I have had the Galaxy SII for six months and it has been great, but suddenly the speakerphone is now always "on" by default for incoming calls. I can turn it off every time a call comes in because the speakerphone icon appears during the call, but how do I disable it? It's very annoying.

View 18 Replies View RelatedMy white Galaxy s2 i9100 went off suddenly yesterday while i was browsing. Initially I thought it was the battery since it was around 12%(which is unusual) when that happened. When I put it on charger it refused to charge and when i use the USB cord on my laptop it refused to come on, the laptop cannot even detect the phone. Normally even when the battery is dead when I fix it on the laptop it starts charging right away, but not this time.
I tried hard resetting by pressing the volume up/down + power button but nothing happened. This morning I made some research and found out that it is possibly the IC circuit that needs to be changed. Some people with similar problem even went further by changing the motherboard when in fact it is the IC that needs to be changed.
I cannot take my phone to the Samsung office here since I didn't get it directly from them so I will be seeing a technician to do this for me. I am in Gambia, it is possible our technicians here do not even have the correct tool to do it without damaging the phone for good, so I'm thinking of sending it to Dakar for repair.
My t-mobile uk s2 has started behaving oddly.this morning calls were fine but tonight i cant make or receive calls,they just stop with a call ended note .

Whenever I try to turn it on the welcome screen "samsung powered by android" comes up for 1 second and then goes black and nothing else happens. I've had the phone for about 8 months and never rooted or installed any software other than official updates. I was just playing a game while it was charging when it stopped working.
every combination of buttons i press even the factory reset gives the same result, the welcome screen for 1 second and then nothing. I was able to get to the OS change warning screen though but when i cancel it goes back to the welcome screen problem. Charging it shows the charging symbol going on and off every second.
So I connected my Bell Vibrant to my Win7 X64 PC via Bluetooth, and all sorts of funny issues happen when attempting to control dialing from my PC, and use my computer as a speakerphone. To begin with, the "Hangup" button doesn't work, plus whenever I press the "Connect" button to "Use this computer as a headset or speakerphone for calls on your phone (Galaxy S)," the phone starts dialing the number written in the "Make a call to this number:" field (when there's a number written there--otherwise it would start dialing the latest dialed number) without my having to press the "Connect" button. Ain't that funny? Anyone else going through this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to talk on speakerphone, people tell me they can barely hear me. Sometimes my voice is clear, other times it sounds like I am muffled or far away. A phone case is not in the way, nor is the microphone clogged. The phone has done this since I bought it 5 months ago.
I am able to use the voice recorder and can be heard fine.Samsung told me to do a complete reinstall of the phone. I do not want to back everything up and risk losing data as I have syncing issues with my mac.
Recently on my S6E, whenever I make or answer a phone call the speaker phone is always turned on. How to remedy this?

When I answer phone calls the speaker is off but no matter what I try it is still shown. S-voice auto start speakerphone is off.
What could trigger this icon ?

When I call someone, i hear nothing, no connection sounds or ringing sounds during this time they pick up their phone and say "hi" again i cant hear anything, they can hear me clearly.... so i put it on speakerphone and i can hear them fine and they hear me..... so i switch speakerphone off and i can hear fine thru phones earphone speaker as normal.... why....
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden, in the middle of a call, the other person could not hear me. It was not accidentally switched to speaker (I checked). After trying to call back a few times, I figured out it would work on speaker. I found a thread where someone said they took a pin and cleaned out the small mic, and that worked for them. Having no pin, I tried a paperclip ... and it seemed to work ... for a couple minutes. Now its back to speaker only! Also ... I now notice that when I try and use voice Google ... The phone does not hear my voice. This phone is only about 6 or 7 weeks old.

I thought that was odd, since I generally got four or five days service out of it before needing charging. So I put it on the charger and charged it up, and about six hours later the phone was dead again.I then purchased another OEM Samsung battery. Same problem; the phone needs recharged after five or six hours. Also, while fiddling with the phone, I noticed that I can no longer shut the phone off by pressing the PWD/END button--it shuts off and then immediately reboots back on.I called Straight Talk support and described my phone's battery life and power button symptoms. The rep immediately stated that Straight Talk would send me a replacement, making me wonder if there's a hardware or firmware problem in the phone they know about. However, the catch is that I have to send in my phone first and then they'll send the replacement, about a 15 day turnaround, according to the rep. I really don't want to be without a phone that long, so I'm looking at alternatives. Anyone have any experience with this sort of phone behavior before and have any suggestions for things I might try before sending the phone in for replacement?

Theres a red battery sign and exclamation mark when I attempt to turn on the device. When plugged in with USB cable a battery sign with a plug inside it shows up but phone still won't turn on or sync with my pc.
I have misplaced my wall charger, is this an issue that can be solved with a wall charger, a battery issue or do I need to send it to a cell phone shop for them to fix it?
My brother has a S5 from Verizon that is about a year and a half old. He's been using it with no problems. Woke up at about 2:30am and it was working fine but at 7am it was dead. It will not turn on, has no lights present, nothing. We've tried to restart it using the volume, lock, and power keys. We've taken the phone apart and looked at all the parts. Verizon ran a online check of some sorts and says it's nothing in their system. We know the battery and sim card works because he is using it in my dad's S5. We wouldn't worry about the phone so much but he has pictures of his son on there. He had some left on it before he started using a sd card.

I never changed anything email or sync related for a long time so it makes this harder to solve. I dont even remember having sync on ever for my Yahoo emails (maybe this sounds stupid and it was on the whole time but I cant remember). Anyway I tried deleting the accounts and re-adding, using the default email app and adding the same accounts, clearing app date/caches, re-installing Yahoo app, clearing cache partition, and turning all the syncs on/off and playing with those settings. What I did notice was a suspicious log in a few days ago from out of state which I am not sure is part of this or not, but it was on android supposedly, I changed my PW just to be sure.

I tried checking if it was the battery and it wasnt, I tried rebooting it and it didnt work either. I know its not the screen because it would at least vibrate or make noise or light up but the only thing that lights up is a lil green light at the corner when I plug it to charge.

It would have been okay for me to set all three screens back to their original configuration but unfortunately, I can't edit the main homescreen. I can edit the two additional screens but NOT the main (1st) homescreen. It just says homescreen is full! Last thing I installed was the Xmas theme Rugge from the Nokia store.

I wonder what exactly it changed in the camera firmware? Hopefully improved things or bug fixes.I will test a few videos and see if the bitrate has changed or not.
View 8 Replies View RelatedYesterday I set up voice commands on my S6 under Google/Google Now. Under settings there was an opportunity to select whether you want the voice recognition just from within Google or "from any screen". I opted for "from any screen"had the "from any screen". Today no matter what I do it is just not available - the ONLY option shown is from within Google. The 'voice training' is gone, option for any screen is gone and I cannot get it back no matter what I tried.
I have tried it with TouchWiz, Nova launcher and Google Now launcher - same problem. I have tried English (US) English (Canada) and English (UK) as default language all to no avail.
Yesterday when it was "working" I definitely saw that the function was sporadic, sometimes worked, sometimes not. But now I can't even select that option.
I certainly didn't change anything today - but after booting up as I usually do every morning, I am FINALLY getting email notification & my email is being pushed to my phone when it is sleeping !! This issue has been going on (for me) for over a month.

If I take the card and put it back in, it says it recognizes that I've inserted a card and prompts me too restate. After restart I get the same message saying there is no SIM card. View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought a nexus yesterday and have been unable to register it with the American samsung site (no options for us canadians there) not to mention the fact that after typing in my serial the site says my handset was manufactured 1/31/1993!
On the canadian site which i have all my other samsung products registered, there is no listing for my model number (GT-I9250TSDTLS (this is whats on the box, phone menu just lists my model as Samsung Galaxy Nexus, though the label under that battery shows GT-I9250M as the model number..how am I supposed to register my phone?[URL]..shows that galaxy owners can get a free copy of angry birds space... how do I get that?
Today I woke up and it said a photo sharing cable was plugged in and there was nothing plugged into it. So I restarted my phone and then it wouldn't keep any app open for more than 5 seconds and it would exit out of it and didn't let me use the back button but the left one and the home button still worked. It also keeps saying the dock is connected when it isn't and when I tried charging it it kept not charging after a couple of seconds. Restarted again and this problem continued and then my phone said it was overheating but it wasn't even hot and it would turn off and now every time I turn on the phone within 5 minutes it says it is overheating and shuts down but it is cool as a cucumber.
Also it won't let me charge it because the battery is "too hot" and it's only at 30% so should I take it back to verizon?
