I am not able to change the message storage memory from phone memory to memory card. getting into offline mode and then trying to change, did hard reset of the phone memory etc etc..Still i am not able to get through. earlier I used to get message : Server Busy. Now i dont get that message either. It simply refuses to change to Memory card.

How can I determine which application or data is using storage memory? There are no movies, music or other "big" files copied to the phone (as far as I know). The only thing I know is "maps". From my experience with E90 and E71 all available maps need about 8GB space, this should fit to a E7 with 16GB

Ever since I have bought Nokia E7 it had almost full phone memory. I've done many hard resets and after every one the situation is the same. With no applications instaled it had 35 MB of free phone memory. After I install Anna upgrades 1/2 and 2/2 it's memory is reduced to about 5 MB. When I look details in phone manager, it shows me that there is 410 MB of "other files". That is impossible since there are no files on the phone after hard reset. And I can't find those files anywere on the phone.

However, as far as I can tell, there is practically nothing on the phone memory. I have no apps installed, everything I can is set to use the SD card, SD card is the default memory.I have a few emails, but nothing in sent items, or deleted items. There are a couple of hundered contacts, but I can't image that uses much.Viewing details using OVI it tells me 3.8MB of 256MB free.The software version is 054.005, and according to OVI that is the latest.I have seen lots of other threads with the same problem, but have not been able to find any solution in the threads. I bought E7 about a month ago. Previosuly had N95 and LOVED IT but I needed to update. I am having problems with my contacts. All my contacts are saved by sim card. I thoght sim was problem but No. Even with replacement sim, I still get errors as described on subject line above. I am thinking about contacting Nokia and get a replacement. I want to add pictures and ring tones to my various contacts but it is not possible with these errors that I am receiving. I try to add a new contact and phone does not allow it by, once again, providing an error as mentioned above. Some times, phone says that memory is full but yet the phone indicates that there are 150 contact slots still available to be used.

1- I can't change the message memory to memory card. It works for a while, and then an error message pops out, statimg that "memory card not found" and that the phone will revery the message memory to phone memory.
2- The phone memory is almost full. I have 11.4 MB left, and I don't know what's filling the memory. I have 3 apps installed, 1 MB each, besides the default apps. Browsing the memory was of no help: almost all folders are empty. I tried emptying the browser's cache, but 11.4 MB is all I could have.
3- Nokia store and the web browser give me the "memory full" message after a couple of minutes of browsing, and then they close automatically, making them almost useless.
4- The battery life is not impressive. I have to charge the phone every 1-2 days even with light usage (15 min of calls, no Wi-Fi or music playing).

I have a problem that my E5 keeps telling me it is out of memory, to the point where it has become unusable. I've deleted applications and messages, but it seems to keep filling up and either tell me memory is low or that it is out of memory.
Options -> Memory -> Phone Memory tells me that there is over 200MB in 'Other Files', but File Manager doesn't show them and neither does the file explorer I downloaded from the Ovi Store. So I have no idea what can be taking up all the space...
I don't seem to be the only person with this problem, and since I've deleted as much as I can I don't see how it can be my fault! I am getting so frustrated with this phone

I Have gone through the C memory and the below are the only items with any significant file size. Config = 86kb, Log = 157kb, Mail for exchange 26kb, Place widget 17kb, Sound files 118kb, adimagetemp 12kb, Bur_debug 43kb, debug.log 21kb, ka3d-log.txt 89kb, MdfpluginArchive.txt 27kb, Everything else is eithr 0 or bytes only, with about three more less than 10kb each.
what I can delete safely. I am no expert, however I do not see why the above quantity should be using up so much on the C memory?
I have taken back to factory settings and transferred data to PC under Nokia Suite Make Space option.
I've tried to update the software (maps 3.1 + Python2.0) on my E52 via the software updater on both the phone itself and the Nokia PC Suite but it doesn't want to do it, despite the fact that I have 14GB (!) free memory on the sd card and also sufficient internal memory. It gives the message: 'Not enough memory for update. Delete soms data and try again.'

Can anyone else suggest what could be taking up so much space? I have gone onto the phone in Windows Explorer, and while that confirms the low memory I cannot find a file taking up so much space.
New E7, latest firmware, my first day of playing. Loaded about 7G of music on to the mass memory. Mass still had 7.2G free. Then I deleted the music files, however I still have only 7.2G free, according to both the File Manager on the E7, and to the MAC I connect via USB. Cannot see anything which is using much memory at all. I wonder if there is a hidden trash file? Also, is there a way to see file and directory sizes using File Manager? Very nice phone, but a bit of a learning curve - trying to wean myself off a Psion 5mx and a 10yo Nokia 6210.

The phone is now working OK (including connecting to PC Suite) but I can't see the option to restore the information (calendar and contacts) from my memory card to my phone. I know it should be in File Manager, Memory Card, Options, but the option simply isn't there- I can either remove my memory card, or back up my phone to the memory card which as it has no information on it I don't want to do!
