Apr 18, 2012Hi I have a problem with my iphone 4S, whilst using facetime I can hear the other person but they cant hear me. visual stuff is fine. the volume buttons (on side) are to max, the phone isnt on silent, i am not clicking the mute button on screen... loudspeaker works during normal calls.... tried hard resets etc, phone is updated, still no luck?

May 10, 2012after updating my iphone to ios 5.1.1, i no longer have sound. i have checked to make sure the sound options are on, and they are. the side buttons don't even allow me to increase/decrease volume. when i try to play music from my ipod/spotify/Internet etc. there is no sound, and there is no volume bar at the bottom of the screen. i am not sure what to do.

This means no sound at all ringtones/ notifications and even music. The software is completely up to date, all the volume controls are turned all the way up, and it's not muted by switch on the side. Mar 22, 2012Since I updated by iPhone 4S to the newest 5.1 iOS (from 5.01), my sound notifications are doing some funky stuff. For example, when I receive a text message, the sound that I have assigned to my family now does a quick one and then immediate second sound over the first sound. It is hard to explain, but the sound notification for TMs no longer works cleanly. It is almost as if the notification sounds, and then is kind of 'slurred' by a very quick second iteration.

Apr 14, 2012My iphone 4s receives calls but has stopped ringing, hence I keep missing calls. I have checked my settings, the volume is up and it is not set to silent. I have always had the settings so that it rings and vibrates together, itrs just stopped ringing.
I have been back through ring tones and clicked on it and it sounds, the speaker works also. It would seem all announcement tones have stopped announcing be it text, call, message etc etc.
Its doing my nut in as I I am missing lots of important calls and am finding I spending a lot of my time checking my phone for missed calls.
