but nothing without.I'm going to try a factory reset in case an app I have installed is preventing the sound but I must say I'm pissed off as I've spent a lot of time customising it and getting it exactly as I want it...Anyone else had this? On another forum it says it might be the headphone socket sensor, so I tried plugging and unplugging headphones several times to no avail...
I have had the Galaxy SII for six months and it has been great, but suddenly the speakerphone is now always "on" by default for incoming calls. I can turn it off every time a call comes in because the speakerphone icon appears during the call, but how do I disable it? It's very annoying.
When someone phones me and i press answer button - the speaker (at the top of the phone) is loud for 1 sekond. Everyone can hear it. And its every call.
I got attached to only one thing during my time on Windows Phone. I used to be able to have Cortona "Call X on Speakerphone" and it would automatically dial and turn on the speakerphone. Only thing I loved about that os.
I've read several tips from others about this problem (cleaning the headset jack, switching back and forth between speakerphone and regular, etc.). None of them have worked...
While in a call using the speakerphone, the Z2 uses only the bottom speaker to deliver the voice. This makes the conversation ridiculously low, esp while driving with ambient noise...
In the last few days or so after updating to 4.4 I've noticed that the speakerphone comes on automatically when placing a call. This is incredibly annoying.
Is it all possible to make a speakerphone call whilst using Siri, it seems a bit redundant to use Siri make the call, then to have to pree the Spekaerphone icon.
I have just recently noticed that my speakerphone stopped functioning during a call. I can hear, but when speakerphone is pushed, the other party doesn't hear me. My mic works fine so that's not it.
My mic does not work in speakerphone mode. I does however work in normal phone mode, and at the same distances that it does not work in speaker mode. Google voice search works just fine. I'm certain that the mic is not the problem. A factory reset did not solve the issue.
This happens with my Nexus 6 too. When I say "Ok Google, call [contact name] on speaker phone", I still have to manually push the speakerphone icon. The voice prompt says "calling xxx on speakerphone", but it doesn't activate the speakerphone.
Everything functions fine on my iPhone 4 except the native phone app. I can dial out and answer calls. However, I cannot hear any sound coming out of the earpiece or speakerphone and the person on the other end of the line cannot hear me and the iPhone shows that we are connected. I use apps like Skype and Viber and I am able to make and receive phone calls fine. I can hear the caller and they can hear me. I restarted my iphone, I did a hard reset. I even backed up my iphone and restored it to default settings and the problem still persists.
My Galaxy S II has the annoying habit of having its screen go into idle or sleep mode and then blacken when I'm on a call. I want to have the "Phone" screen showing up at all times when I'm on a call, so I can access the speakerphone, etc. Is there a way to "lock" the screen in "Phone" mode when I'm on a call?
not much difference in the galaxy family that i can imagine (although i haven't dug around to know exactly) but besides the fact that there is no where to place the stylus on the S2, will the stylus or "S - Pen" as i've read it called work with the phones? or is there something more technical involved that will not allow this to work? and if it does work, where do you buy one (or two or three as replacements) ;-)
Does anyone know how to do this?I usually press answer and then press the speakerphone button but surely there is a way to answer the call and go to speakerphone in one button.I dont want a default speakerphone option as I only require this function while driving.
When I tap the phone icon I am presented with ALL activity (calls and SMS) listed by the name of the person called/messaged. I'd like to see just the phone calls I have made/received.
