Nokia Lumia :: How To Disable Confirm Dialog When Deleting Message
Dec 1, 2012
each time I delete a message, I have to confirm. How can I disable that on the Lumia 920?
Also, I spend a long time trying to figure out why my phone did not come with Nokia Music in denmak, after alomost 1 hour searching on the net, I found out that the service do not exist in Denmark... Why not just have the Nokia Music in the App store and just show a message when people try to install it, saying that its not availble in the user's country?
When using Nokia email client via IMAP or POP, I cannot find where I can set it up to leave the message on server while deleting it on the phone: I have got thousands e-mails on server (and coming like hundreds dayly) and I don't want to keep them on the phone after reading them. But I DO need them on the server!
Is there a function in lumia 610 that allows all of the conversations in the threads to be deleted all at a go, instead of one at a time? Also, is it possible to mass select contacts (when you are sms/mms-ing) by just checking the box besides the contacts instead of adding one contact at a time? I just got the phone 4 days ago hence I do not know the functionality very well.
I have Nokia C3-00.I want to know how can i disable the conversation in messages. Its just occupying a lot ot memory bcz I have aroung 3000messages in both inbox and sent items. So,I want to just clear up the conversation folder and keep the rest messages in inbox and conversation.
Is there a way to disable to the 4G in the Nokia Lumia 900 and use the 2G? I had an LG phone with 3G and got better coverage and signal bars on the 2G than I did on the 3G so I kept the phone on 2G. I don't use the internet on my Nokia ... I only use the phone for text messaging and phone calls... My 4G is only showing 2 bars on it's signal and sometimes maybe 3. I will have better signal on the 2G. How do I change the phone to use 2G.. since I do not use the internet/email or other internet services on it.
I have just purchased Lumia 800 and enjoy it very much.I have just one question... how to disable spell checks while composing SMS? I sometimes send SMS with language other than English and every now and then the spell checks just changes the wording. Therefore I really need to disable the spell-check.

I have minimal dataplan and would like to have email on the phone but I would like to restrict the frequency of download of new content. On my old iphone4 I can force it to not refresh unless I open the app. Lumia 920 seems to only have the options:As Items ArriveEvery 15 minEvery 30 minHourlyDailyAs I said, I dont have much of a data plan, only 200mb a month. And would only refresh/sync email when I decide to use the app and not let it run on a set schedule in the background as per synd drop down options.
I've been searching everywhere and can't seem to find an answer to this..What I want to do is keep the bluetooth voice link in my car (all working great btw) but disable the audio so that navigation directions come from the phone speaker. My Nokia N8 did this by default but I cannot seem to find an option in Setting or Drive to prevent the audio from going to Bluetooth.
Frequently, a couple of seconds after ending a call with someone on my 5800, the screen is filled with the message "packet data connection active" for a moment. The message won't go away by clicking on the screen. The only way to force it away is by clicking the red button, but that would also take me away from whatever menu or application I was at, so I'd prefer not to do that. Also, I don't want to change to connectivity settings per se, (as seen in, for example, this topic: [URL]). Rather, is there any way to disable just the message?
Is there anyway to disable the auto switch off of the auto switch off feature of the Internet Sharing on the Lumia 710?The reason I ask, is that I want to set this up as my main Internet connection at home using the Three UK One Plan Unlimited Data plan with the phone linked via Internet Shaing to a range extender which all my family can then connect to but the Internet Sharing keeps switching off after a few minutes of inactivity.
I receive quite a number of e-mails everyday via my blackberry torch and was wondering if there was a way to remove the box that comes up each time that you click on a link within an email, for example it will say 'continue to'..then the link.It just gets rather annoying having to press yes each time I receive a new e-mail.
I got my phone yesterday and thought to download PDF file from internet. Once I downloaded I pressed open it did and after I downloaded another one different one pressed open and I got this message "The document could not be opened because there is a pending dialog in Documents To Go. Please close the dialog and try again". I pressed ok and tried to close the application but it is still open and I can't close it.
I am planning to buy a new smartphone in the new year. So I decided to go for Nokia Lumia series Phones. So I have only two points to confirm. If I buy Lumia 510 or 620. Will they1) alert me instantly if I get a email?2) Alert when some ping me on gtalk or Msn ?) Can I use Lync messenger?
I have the Lumia 710 with OS version 7.10.8773.98. I believe it is updated to the latest. I see that there is still no way to search for text within SMS? The issue is that I have more than 100 SMSes of which some are from service providers whose number is not stored in my contacts obviously. And everytime I need some information from a particular SMS, there is no way to search for it other than scroll through each SMS till I find it. This way, I have accidently deleted important SMSes that I needed.
I heard that it can be deleted automatically when there is little memory space, but I'm keeping an eye on the memory left!
Built-in Media Storage:
otal Free: 61% 3.7 GBTotal Used: 39% 2.5 GBI'm using blackberry for business, so I also receive important SMS. How can they get deleted so conveniently?
I have tried now for several weeks to delete messages on my Facebook app. When I return to the mailbox on facebook, the emails keep coming back. What is the issue that will not allow them to be permenantly deleted and it continues to reload the messages
