Eseries / Communicators :: E5 - HQ Video Recording Lag?
Oct 19, 2010Im using the E5 and whenever I record a High quality video and save the video under Memory Card, the recording lags after 8 seconds. It works fine when I switched the settings to save under Phone Memory.I want to save longer recordings using Memory card WITHOUT the lags. I've exitted all running programs, ran phone in Offline Mode, deleted all games and songs, shut down, removed the batteries, switched it back on YET the problem persists.

Apr 29, 2012My nokia crash during video recording when sensor (portrait/landscape) is on. Crash take after random time, usualy 5 to 15 minute. Crash apprear as blank screen and automatic reset of the phone. I use phone as vehicle recorder, so there might me a shakes. Regular turning during recording does not causing the crash.
When I set the sensor setting to off is everyfing correct. I can record 1h movie without any problem.

May 23, 2011I have been experiencing a problemwith video recording on my e52 afterupdating to firmware v054.003. Thevideo recording is no longer smooth,there are pauses and stuttering.Anyone who has the same problem on updating to the new firmware. Anynews of a new firmware because I amtired of this new one, it messed up myphone, I can't record videos. I wish Inever updated in the first place.

Jun 24, 2010Recently my Nokia E72 has begun to lag after about 8 seconds after starting the recording. After I finish record (with the lag) my processed video will jitter and pixelate where the lag spikes occured during recording. This was not a problem until after I updated to the latest firmware a few weeks ago. I have looked everywhere online for a solution and have decided here might bring some possible solutions. Is there any way to try and fix this without downgrading the firmware?

Mar 28, 2010I recently got a new E63 phone & am struggling to get my contacts right. The problem is the default contact location is phone memory and though i have copied the contacts to phone memory, if there is any incoming call or sms, the name doesnt appear even though i would have that persons contact stored.
Is there any way to change the default location to memory card? I go to Communication -> contacts -> Options -> Settings and the only option available is Phone & Contacts. Currently the default is phone. If i change to contacts, it asks for sign in. Kindly assist.

Feb 29, 2012Often make my own ringtones using Garageband on my Mac. Transfer the tone from Garageband into iTunes (can either be shared as a specific ringtone file ('mpr' I believe), or can transfer as a regular song ('mp3').Then I use Bluetooth to send the new ringtone file from the Mac to the Phone (E7-00, Symbian Anna).It gets stored, initially, in the E:/Received Files folder. Fair enough.But now here's the problem - where can I store the new ringtone file after that, so it would appear in the phone's 'Tones' folder, the one that's displayed when I want to, e.g., change the ringtone / text-message / email alert, altogether? What I'm getting at is that I'd very much like my new ring / alert tone to feature on the default list of all the Nokia-assigned ringtones that comes as standard with the phone?Otherwise, it appears I have to save the file in the generic songs list to be played (and used as a ring / alert tone), amongst all the other actual music I listen to with the Music Player function, which I don't want to do...

Feb 15, 2011I have a problem that my E5 keeps telling me it is out of memory, to the point where it has become unusable. I've deleted applications and messages, but it seems to keep filling up and either tell me memory is low or that it is out of memory.
Options -> Memory -> Phone Memory tells me that there is over 200MB in 'Other Files', but File Manager doesn't show them and neither does the file explorer I downloaded from the Ovi Store. So I have no idea what can be taking up all the space...
I don't seem to be the only person with this problem, and since I've deleted as much as I can I don't see how it can be my fault! I am getting so frustrated with this phone

Oct 23, 2012I keep getting the 'C' memory low message. I only have 17.7mb left I have most items on E mass memory. I Have gone through the C memory and the below are the only items with any significant file size. Config = 86kb, Log = 157kb, Mail for exchange 26kb, Place widget 17kb, Sound files 118kb, adimagetemp 12kb, Bur_debug 43kb, debug.log 21kb, ka3d-log.txt 89kb, MdfpluginArchive.txt 27kb, Everything else is eithr 0 or bytes only, with about three more less than 10kb each.
what I can delete safely. I am no expert, however I do not see why the above quantity should be using up so much on the C memory?
I have taken back to factory settings and transferred data to PC under Nokia Suite Make Space option.

Jan 6, 2010I've tried to update the software (maps 3.1 + Python2.0) on my E52 via the software updater on both the phone itself and the Nokia PC Suite but it doesn't want to do it, despite the fact that I have 14GB (!) free memory on the sd card and also sufficient internal memory. It gives the message: 'Not enough memory for update. Delete soms data and try again.'
I have the latest firmware update. Does anyone know a fix?

-Apps
Can anyone else suggest what could be taking up so much space? I have gone onto the phone in Windows Explorer, and while that confirms the low memory I cannot find a file taking up so much space.

Aug 10, 2011New E7, latest firmware, my first day of playing. Loaded about 7G of music on to the mass memory. Mass still had 7.2G free. Then I deleted the music files, however I still have only 7.2G free, according to both the File Manager on the E7, and to the MAC I connect via USB. Cannot see anything which is using much memory at all. I wonder if there is a hidden trash file? Also, is there a way to see file and directory sizes using File Manager? Very nice phone, but a bit of a learning curve - trying to wean myself off a Psion 5mx and a 10yo Nokia 6210.
