Apr 8, 2012I seem to be having problems with my PC suite not recognizing my E 71 phone. When i first connect the cable to my usb port on my pc i get this error message - connection between pc and phone failed, error code ox80040154 switch mobile off and on again and try again but still gives me the same error message.

Aug 23, 2011Since the launch of Symbian Anna last Thursday, I have been trying to download it via Ovi Suite. My phone shows the update but tells me to download via PC.Ovi Suite shows the new software being available, but everytime I try to download (about 20 times since last week), I get the following; Checking for latest updates . ThenChecking if device support software is up to date...... ThenSomething has gone wrong. There was a problem. Retsart Ovi Suite and start again. Error code 12017.I have uninstalled and re-installed Ovi Suite (V 3.1.1.85) on my PC (Windows 7 64-Bit). When I call Nokia I just get told that their servers are down and to keep trying, however on one of the discussions it states error code 12017 is due to the software not reaching the phone intact.

Jul 18, 2011After upgrading the firmware to 071 from 054, my E72 can't read sms if the sms comes from BlackBerry 9780 (Onyx 2). My E72 can receive and read other sms from other devices, but if the sms is sent from BB 9780, it will say error message: "The message format is not supported".I haven't try to soft or hard reset yet since there're a lot of applications on my E72 and I don't have the time to reinstall and resetting all of them.

Apr 12, 2011Ever since I've upgraded my E72 to version 51, phone tends to crash almost every time I turn on WLAN scanning, displaying a System Error message, forcing me to lose all my data, including applications I've paid for.From what I've read here on the forums, I understand that reverting to factory settings might fix this issue, but I don't that I should not be forced to lose everything on my device due to Nokia's incompetence, especially since I have no guarantee that this issue will not show up again.

Feb 15, 2011I received a text message with a picture (ya know, one of those possibly WBMP format ones).After 15 minutes now, I'm still shocked to have found no way to save that picture. Nokia has made my life miserable within one month. (This was my first Nokia phone ever.) I find no consistency anywhere. Any basic thing takes enormous number of key presses or is not present at all.How can I save the picture I received in the text? There's no such option in the message menus.

Mar 19, 2011I've found I have to restore factory settings every few days because my E7 stops displaying "1 new message" at the bottom of the screen and also suddenly doesn't make a tone when the message arrives. Also, the small envelope icon at the top right doesn't appear. The only way I know I have a new message is if the phone is in standby mode and I see the menu light flashing. Otherwise, I have to open messages or conversations to see if there are any new messages. I have to do this every few days when it suddenly stops showing new message arrival. I've found only restoring factory settings works, which is a pain since it erases all my personal settings.

I don't want this because sometimes the button gets pressed just because my phone is in a rather tight pocket and my pants starts talking (reading the mail). Oct 7, 2010I went through getting rid of as much as possible and doing a factory reset to try and get rid of the problems.I managed to free up about 20mb, and then by the end of the same day I end up getting the memory full error messages again, which is stopping me from using phone properly. Unable to run most applications or recieve text messages.

Oct 31, 2012My Nokia E71 (it's black so it may be an E71x, I guess) keeps giving me out of memory errors. I use my phone for nothing but voice calls, text messages, and emails. I have cleared all call logs, deleted all emails except 5 (they have no attachments) and cleared deleted emails, and deleted all text messages. I went into file manager and made sure there are no images, videos, etc. on the phone. I set up options to use memory card for emails. I've turned the phone off, waited 15 or 20 seconds, and turned it back on.
I did all this a couple weeks ago. Ever since then. every couple days I get these out of memory errors, and the phone memory shows me 119 MB used and something like 300K free. I'm at the point where every few emails that come in, I have to delete all emails, erase all text messages, etc. or the phone is just too low on memory to operate. I don't have any additional applications installed. I've even tried to delete built-in apps such as RealPlayer but it didn't seem like that was possible.

Apr 1, 2012I tried to update my E71, first on the platform of Nokia Ovi Suite and later on Nokia Suite, but I always got the error:12071 when the progress went to install software stage. Does everyone know what is going wrong? I did the update following the steps.I saw some other people have also ever met this problem. Nokia Software Updater was suggested as a solution. However, this part should have been included in the Nokia Suite already (correct me if I am wrong as I cannot find this package on Nokia website).

I put a new memory card.In the gallery there is over 700 images indexed, which does not exist anymore(they were on the old memory card). Apr 14, 2012E7-00 Symbian Belle suggested an update of Maps and Microsoft Applications. After the installation, whenever I try to click and URL from e-mail or open a Twitter link (with dTack) I receive the error message "Loading failed. Try again later".I have re-booted both normally and with long press of power button - No help.I also changed the default browser from Opera Mobile to Nokia's Web - No help either.As a matter of fact, the E7 doesn't really make any use of the Default browser setting, but always launches the clumsy Nokia Web instead of Opera. Usin the E7 is very inconvenient when the web links don't work as they did before.
