When I call someone, i hear nothing, no connection sounds or ringing sounds during this time they pick up their phone and say "hi" again i cant hear anything, they can hear me clearly.... so i put it on speakerphone and i can hear them fine and they hear me..... so i switch speakerphone off and i can hear fine thru phones earphone speaker as normal.... why....

Experiencing static or hissing sound over speakerphone and headphones? This is improved by turning Audio Effects OFF, but not eliminated. I also went to the Verizon store and tried out a display Razr M and it had the same problem. This is very noticeable over headphones when listening in a quiet room. The behavior is independent of audio source, headphone type and speaker vs. headphone jack.
View 15 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to talk on speakerphone, people tell me they can barely hear me. Sometimes my voice is clear, other times it sounds like I am muffled or far away. A phone case is not in the way, nor is the microphone clogged. The phone has done this since I bought it 5 months ago.
I am able to use the voice recorder and can be heard fine.Samsung told me to do a complete reinstall of the phone. I do not want to back everything up and risk losing data as I have syncing issues with my mac.
My problem is that when I get a call or do a call while the wifi is on, I cannot hear anything from the phone even if I put it in speaker. I've changed my both sims and tried another operators sims, the same happended. I've updated the software and do PCC and still the same problem. Also, the network bars drops for around five secounds from time to time for both sims.

All of a sudden, in the middle of a call, the other person could not hear me. It was not accidentally switched to speaker (I checked). After trying to call back a few times, I figured out it would work on speaker. I found a thread where someone said they took a pin and cleaned out the small mic, and that worked for them. Having no pin, I tried a paperclip ... and it seemed to work ... for a couple minutes. Now its back to speaker only! Also ... I now notice that when I try and use voice Google ... The phone does not hear my voice. This phone is only about 6 or 7 weeks old.
