It happens quite often every 3rd sms i sent , that whenever I type a message then lights goes off and Handset restarts itself. I have done Hard Reset with *#7370# and Also Reinstalled the firmware.

Whenever I restart my phone, it waits for a little jiffy, and then a message appears, "Unable to complete installation from memory card. To install remaining applications go to Application manager". How do we get rid of this? Well, how do we recognize the App that's causing this?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI recently got myself an E7-00 after using a E71 for two years. In the E71 I often saved entries in the calendar as a Memo entry. I backed up the E71 and restored to the E7 and have all my entries back in the calender but now I find that I cannot open the memos that I saved. I am able to edit them but they then change into a regular entry. I see that I cannot choose a memo entry when I add a new entry to the calendar, so apparently this functionality was dropped for some reason.
This is very annoying as I cannot get to the info I saved now. Is there a way around this to get this type of entry back? Or at least to look at my old entries?

Every so often my e6 would restart. I was thinking of why it would restart and came to the conclusion that whenever im in an area with no signal, it would restart. It doesnt have a problem when im in offline mode.

After doing a lot of thing I found that problem is due to INTERNET Connectivity. Then it turned on a seems to work fine except when I use the keypad only the number symbol comes up or a square. Like no numbers or letters come up. I cant type messages. And when I scroll through my inbox it marks all the messages. I am confused I think my number lock is on or something.

I wokeup and restarted my phone cause it was acting a bit too slow. after the restart, i lost all my contacts. i restarted again but nothing happened. i did a ovi sync restore, and even then nothing happened. I know for sure that i had contacts on ovi sync server. it was set to "sync when data changes".

This happens on not on all days, and sometimes even when it is on standby.Today I happened to note that F Secure screen was coming after sudden restar and then back to restart again. Now it is stable and I saw that F secure was showing update to anti theft as of 28/9/11.So I am suspecting that may be F Secure causes the restart while updating.

On restart all of my ringtones have "disappeared" - E.g. Trying to change any tone the phone tries to access the library by showing "opening", but it hangs. Nokia has made my life miserable within one month. (This was my first Nokia phone ever.) I find no consistency anywhere. I have seen same solved topic threads on this forum but I am not able to find permanent solution. some guys said do hard reset I have done this but same problem exist.
I've found I have to restore factory settings every few days because my E7 stops displaying "1 new message" at the bottom of the screen and also suddenly doesn't make a tone when the message arrives. Also, the small envelope icon at the top right doesn't appear. The only way I know I have a new message is if the phone is in standby mode and I see the menu light flashing. Otherwise, I have to open messages or conversations to see if there are any new messages. I have to do this every few days when it suddenly stops showing new message arrival. I've found only restoring factory settings works, which is a pain since it erases all my personal settings.

After upgrading the firmware to 071 from 054, my E72 can't read sms if the sms comes from BlackBerry 9780 (Onyx 2). My E72 can receive and read other sms from other devices, but if the sms is sent from BB 9780, it will say error message: "The message format is not supported".I haven't try to soft or hard reset yet since there're a lot of applications on my E72 and I don't have the time to reinstall and resetting all of them.
