I am wanting to talk to anyone that uses twitter on their phone. I got my Samsung galaxy s6 today and so far this is the only bug I have noticed. Whenever I try to change the sound notification on my phone it takes it back to default. It does it both on the app itself and in the app manager. Is this a bug with the phone or the app itself? I am assuming it's a bug with the app itself as all of the other notifications are allowing me to change the sound.
So for some reason when I try to set up notifications within Twitter's own app, it always gives me an error that it is unable to save my settings. The notifications work fine on my M8 but I've never been able to get them working on my S6 nor was I able to do so on my Note 4. Is that a Samsung issue? I end up missing important info sometimes just because I don't get notified.
I have been having an issue with my twitter push notifications that is pretty maddening. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. For instance they always show in the twitter app when I get a new notification BUT the notification sound does not go off and it does not show in the phones notification bar like it used to (which is the most important part IMO). It does seem to work when certain people at me or DM me. Others it just does what I described above. I've tried revoking access, uninstall/reinstall, I have even tried resetting to the phone to factory settings.
Every time I try to change the notification sound for Twitter it goes right back to the phone default notification sound. I have had this problem since the day I got the Galaxy S6.
Is it only possible to use one sound for all notifications? I thought I'd be able to set different sounds for email, text, calendar. I also use BT Fon app for wifi and this uses the same as all the rest.
I've set tone for email in email settings but now that gets played as well as the tone that's set for notifications in settings>sound>notification ringtone, when I only need one alert.
I use my phone for business, I need to be able to tell when a text comes in for a customer, right now every notification that comes in, is the same sound. when I go to sound settings, it lets me change the sound, but it is still the SAME for texts and notifications I need to tell texts from everything else.
how to turn off the notification sound when I get a new email. I can't seem to figure it out. I do not want to turn off my ringer or text though. I just get a ton of spam emails at all hours of the day.
New s6 edge+ and having trouble setting it up the way I want. When I get an e-mail (Yahoo! or Gmail) I want to see it up top on the notification line. I don't want to hear any sounds. When I get a text or other alert I DO want to both see a notification AND hear my chirp. No matter how I set it up in settings it seems as though I always get the visual notification (that's good) , but I either get sounds for everything or no sounds for everything. I can't split the sounds for just texts and alerts and no sound for email.
I get NO notifications or "tweet" sounds since installing 5.0, I uninstalled & Reinstalled Twitter for BB, it is NOT a profile problem as I have all twitter notifications are checked & work when "tried".
The official Twitter app is perfect aside from it's lack of push notifications for DM & Mentions. Does anyone know of a good Twitter app that includes push?
I have a problem with my twitter notifications, this just happens with the twitter notifications, not with other notifications.Although I select any ringtone, when it's a twitter notification it doesn't ring! (it doesn't sound!)I did a default restore and I repaired my phone with Sony Companion.
even though I set it on settings for my notifications to go off when I get a new mention or a message on twitte rmy notifications never go off and it did on my iPod 4G so I'm wondering why it isn't working for my iPhone 4
my torch wont alert me when i have a mention on twitter, when i go into sounds in my profile facebook is listed but twitter isnt. how do i make it sound?
I have a Galaxy S5 and would like to be able to stop the notification of receiving an e-mail without stopping the notification of text messages. Is there a way to differentiate? I was able to do this on older phones.
I have certain apps "i.e. quick change keyboards", I like to have the notifications for it shown on my notification screen, but I do not want to see it on my lock screen. Other apps I DO want to see on the lock screen.
Okay I just got my iPhone 5c a week and ago and it was working great, but all of sudden today my phone sound stopped working. This means no sound at all ringtones/ notifications and even music. The software is completely up to date, all the volume controls are turned all the way up, and it's not muted by switch on the side. I even reset it and that did nothing, what I can do?
Sometimes I receive Twitter notifications not just appearing in the notification bar but also as a pop-up over the top of what I'm looking at the time. It get's annoying after a while. Is there any way to stop the pop-up notifications from appearing? I still want to receive Twitter notifications via the notification bar.
I have Twitter downloaded and when I go to to settings and accounts it shows that I'm signed in. But when I go to my contacts settings and accounts it's not there. Facebook, Skype and LinkedIn are there but not Twitter. I want to be able to link my contacts to their Twitter accounts.
For the last 2 days I have been getting a notification sound (that I've never heard before) when I get a new email and it continues to go off until I actually open my email. I have checked every setting I can think of and no luck.
At work I use headphones, and I want phone calls etc. to call with sound only in my headphones, and call silent when headphones are disconnected. As it is now it rings from the speakers of the phone, even if headphones are connected.
I have Android version 5.0. I have tried to use Smart connect but that doesn't work at all. For example I have set it up to start Spotify automatically when the headphones are plugged in, and also set the volume to normal, but when I plug in mye headphones nothing happens....
When I set reminders on my Z2 through the Keep app or Evernote, it alerts me via vibrate. This is problematic when I am far enough away from my phone that I don't hear the vibration or I'm in a loud place. I would really like it if I was alerted via a notification tone, but I can't seem to find the setting necessary to change that. In fact, I can't seem to change the notification specifics for any of my apps, besides having them on or off. The phone is not in silent mode, the sound is all the way up.
When picking a ringtone or notification, I used to get a few options that popped up.
Sound Picker, Zedge etc.
But the last time I changed a notification sound I mistakenly hit the Always button after picking Sound Picker and now all that I can pick from is Sound Picker.
