View 2 RepliesFirst time it happened my phone was locked sitting in my lap, nothing lite up just made the sound, 15-20min later I plugged it in to charge and it made the sound again. Nothing ever comes up in notifications just bluooop sound! It has also happened while I have been using my iPhone, while in iMessage and other apps! I have checked every app on my iPhone and sound setting I can think of and can't figure out were it is coming from or why!!
View 14 Replies View RelatedFor the last few days, my iPhone 4S has been making a sound that's like a droplet of water falling into a sink. It's at random times, and it's not a notification for anything (and isn't even an option in my sounds menu).

Anyone else have the issues of calls dropping as they are placed and/or "Cannot Connect to the Cellular Data service" when you try open email or Safari?

Every single connection drops (3G, Wi-Fi and USB. Haven't tested NFC yet) at random times and I can't reconnect. It always says after that it can't connect and the connections are unavailable. After turning the phone off and then on again, everything is back to normal. I can normally connect to the 3G connection, Wi-Fi and USB.It's pretty annoying as I always have to restart my phone in order to connect via USB or to the Internet when it happens.Edit: I've found in this thread the same issue on Nokia 701 as well, so I guess it's more like a Symbian Belle problem.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have recently been configuring all the sounds on my phone so that when I am asleep in bed I am not woken up by various vibrations or notification sounds. With this in mind, I also wanted to ensure that if I was called up in case of an emergency then I would still hear my phone ringing.Because of this, I don't want to mute my phone or have to remember to change settings each night (which is annoying on it's own!) So, I now have everything working as I would like with the exception of new mail. I have set the sound to none - which I am sure used to work. As previously this stops the vibration however now, it still makes the 'ding' when new mail comes in. Surely if I set the 'New Mail' sound to 'none', then this is what should happen. So, what am I missing? There doesn't appear to be a setting in the notification section for muting the notification sound. I am using an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 5c makes a sound like the plastic is cracking. This only noticeably happens in the top right corner. The screen also felt loose a little in the top right corner. Therefore I took it to the shop yesterday for both problems, and they replaced the handset. The screen now looks fine but the noise is still there.Â

My iphone 4 has been dropping calls from my office for the last 3 weeks. I have a signal booster and the signal always shows 4 or 5 bars, even when it drops the call. No one else has this issue and my provider has told me that both towers in the area are working good. When it drops the signal often i will hear a noise that sounds like the camera shutter (click) then it kicks me out to the lock screen.

Can I change it to make a different sound? It is embarassing when I am playing a game on the toilette and then turn my phone off and it makes a camera click sound!

I just recently updated my Samsung Galaxy s5 from 4.4.2 to 5.1.1, and I'm loving all the new features. However, what is the dropdown notifications that appear at the top of your screen. So far, I've only seen this happen for Twitter notifications, but I wish it happened with everything. Does this only work with certain apps? Is there a list of these apps? Is it some setting I'm missing? (Attached is an example image I found on Google)

If I have everything going like normal, there are 5 notifications that I cannon clear off that take up the entire drop down. Makes everything look cluttered.Cable charging, connected as media deice, power save on, 1 device connected for tether, and then the select keyboard. I am rooted, and if it matters, the phone is an ATT G920A.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOver the past couple of days, my phone (iphone 4) has been random vibrating and/or making various sounds. When this happens, there are no notifications. It will just sound or buzz for what seems to be no reason. Most of the time, my applications are not on. I have push on for my mail application, but that's it. The phone is in good condition, it's never been dropped or damaged in any way.

I dropped my Iphone in the sink for about 2 seconds, then took it out and dried it off. It all worked fine but a few minutes later the screen went black. I put it in rice for about 2 and a half days, and the sound and touch works (I can even unlock it and answer the phone), but I see not a thing on the screen. It's plain black. I still have it in the rice, but is there anything i can do to save it?

When playing music, and opening the camera app, or any app that would create a sound (like a new message incoming), the music player stops. Is this normal?
Its really annoying when listening to music on headphones, and the music stops/pauses for any sound that might occur.
I have an AT&T Galaxy S6 Edge on 5.1.1.
A couple of weeks ago I slept through my alarm, at least that's what I thought had happened. When I woke up some time later, there was a notification that I had missed an alarm. It seemed strange, since I've never not been woken by the sound of an alarm before.
The alarm worked fine for the six months before that, and has been working fine for the last few weeks.
Today I was awake before my alarm went off. I then watched my phone screen light up with the alarm, but no sound. I turned off the alarm and waited for my backup alarm. Same thing - no sound.
I did not have Do Not Disturb mode turned on. I almost always keep my phone on silent, and the alarm has always worked. I'm using the default Samsung clock/alarm app.
If it's as simple as using a different alarm app, that's an easy fix, although it doesn't leave me with much faith in Samsung. My concern is that it's a system issue. Unfortunately since it seems to be a sporadic issue, testing the alarm isn't going to tell me definitively if I've been able to fix the issue. Unless I can identify exactly what is causing the problem, I'm going to have to buy a dedicated alarm clock because I can't risk missing an alarm again.
Just bought the Bold 9700 on Thursday and was busy setting it up over the weekend. When I actually had my kids call the phone to make sure I had set up the ringtones, LED, and vibrations correctly I noticed that everytime someone was talking the speaker will vibrate with the voice coming from the speaker. Doesn't do it when you have it on speakerphone - there is not vibration noise from the voicemail voice or from anyone's voice, but if you have the actual phone up to your ear using it normally, the speaker makes a vibration sound/noise when the person calling you talks. Even when I place the call to them and they talk I still get that vibration noise. I have also tried lowering the volume, but the vibration is still there even though the voice is not very loud. Is this normal for this phone? Or is this a faulty phone that I should get replaced? I had a Bold 9000 and never got that vibration when someone was talking to me on that phone. But I thought I would see if anyone had heard of this problem and might think it is just the particular phone I got and not all Bold 9700s.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm on my 3rd new Torch & this latest one rattles when I'm on a phone call. It sounds like when someone has the volume too high & the person on the other end is shouting but I don't have the volume very high at all & can still hear the noise. It doesn't sound this way on speakerphone, only when I hold the phone to my ear.
