Everytime after i get a chat app notification, after the default notification sound I hear a certain pop following it... With headphones I don't hear this.
Also happens when WhatsApp audios are played....
This has been bugging me ever since I got the phone. I can't seem to hear messenger notifications no matter how loud i have the phone set to. I've downloaded the app "disable increasing ring" but that doesn't seem to work.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI just got my MXPE yesterday, and ever since I activated it I'm constantly recieving a notification that I have a voicemail. Every hour my phone will go off telling me I have a new one, but when I access my voicemail there are no messages. I'm on Sprint, and I've called their support and they've walked me through everything from resetting my voicemail to reprogramming the Sprint code in the phone, but it still won't go away.

I typically end a call to find important txt and email messages waiting for me in the notification bar. This is a feature that I have had on every non-android phone. My emails and sms apps are set to Priority. Call and message interruptions are turned on.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOne of the reasons the speakers sounded good was the global settings for sound environments and EQ for headphone jack and speakers. Makes no sense for an update that makes the sound less on this device. PowerAmp has EQ settings, but this does not work for other apps or videos. Not having the global settings is a negative.
The settings for some reason are now located in the Play Music app. It is the same settings and appears to still be global. If it were linked to the Play Music app, I should not be able to mess with settings when the Play Music app is disabled, but I can. I created a shortcut to the Audio Effects with QuickShortcut (handy app!).
Audio Effects are accessible with the QuickShortcut app, so no need for the Play Music app.
Upgraded from my 2013 Moto X. I use the cast screen feature to play music onto my Samsung smart TVs. Same internet access (UVerse). Never had an issue with screen lagging or sound skipping, even when using the 2013 Moto X for other activities while music is playing. With the new XPE it's horrible, even when it's just sitting on my desk. Is my WiFi direct not set up properly? I also feel my Google drive and Yahoo email app are incredibly slow now. I don't want to return this otherwise great phone, but it's not performing how I thought it would.
View 5 Replies View RelatedInstalled the OTA update earlier and now I have a speaker volume problem. The volume level is turned up but the sound fades away after a couple seconds. On a video if I paused it and then hit play again the volume would go back up and then fade. Navigation did this each time a direction was given. Bluetooth speaker and wired headphones did not have the problem.

Since I couldn't connect to a WiFi where I was, I decided to switch to my cellular data. But as soon as I did that the notification disappeared. I tried finding it on my phone settings, where you go to settings-->about phone-->system updates. It says my device it upto date. How can I retrieve the notification? I was waiting for my android OS update for a month and then this happened.

I use a stock sound (knock) for all notifications but at what seems like random intervals it will switch on its own to "Pure Tone"...a sound which isn't even an option for me to choose as a notification sound.
"Pure Tone" continues to play until the offending notification is acknowledged. What is causing this to reset and how do I make it stop?
I am not getting sound notification for SMS on hangout or any other app I have tried. This just started recently. I have checked settings and can't find why.

I installed the update the Hangout today and ever since all my SMS messages vibrate in addition to my selected notification sound.
I have tried everything to turn this off. All the "Vibrate" check boxes are cleared and still it vibrates.
It does not vibrate for Hangouts messages only SMS. Yes, I know there is a separate setting for each message type. All of them have Vibrate unchecked.
I even tries restarting the phone, but that did not work.
After finally convincing my new Style to sync with my BES service (had to sync with a NEXTEL device twice before the BES server caught a clue), the Desktop mail account chimes with Sanguine Remix when new messages arrive, at the default volume of the selected profile. I've tried changing the playback sound for all obvious notifications in the selected Profile away from Sanguine Remix and the sound played back as Sanguine Remix isn't associated any longer to any of the Profile's options.Any ideas where the sound notification can be changed for the Desktop (BES synched) account? Right now I have to mute all ringers (Silent sound Profile) in order for it not interrupt my sleep. I get hundreds of alerts every day and even with Exchange rules marking messages as read and moving them to a specific folder other than the inbox, BES is catching a small percentage before Exchange marks them as read, and doing what BES does best, forwarding the messages to my phone.
Neither my hotmail nor gmail accounts have this problem since they have an option in profiles and I have configured them to remain quiet.Under Messages-Notifiers for selected Profile:Email: gmailEmail: hotmail Level 1PINtext MessagesVisual voice mail I am going to try Phone Calls Only and edit It to include Text Messages. Some programs use the default notification sound that's in then native sound setup. I have created a "silent" mp3 for this so that it won't play an audible sound. However; this setting keeps reverting back to a default sound....something like an old phone ring or something. I can't even find this sound in the default sound files on the phone. It also plays when I plug the usb in my computer.why this file keeps playing and how to make the custom mp3 stay active?

View 8 Replies View Related I have one day left before I can return this phone and I just discovered that it does not even see my bit30 nes controller or my sharkk Bluetooth speaker. I have used these devices countless times on my OG X and my nexus 10 (both on 5.1.1) without issue. I have a nexus player and it sees that fine (haven't had a chance to try to connect it yet).
I did some research and all I can find to try is to put it in safe mode and try pairing. It still doesn't see either.Is there anything else I can try? If I can't get this resolved by tomorrow, I am sending it back permanently because I don't want to play risky games with the replacement they will send me.

No matter which Android device we get, as soon as it boots up we immediately jump into the hidden Developer options and speed up the animations. This will make the entire phone feel so much more responsive and snappy.
Here’s how you do it:
Jump into your Settings app
Scroll down to the bottom and select About phone
Scroll to the bottom and press Build number 7 times
Press back button and select new Developer options at the bottom of Settings
Find window animation scale, transition animation scale, animator duration scale and select .5x for each"
I have since disabled the developer's option but it still will not recognise any bt devices..
I'm running Nova launcher and have checked those settings as well as the X's settings and can't find out how to get rid of the vibration when sliding to unlock.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've just got a Moto X Style and mostly love it (especially coming from my ancient Galaxy S3 which was slowwwww at opening apps)
One problem I'm having though is the seeming inability to turn on or off vibration when I get notifications. I used to use my phone in one of three ways:
1) Outdoors - Ringers/notifications on full volume, plus vibration
2) Indoors - Ringers/notifications quieter, no vibration
3) Bedtime - Ringers on but quiet, notifications silent, no vibration
I can't seem to get anything close to this. Even when I've gone into individual apps and turned off the vibration setting, it still vibrates! And this motor is almost as loud as the sounds!
When I get a new message from WhatsApp it doesn't notify on the top bar, it appears just the icon for this app. If this icon is already there, it doesn't change anything if I've received a new message, (I've to check pulling down the bar to see if I received new messages and who has sent it). My older cellphone used to show the message "Message from..." for like a few seconds, so I could see instantaneously when I'd got new messages.
