Been using my E71 for sometime now and the gps has always worked fine with the voice indications. All of sudden, the voice is no longer there ? I've updated the phone's software to the latest version and also Nokia Maps but no luck. Is there a particular way of getting my voice back ?

I think i know that Nokia Maps was renamed a Ovi Maps, but then I have these two softwares installed seperately in my E72. I mean I got a Nokia Maps (6MB) and then a Ovi Maps (8MB) seperately installed on my device.
Now do I require both of them or may be just ovi can suffice?
I dont know what I did but the phone book has disapperared from my phone ( Nokia E71 ). When I click on the hard key ( Phonebook ), then it shows only two options ( GoOnline, Chat with buddy ) But if I want to write a message to someone and want to select his name, then I can see the entire telephonebook. that means the telephone book is there on the phone but it is no more accessible via the hard key phone button.
View 3 Replies View Relatedtoday my e52 froze, was up to date (051.018) so i reinstalled the software using the nokia ovi suite. my phone turned on a again, no problem everything seemed oke until i noticed the folder 'internet' was now called 'web' and i can't put the shortcuts to facebook and Internet there anymore. a second thing that had changed is the folder gps disappeared. and now the 3 apps who were in there are just in the app's folder

When i open the message folder there is only "no conversations" written, dispite the fact i have new messages in the inbox folder. My question is how can i restore/enable the consversation view, so the incoming messages are able to be seen in conversation view?

I even tried to launch from nokia store link but nothing. It is also not shown in my already installed applications under settings . View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a N85 Navi which I bought less than a year ago. I updated this week the maps and the application (latest version)and added one voice for the navigation. After this update when I open the Maps and select Settings and Navigation (to change i.e. voice), Maps closes automatically without any error messages. I can open all the other settings sub-menus. Any ideas why this is happening? Do I have the to re-install the application, maps and voices?

When I got it the main menu was there and I was able to switch between personal and professional Modi.Then I restored contacts etc from a backup from when it ran 071.014.Now it is impossible to switch btw. pers. and prof. modi. Even when I click the prof. modi it stays "personal".furthermore, the icons on the first page has disappeared, and it is no longer possible to add any in the modi menu, (there is no "data window" in the Program shorcuts entry, so there is no way to add entries).

View 1 Replies View RelatedBefore I acquired a Nokia E51 and later on upgraded to E55 I had a great 6300 Nokia phone. One of my favourite features of 6300 was the voice recorder that worked in the background so that you could switch it on, then go back to the home screen and then do whatever, change the profile, check messages or even make a phone call, and it would still be working recording everything.
Unfortunately newer is not always better and both E51 and E55 have a downgraded (or buggy?) voice recorder that will pause whenever you go to the home screen. So say, you are recording a discussion at a seminar, then a message or email arrives and you have no way of checking it without pausing the recorder. For me it is the most annoying "feature" in those phones.
The question is then, does anyone know a replacement voice recording software that will work regardless of what you are doing with the aforementioned phones in the meantime?
I've had the phone with me for 1.5 years, and when I bought it, I deleted the maps. But now I need them, how do i get them back? Do I need to use nokia map loader?

Your device's memory card is full. free some memory. Amount of memory required: 648 MB, amount of memory currently available: 817 MB.
I updated my OVI Suite software (to 3.0.0.284) and the software on my E52 (to 052.003). I first tried to upload one map and it reported full memory. Then I tried to update existing maps and got the message above. Then I deleted ALL maps and tried to upload ONE map and again there was not enough memory..
How am I supposed to report an error, when my "more+" menu does not appear? I have the latest version. I have unistalled and installed Ovi maps milion times and that menu does not appear. And the interesting is that Before I had that menu. Don't know how it dissapeared with no reason.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have added the Voice cmds shortcut to a home screen as advised on another thread, to allow voice commands to be used after updating the E7-00 to Belle. Whenever I tap on Voice cmds there is a beep and a popup appears, saying "Voice commands cannot be used at the moment".I can see that Martin is present in the Phone Setup speech settings and that he is ready to speak in English (UK).

Today, upon trying this feature again, only "Ellen" was present. I do not believe that I have accidentally deleted "Martin". I have, however, updated the phone software using PC Suite (to 071.003). I have tried installing the downloadable voice file, but receive an "Update error" when I do. I am able successfully to install other language packages and their associated voices. This seems to be a ridiculous amount of memory to be consumed by just one application. I read in another topic that someone was getting "memory full" error messages when trying to download Ovi Maps, and the solution was to delete the "cities" folder prior to downloading /t5/Eseries-and-Communicators/Not-able-to-download-OVI-maps/m-p/883467#M83039 . But that option is not in the Contacts app on the E66. Surely it could be easily included in a firmware update but it wasn't in the last one - will it be in the next one?

I looked at the "View Details" and notice that this is 3.03 (316), so the version number appears to be an update over the previous 3.03 (246) version.I tried installing it (several times) from the cellphone but it always ends up with "Update failed".Searching around the Internet, I notice that 3.03 (316) seems to be an updated version for the Nokia N86 (previously, this cellphone wasn't officially supported by 3.03 (246)).
