I have a problem with my twitter notifications, this just happens with the twitter notifications, not with other notifications.Although I select any ringtone, when it's a twitter notification it doesn't ring! (it doesn't sound!)I did a default restore and I repaired my phone with Sony Companion.

Also I cannot hear sound when I am trying to play music.The ringer volume is high but still cannot hear anything. I tried doing a factory reset, but this did not solve my problem.

The notifications work fine on my M8 but I've never been able to get them working on my S6 nor was I able to do so on my Note 4. Is that a Samsung issue? Whenever I try to change the sound notification on my phone it takes it back to default. It does it both on the app itself and in the app manager. Is this a bug with the phone or the app itself? I am assuming it's a bug with the app itself as all of the other notifications are allowing me to change the sound.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been having an issue with my twitter push notifications that is pretty maddening. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. For instance they always show in the twitter app when I get a new notification BUT the notification sound does not go off and it does not show in the phones notification bar like it used to (which is the most important part IMO). It does seem to work when certain people at me or DM me. Others it just does what I described above. I've tried revoking access, uninstall/reinstall, I have even tried resetting to the phone to factory settings.

since getting a second hand X10 mini pro a few days ago I have found many answers to the queries I had with the phone. I have it working very well now.
However, despite turning off all the email notifications in preferences (and saving) and getting the green box message that all preferences have been saved, I am still getting notifications of all threads in this section in my email inbox (and some in the spam box).
I've just updated my phone - full of anticipation - to ICS.But unfortunately there are two really major problems with the upgrade.The lock screen notifications are gone!!! This was the SO convenient in GB ...The led notification doesn't work when the screen is off (for sms).

I've looked in settings on the phone, but it looks like an "all or nothing" thing. I'd like to be able to receive audible notification sounds for my emails and texts, just not my Twitter client, which is TweetCaster. I can live with the the little blue bird at the top with the red numbers, but not the sound every time a Tweet comes in. I would like to silence this applications, without it affecting my phone calls, texts and emails.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use the Calendar application often. I set up reminders for tasks. When the task is scheduled, a reminder pops up, and the phone rings. Is there a way to make this ringing repeat (say, every 5 minutes) until I dismiss the reminder? The reason is, if I go out and the phone rings while I'm out, there is no visible indication that something happened while I was away. The screen is blank and the LED is not flashing. So I have to activate the phone and manually check whether there were notifications while I was gone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just recently got my xperia x10 and had to almost immediately upgrade to the 2.1 system. I am noticing a few things that I'm not fussy about from the 1.6 system but the thing that is bugging me the most is that I cannot (figure out how to) link contacts in my phonebook to their facebook and twitter accounts. In 1.6, when you edited a contact it gave you the option to click LINK. I cannot find any of this on the new system. As well, for contacts that I had linked before, their facebook profile pic (current from the time when i linked them before upgrading to 2.1) shows up on their contact information (i usually only link facebook, as i dont use twitter as much) and their profile is linked. However when i go into EDIT, it says FACEBOOK, Timescape and a big exclamation mark that has a message beside it saying : Timescape Plug-In Manager contact information is not editable on this device.
i SHOULD be able to edit and link all my contacts. that was the whole purpose of the xperia having this timescape program.
Is it possible to add other social sites to Timescape besides Twitter and Facebook

When someone calls me, my phone rings once and then there is a long delay before it rings again. My daughter has the Bold and she uses the same ringtone and doesn't have this problem. I have Sprint and she has AT&T if that matters. Thank you for any help you can give me.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy X10 does not ring on incoming calls for the last week. I also found that when I checked the ringer volume it sometimes is on silent without me having adjusted it. But even with ringer volume on full it still does not ring. Text & notification alerts are fine...its aaudible...only incoming call dont ring. I`ve done a repair/reload of Android 2.1 & it worked for only a few hours.Should I just go get another one?
