For the last few days, my iPhone 4S has been making a sound that's like a droplet of water falling into a sink. It's at random times, and it's not a notification for anything (and isn't even an option in my sounds menu).

I have just got a new N8 (as I damaged my old one), and every 10 minutes it makes a noise, like something dropping in water. I have no apps or anything open, no messages etc so I've no idea why its making this noise?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFirst time it happened my phone was locked sitting in my lap, nothing lite up just made the sound, 15-20min later I plugged it in to charge and it made the sound again. Nothing ever comes up in notifications just bluooop sound! It has also happened while I have been using my iPhone, while in iMessage and other apps! I have checked every app on my iPhone and sound setting I can think of and can't figure out were it is coming from or why!!
View 14 Replies View RelatedI dropped my Iphone in the sink for about 2 seconds, then took it out and dried it off. It all worked fine but a few minutes later the screen went black. I put it in rice for about 2 and a half days, and the sound and touch works (I can even unlock it and answer the phone), but I see not a thing on the screen. It's plain black. I still have it in the rice, but is there anything i can do to save it?

My phone has been acting really strange recently (multiple apps shutting down, long app loading time, extremely bad battery life-- almost 20% decrease with 2 hour use) So I visited apple store today and they told me that all of the symptoms were due to water damage of my phone.
And water damage was least of my suspections. Okay so my phone has been near water, but never in it. I take my phone to the shower sometimes for music and that's the closest my phone got to water. The apple store showed me how the supposed to be white sticker inside the charging jack turned red and they told me that my warranty is now void.
They also told me that I need to pay $200 if I want a replacement and that there is nothing they can do when I told them that this phone has never been in water or suffered water related accidents.
I asked them if there was only one water damage indicator in a iphone. The person told me that there were four, two on the outside and two in the inside. He opened up my phone and told me that only one water damage indicator (external one) but they only need one indicator to turn red to void my warranty.
When I repeatedly told him that I never had my iphone near water he told me that it only takes one drop of water to trigger the indicator and that it could be anything like a raindrop. I think this is absurd.

As we all Active users know our dear water resistant phone has one problem. The sound of speaker dims down drastically after exposing to water. And the reason for this is this membrane on the back cover, cuz when you remove the back cover the sound becomes normal.But ofcourse im not doing it yet, cuz i don't know what's the real purpose of that rubber, cuz the water gets in between both covers anyway. Maybe its something against pressure i don't know. Maybe someone knows the purpose of this rubber, or maybe someone has tried to remove it and can share their experience.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI cannot figure out what the little sound this phone is making all the time, haven't worked out the pattern yet. But it is really annoying as I can't seem to turn it off. I have tried numerous sound profile app, nothing works.
Also everything is untick in sound profile under 'system' but It still makes a noise when I unlock the phone.
It is a system sound because it is not the notification sound I have set in the sound profile. Even when I set it to silent, it still makes the noise.
I'm seriously thinking of switching back to the One X.
I am on the second c5-03, the first was replaced due to a speaker problem (not working)Now, on random moments there is no sound in microphone.i receive a call and i cant hear anything but the caller can hear me very good. View 8 Replies View RelatedIn my LG G3, when I want to make correction to the text that I have typed, I see a "droplet" icon near the character I want to change. This is the icon that is used to drag and place the cursor somewhere else. (I do not know the correct technical term for this draggable icon.)
The problem is that I cannot touch and drag this droplet icon. Usually this icon is rectangle in shape, but I see it as a droplet icon. Initally it was a rectangle icon. I accidently pressed some key which changed the cursor to "droplet" shape.
Experienced crackling sound from the phone when it is just sitting there? My Atrix has a recurring crackle from the speakers at random times. This occurs when it is sitting idle. I don't have any trouble when actually using the phone.

I called Bell and they had me wipe my phone and that didn't do anything, so I upgraded the software which also did nothing.
With Wi-Fi off and opening the native iPhone map app there is always a pop up message saying GPS accuracy improves with Wi-Fi on and has a button to go right to settings to turn it on. Okay, I know GPS accuracy is improved while connected to Wi-Fi, but is it improved even when not connected but turned on?Thinking maybe just having Wi-Fi on searching and locating connections may pinpoint your location relative to Wi-Fi routers and/or hot spots along your route and help with positioning and tracking. I know this would kill the battery but am neurotic enough about my GPS tracking apps to do it anyway.My experiments with this are inclusive. May seem like a silly question but like I said I'm neurotic about my GPS accuracy. So, does anyone know for sure one way or the other?

I have had my iPhone 5s for about half a year now. I take A LOT of photos especially with the "chrome" effect on, and until now, it worked just fine.
But I have noticed very recently that even when I take a photo with the effect, when I actually click on the photo in my album, the effect would go away; so it would appear that the photo was taken just with the original camera.
And when I send the photo through messages, the effect would not be there either. What's funny is that when I just scroll down the album, the preview of the photo would appear to have that effect.
Plus, when I import the photo through iPhoto, the effect is still there. It's just when I actually click on the photo to view it or send it that the effect suddenly disappears. Why this is happening because it worked perfectly about a few days ago.
Now, all my photos – even the very, very old ones that used to be fine – have become that way. I have tried resetting my phone two times now, and the software is up to date (iOS 7.1.2).

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have an iphone 4 which i dropped into a sink of water i took it out straight away looked at it and it looked fine so i put it on the side. 2 hours later went to get it and the screen had gone blank - i thought it had run out of battery so i plugged it into the charger and tried to turn it on - nothing. I then disconnected it and went online to get advice. I put the phone in a sealed bag of rice for 72 hours in a warm place - in the beginnng their looked like condensation on the camera lense, after 72 hours that had gone. I tried charging the phone but the screen stayed blank, I have taken it to a local shop to see if it can be repaired, Is this very likely? I purchases the phone at O2 and I took out a contract with them for 18 months - it runs out in 5 months. If they phone is unrepairable does anyone know if i can cancel mt contract with O2 and take another one out for 18 months?
