This means no sound at all ringtones/ notifications and even music. The software is completely up to date, all the volume controls are turned all the way up, and it's not muted by switch on the side. I even reset it and that did nothing, what I can do?

Mar 22, 2012Since I updated by iPhone 4S to the newest 5.1 iOS (from 5.01), my sound notifications are doing some funky stuff. For example, when I receive a text message, the sound that I have assigned to my family now does a quick one and then immediate second sound over the first sound. It is hard to explain, but the sound notification for TMs no longer works cleanly. It is almost as if the notification sounds, and then is kind of 'slurred' by a very quick second iteration.

Apr 14, 2012My iphone 4s receives calls but has stopped ringing, hence I keep missing calls. I have checked my settings, the volume is up and it is not set to silent. I have always had the settings so that it rings and vibrates together, itrs just stopped ringing.
I have been back through ring tones and clicked on it and it sounds, the speaker works also. It would seem all announcement tones have stopped announcing be it text, call, message etc etc.
Its doing my nut in as I I am missing lots of important calls and am finding I spending a lot of my time checking my phone for missed calls.

Whenever I try to change the sound notification on my phone it takes it back to default. It does it both on the app itself and in the app manager. Is this a bug with the phone or the app itself? I am assuming it's a bug with the app itself as all of the other notifications are allowing me to change the sound.

I have Android version 5.0. I have tried to use Smart connect but that doesn't work at all. For example I have set it up to start Spotify automatically when the headphones are plugged in, and also set the volume to normal, but when I plug in mye headphones nothing happens....

Jul 16, 2015When I set reminders on my Z2 through the Keep app or Evernote, it alerts me via vibrate. This is problematic when I am far enough away from my phone that I don't hear the vibration or I'm in a loud place. I would really like it if I was alerted via a notification tone, but I can't seem to find the setting necessary to change that. In fact, I can't seem to change the notification specifics for any of my apps, besides having them on or off. The phone is not in silent mode, the sound is all the way up.

I have gone through all of the banner checks, setting everything to "default sound", and consistently having to reset this stupid phone to get the sound to work for only a couple of days, before it goes away again, and I have to go through the process again ...

When I get a text or other alert I DO want to both see a notification AND hear my chirp. No matter how I set it up in settings it seems as though I always get the visual notification (that's good) , but I either get sounds for everything or no sounds for everything. I have gone into email settings and changed it to silent, but it still plays the ringtone. If I change the ringtone for email notification, it changes and plays the one I select, except if I change it to silent, it plays the "Bells" ringtone, which I think is the default. I have tried turning the phone off and on, but it still rings. I am using the stock email app with 2 pop accounts and a Yahoo account, and it plays the ringtone for all of them.
