How am I supposed to report an error, when my "more+" menu does not appear? I have the latest version. I have unistalled and installed Ovi maps milion times and that menu does not appear. And the interesting is that Before I had that menu. Don't know how it dissapeared with no reason.
The browser in not coming back to main window neither will it exit from option menu if you go to setting menu in browser window. feeds are no refreshed
I am getting a Message Alert tone on every Delivery report, someone help me on disabling this. This is annoying and I am using E72 with frimware v91.004
I think i know that Nokia Maps was renamed a Ovi Maps, but then I have these two softwares installed seperately in my E72. I mean I got a Nokia Maps (6MB) and then a Ovi Maps (8MB) seperately installed on my device.
Now do I require both of them or may be just ovi can suffice?
I've had the phone with me for 1.5 years, and when I bought it, I deleted the maps. But now I need them, how do i get them back? Do I need to use nokia map loader?
Downloaded latest Anna update (025.007) and after that downloaded Nokia Maps 3.08. After installation Maps gives an error message sayin "Device does not support this function" or something similar...
my E6 is back from Nokia Care, after hard reset I was trying to install Skype, latest OVI Maps and other applications from Ovi Store but I can't find them! About 1 month ago they were available from Ovi store for E6 and I installed them! What happened?
When trying to upload new Ovi maps, I get a message that my memory card is full. Checking memory card properties (on the computer) shows enough space and OVI reports:
Your device's memory card is full. free some memory. Amount of memory required: 648 MB, amount of memory currently available: 817 MB.
I updated my OVI Suite software (to 3.0.0.284) and the software on my E52 (to 052.003). I first tried to upload one map and it reported full memory. Then I tried to update existing maps and got the message above. Then I deleted ALL maps and tried to upload ONE map and again there was not enough memory..
I seem to be having problems with my PC suite not recognizing my E 71 phone. When i first connect the cable to my usb port on my pc i get this error message - connection between pc and phone failed, error code ox80040154 switch mobile off and on again and try again but still gives me the same error message.
I have only 228Mb of 1.86Gb (10%) free on my memory card. The "cities" folder alone contains 1.05Gb (over half of the available memory). This seems to be a ridiculous amount of memory to be consumed by just one application. I read in another topic that someone was getting "memory full" error messages when trying to download Ovi Maps, and the solution was to delete the "cities" folder prior to downloading /t5/Eseries-and-Communicators/Not-able-to-download-OVI-maps/m-p/883467#M83039 . Should I also delete the "cities" folder
I borrowed a friend's E52 for a while and transferred my contacts, and it was great to have the option to simply click on Show in maps to navigate to their door. But that option is not in the Contacts app on the E66. Surely it could be easily included in a firmware update but it wasn't in the last one - will it be in the next one?
Been using my E71 for sometime now and the gps has always worked fine with the voice indications. All of sudden, the voice is no longer there ? I've updated the phone's software to the latest version and also Nokia Maps but no luck. Is there a particular way of getting my voice back ?
My E72 has Ovi Maps 3.03 (246) installed (I think this was the release last January).A few days ago, while checking the SW Update on my E72, it notified me of a new Important update - Ovi Maps 3.3. I looked at the "View Details" and notice that this is 3.03 (316), so the version number appears to be an update over the previous 3.03 (246) version.I tried installing it (several times) from the cellphone but it always ends up with "Update failed".Searching around the Internet, I notice that 3.03 (316) seems to be an updated version for the Nokia N86 (previously, this cellphone wasn't officially supported by 3.03 (246)).
How can I avoid roaming data cost when using Nokia E7 maps abroad?Isn't it possible to give the device a rough location to speed up the satellite fix and avoid the data traffic altogether?
I would like to report errors in the Nokia Maps in my country, also missing places (You dont have 2 of the biggest hospitals in our country in your database). Where do I do this? If you find my post helpful please click the green star on the left under the avatar.
Recently I updated my phone's software to 510.21.010, after which my Nokia maps is not working. When I open Nokia Maps application, it shows the message " download latest version from 'nokia/maps' ", when I checked the site, Maps for E63 is not available.
I have purchased a new E5-00 2 days ago and it's having issues with the network connection (i.e. most of the time i cannot receive or make any calls). The SIM card is working fine in other phones. I also applied a hard reset using *#7370# code, but the problem persists. The software version si 091.001.
I went through getting rid of as much as possible and doing a factory reset to try and get rid of the problems.I managed to free up about 20mb, and then by the end of the same day I end up getting the memory full error messages again, which is stopping me from using phone properly. Unable to run most applications or recieve text messages.
I've got Ovi Suite 3.1.1.75 and I'm trying to install Map MyTracks app on E66. I installed a signed version, but somehow it was seen on the phone as an unsigned one. So I removed it and tried to install it directly via the phone but I got an error ("Installaton failed" or something like that). So I tried to install it again via Ovi Suite, but now Im getting error code 300.
i realize when i turn on my cellphone on power saving ,it give me a error and it says Phone start-up failed.Contact the retailer, and i need to turn off the cellphone, but if i deactivate the power saving the cellphone in the start up it works fine, i notice too that the power saving activating doesn't deactivate the signal or chance the mode of saving power
I've tried everything I can think of including a hard reset (volume down, camera, menu and power) and re-flashing with Ovi-Suite. And I still can't access the mass memory. It won't show in windows and if anything tries to write to the mass memory it will throw up the error 'mass memory in use'.
My Nokia E71 (it's black so it may be an E71x, I guess) keeps giving me out of memory errors. I use my phone for nothing but voice calls, text messages, and emails. I have cleared all call logs, deleted all emails except 5 (they have no attachments) and cleared deleted emails, and deleted all text messages. I went into file manager and made sure there are no images, videos, etc. on the phone. I set up options to use memory card for emails. I've turned the phone off, waited 15 or 20 seconds, and turned it back on.
I did all this a couple weeks ago. Ever since then. every couple days I get these out of memory errors, and the phone memory shows me 119 MB used and something like 300K free. I'm at the point where every few emails that come in, I have to delete all emails, erase all text messages, etc. or the phone is just too low on memory to operate. I don't have any additional applications installed. I've even tried to delete built-in apps such as RealPlayer but it didn't seem like that was possible.
I tried to update my E71, first on the platform of Nokia Ovi Suite and later on Nokia Suite, but I always got the error:12071 when the progress went to install software stage. Does everyone know what is going wrong? I did the update following the steps.I saw some other people have also ever met this problem. Nokia Software Updater was suggested as a solution. However, this part should have been included in the Nokia Suite already (correct me if I am wrong as I cannot find this package on Nokia website).
I got the phone from a friend of mine, who took off his memory card. I put a new memory card.In the gallery there is over 700 images indexed, which does not exist anymore(they were on the old memory card). When I try to delete them I got the following message:"General: System error"I have tried the following:
- Create a folder named: I:Imagescamera201006201006a0 (for June 2010) and placed an image file with the following name: 06062010085.jpg - unsuccessful
- Delete(rename) some files(folders) located in "Private" folder - I read that these files contains the index data - unsuccessful
- Reset the phone to factory settings - unsuccessful
E7-00 Symbian Belle suggested an update of Maps and Microsoft Applications. After the installation, whenever I try to click and URL from e-mail or open a Twitter link (with dTack) I receive the error message "Loading failed. Try again later".I have re-booted both normally and with long press of power button - No help.I also changed the default browser from Opera Mobile to Nokia's Web - No help either. As a matter of fact, the E7 doesn't really make any use of the Default browser setting, but always launches the clumsy Nokia Web instead of Opera. Usin the E7 is very inconvenient when the web links don't work as they did before.
I deleted some of my photos with my file manager but the clip arts in my photo gallery are still there and when i try to delete them i get the response, ''GENERAL SYSTEM ERROR''. What do I do? I use an E72.
I have E52 and always, when I am on wifi and I close nokia browser or e-mail client phone disables wifi connection as normal behavior, but then immediately phone shows warning "system error" with exclamation point on yellow triangle in front. After confirming OK it shows up again and again. You are able to pick up a phone call but the warning sign stays on display.
I did a hard reset on my phone today as my phone would freeze at times but it seems that it has given me new problems.Firstly, Everytime I restart the phone, the system error message comes up on the homescreen, I would click ok but it comes up 3 or 4 more timesSecondly, I cannot access my contacts at all, whether I try accessing it from the menu or from a shortcut I have on the homescreen.I have tried to solve this myself...I have re-installed the phone software after doing the hard reset, I have restored my phone from the backup I did, and I have rebooted the phone a few times but I still get the same thing. The software is Symbian Anna, I understand that there is a Belle update but it is not yet available for the phone that is on the network that I am on (which is network Three)
I have had this phone since september 2011 and it is under warranty. This is the first time I have encountered a problem.Other than that, everything else works fine; I can install apps and make calls and use the internet etc. I just want to get rid of the system error message, and have access to contacts without having to send the phone off for repair!
