Nokia Lumia :: 800 - Moire Effect When Displaying Dark Text On White Background
Jan 5, 2012I was surfing the web on my Lumia 800! It appears that whenever u get to a webpage (or application) that contains a white background and black text (which is usually the case in most pages!) and u look closely u can notice some moire effects that appears as horizontal white lines next to the text and these lines follows the text even when scrolling!! This is specially notable when u zoom in on a text or place the handset in landscape mode. Also the same moire effect appears but with vertical lines shifting between red and white as u zoom in and out of a picture with a white background! And No I don't have any screen protector (that in some cases can cause this effect) and Yes this is clearly a display issue because of these lines are being followed by my scrolling and not on a specific area on the display!

Jan 2, 2014So I finally updated to Black today and to my surprise the damn yellow tint is still present when using flash indoors.I did one shot before the update with Nokia Pro Cam, and on after the Black update and after updating to Nokia Camera.

no flash after black [this looks most like the real thing] . Notice similar issue with the yellow tint not being fixed after updating to Black?Also forgot to mention, all setting were on auto, on the top two shots, on the no flash one, change from auto flash to no flash.

However when I turned the speaker phone I could hear everything but Im not sure if the other person could hear me because the call ended. Now no sound comes out of my phone speaker. Jan 27, 2012I bought Lumia 800 couple days ago and was very satisfied. But now i have a problem. When i tap on screen on top right corner area screen produces clicking sound. It's not software issue, it seems that display is not mounted properly. It occurs even when phone is powered off. Anybody else having this problem? Should I request a new unit? I didn't bought it from a store but from local reseller so i don't know if he'll be willing to replace it for me. Maybe it's my imagination but it looks like typing on that area is slightly unprecise.
