Mar 7, 2011Is there a way to have a tone or sound play to Confirm that a text message has been sent on my E73 S60 device? I cannot seem to find how this setting.

Eseries / Communicators :: E72 Text Message Is Sending Icon?
Jan 4, 2012recently I was texting a lot while receiving text messages at the same time. And my phone E72 bugged somehow and the tiny icon when your text messages are being sent out is still there and won't disapear.The icon is just a tiny up arrow with a small bracket under it. The icon won't go away I tried restarting my phone many times its stil there. Now when I send out a text message I don't know when it is done sending because the icon never disapears.

Feb 21, 2011For the last few days (or weeks?) my Nokia E5 has an annoying problem: the text/SMS message tone is not played when receiving SMS. It won't vibrate either.
I tried changing the message tone to Nokia default, but didn't work. I also tried deleting all text messages in my Inbox, but also didn't work. I have restarted my phone numerous times.But unable to solve this problem

Feb 25, 2012I've got a Nokia E6-00. Sending messages and calling works fine. Receiving messages is a problem. When I ask someone to send me a text message, it doesn't come in either until I reboot my phone or until I open "sim messages". I've removed F-secure, rebooted several times and tried other sim cards from other providers. The problem is always present, regardless of simcard, provider or message length. I have enough memory left on the phone and the sim card.

Jul 22, 2010My mum got the Nokia E72 yesterday, and when she recieves a text message it just says "One message recieved".Now, on all her old Nokia's (6600 Slide the last one), once a text message was recieved, it says "One new message", but also the sender beneath this.Is there a way to get the sender's name on the text message notification screen, like mentioned above?

Sep 17, 2011I can see and mark all contacts on my contact list while in "To" when creating a new text message. However the "Ok" button is missing on the left lower corner of the screen while "Back", on the right, is active. I can type in recipients, though this is tedious when I need to select multiple recipients. Further probing brought up another problem - I can see all my contacts on my phone but cannot find the contact folder nor can I backup my contacts.

Aug 18, 2011i installed the latest update 071.004 on e72, now text message doesn't work properly. i have to switch off and on once to recieve the msgs. most of the msgs i send will go n sit in outbox. i have to manually select each one and select send option in outbox to send them. Also found problems with bluetooth. send via bluetooth option doesn't work. it doesn't even search for the the devices available.I am also getting 'memory full-close some applications' error in messaging and also in the browsers.my phone has about 191Mb of free space and mem card(8gb) 5.6gb free.

Jan 4, 2010I have activated predictive text and just wonder if I am using it correctly, when I type a word it shows a suggestion in grey. If I want to accept I simply press space and teh word is filled in for me. However, if I don't want the suggestion what is the best way to continue without the suggestion being applied? At the moment I press backspace to remove the suggestion, then space to continue typing. Is this the only way to not accept the suggested word?

Nokia has made my life miserable within one month. (This was my first Nokia phone ever.) I find no consistency anywhere. Mar 19, 2011I've found I have to restore factory settings every few days because my E7 stops displaying "1 new message" at the bottom of the screen and also suddenly doesn't make a tone when the message arrives. Also, the small envelope icon at the top right doesn't appear. The only way I know I have a new message is if the phone is in standby mode and I see the menu light flashing. Otherwise, I have to open messages or conversations to see if there are any new messages. I have to do this every few days when it suddenly stops showing new message arrival. I've found only restoring factory settings works, which is a pain since it erases all my personal settings.

My E72 can receive and read other sms from other devices, but if the sms is sent from BB 9780, it will say error message: "The message format is not supported".I haven't try to soft or hard reset yet since there're a lot of applications on my E72 and I don't have the time to reinstall and resetting all of them.

Mar 23, 2012I store all my messages on memory card but yesterday suddenly the memory option switched back to phone.I couldn't see my memory card messages on pc suite as I couldn't switch back to memory card option.
I can see pictures and songs stored on memory card.Can even add new but the only problem is I can't swtich back to memory card as far as messages are concerned.
Whether I press yes or no in the option it only gives me the error saying ' Unable to move message storage'.
I don't mind losing messages, but I would like to store the ones from now on on memory card. And if you say it is corrupt, how many maximum number of messages can be stored on phone memory?

Mar 6, 2011Today randomly, when I have a new message, the little icon on the bottom of my home screen doesn't come up! The only thing that I could think of that might affect this is that I recently uninstalled communication but I'm pretty sure the icon was coming up after I uninstalled it.
