Nokia :: E71 / Firmware Update / Incompatible Non Genuine Software
Jun 8, 2010I have an E71 on Orange and wish to update to the latest Firmware. When I go to Ovi it tells me that new software is available and I go through the process of backing up data and readying the phone to load the update, then it tells me that there is a non genuine software/product which is incompatible and then stops.I have no idea what the problem is and I have been able to do updates before.

Apr 13, 2011After installing the Twitter update, my phone had been trying to reboot for over 30 minutes. It just keeps trying to boot up, and then stops and starts again. I am panicking! Did I just kill my phone by upgrading one of my apps? I took the battery and SIM card out for a while and nothing. My worst fear is that my phone is dead because I wanted to tweet which is ridiculous and now I'm gonna lose everything I have stored on it (pics, games, etc.).

Apr 30, 2015So for some reason when I try to set up notifications within Twitter's own app, it always gives me an error that it is unable to save my settings. The notifications work fine on my M8 but I've never been able to get them working on my S6 nor was I able to do so on my Note 4. Is that a Samsung issue? I end up missing important info sometimes just because I don't get notified.

May 18, 2015I am wanting to talk to anyone that uses twitter on their phone. I got my Samsung galaxy s6 today and so far this is the only bug I have noticed. Whenever I try to change the sound notification on my phone it takes it back to default. It does it both on the app itself and in the app manager. Is this a bug with the phone or the app itself? I am assuming it's a bug with the app itself as all of the other notifications are allowing me to change the sound.

Sep 20, 2011It seems every time a contact on my twitter account changes its profile picture, Motoblur simply do not show it anymore neither on the widget or the Motoblur app that the widget calls. In place of the precedent picture I then get the gray generic anonymous shadow. I'm not sure it is froyo related, but it sure started after the upgrade. I can imagine the issue coming from the Blur service on the servers and not from the phone itself.

Jun 22, 2015I have been having an issue with my twitter push notifications that is pretty maddening. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. For instance they always show in the twitter app when I get a new notification BUT the notification sound does not go off and it does not show in the phones notification bar like it used to (which is the most important part IMO). It does seem to work when certain people at me or DM me. Others it just does what I described above. I've tried revoking access, uninstall/reinstall, I have even tried resetting to the phone to factory settings.

Feb 9, 2015I've had my Samsung Galaxy S5 (verizon) for about two months. I just ran into a problem where many of the icons are missing when I bring up twitter. For example, when I'm at my home page, if I look at the menu bar near the top of the page, I see the words ""Home", "Connect", "Discover", "Me", but the icons above each command are missing. Also, the avis in my feed are missing.
If I click on a specific tweet, then the poster's avi does appear, but the icons for retweet, reply, favorite, etc. are completely missing. However, if I touch the screen where they should be located, the commands do work.
Rebooting the phone (off/on) did not work. And this is not affecting any other apps that I have noticed.

Jun 25, 2010I wonder why my bluetooth motorola HT820 cannot receive my N900 music smoothly when i play the music via media player? the music seems like play discontinuously(like get hanged).. then i play movie..whole N900 hang there.. after that i try make call..the bluetooth receive and answer call flawlessly..what happened to the music part?
will any application bug cause this to happen? the bluetooth profile is A2DP, HFP and HSP.. sometime the bluetooth can receive the music smoothly but the music quality became very poor.. i dont suspect on bluetooth because i try to connect it to Satio, NK 5610, N82, W995, K800i and T650i..seems like every phone provide very good quality music to the bluetooth..just my N900..hmmm.. how come like that? i suspect is bug cause it? possible sifu? because there is lot bug in my music player which make all different album song turn into single album art..i search google before.. some guy use HT820 to listen music from N900 without any interuption..

May 31, 2010i did a factory reset after installing the new firmware & all of a sudden the device seems to act a lot faster and better. It had issues after the update, but i formatted the whole device (first the memory card, second the mass memory, and third the c: ) and it seems to be workin a lot better. However, the inbuilt themes look dull. I went to www.mibile9.com and downloaded a couple of s60v5 themes. While installing, i get a warning, 'application is incompatible with this device. Continue anyway?' would it be safe to install these? I know they're not viruses because a friend installed them on his 5800XM with no problems. I'm wonderin if installing an 'incompatible' theme would make my N97 suck again. I've got another question. As far as i know, the 5800XM and the N97 use the same OS. The themes installed fine on my friend's XM, with no warnings (other than application is untrusted). Why am i receivin the incompatible warning on the N97 then? Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and the world laughs louder :-)
