Apr 25, 2011how do i change the numbers on the favorites widget on the home screen? i added them once and I cannot change them, even if I remove the widget, add it again, or add other contantcs in the contact list to favourites. the 4 widget favourites are still the same.

Sep 11, 2010I think i know that Nokia Maps was renamed a Ovi Maps, but then I have these two softwares installed seperately in my E72. I mean I got a Nokia Maps (6MB) and then a Ovi Maps (8MB) seperately installed on my device.
Now do I require both of them or may be just ovi can suffice?

Jan 6, 2013Why is it that when I'm creating a route in Maps, the outcome varies dependent on how I created the route, thus using the same route parameters?
I've created the same route using different ways of creating the route, and the created route is different every time. If I create the route in Maps using the search facility, the route is different if I use an address via the people and contacts interface. And again it is different when using Drive.
I made the discovery when a suggested route made a 16.2 km de-tour on a 11 km stretch. More than a 100%. I'm now wondering if I dare to use NOKIA maps for my summer trip to Italy from Denmark.
NOKIA - make a navigation app where I can define my own waypoints. This is essential in every navigation system. optimize the app, so I can choose an alternative route - this is basic in most modern navigation systems.

Jan 13, 2011When trying to upload new Ovi maps, I get a message that my memory card is full. Checking memory card properties (on the computer) shows enough space and OVI reports:
Your device's memory card is full. free some memory. Amount of memory required: 648 MB, amount of memory currently available: 817 MB.
I updated my OVI Suite software (to 3.0.0.284) and the software on my E52 (to 052.003). I first tried to upload one map and it reported full memory. Then I tried to update existing maps and got the message above. Then I deleted ALL maps and tried to upload ONE map and again there was not enough memory..

Mar 8, 2011How am I supposed to report an error, when my "more+" menu does not appear? I have the latest version. I have unistalled and installed Ovi maps milion times and that menu does not appear. And the interesting is that Before I had that menu. Don't know how it dissapeared with no reason.

This seems to be a ridiculous amount of memory to be consumed by just one application. I read in another topic that someone was getting "memory full" error messages when trying to download Ovi Maps, and the solution was to delete the "cities" folder prior to downloading /t5/Eseries-and-Communicators/Not-able-to-download-OVI-maps/m-p/883467#M83039 . Jul 28, 2010I borrowed a friend's E52 for a while and transferred my contacts, and it was great to have the option to simply click on Show in maps to navigate to their door. But that option is not in the Contacts app on the E66. Surely it could be easily included in a firmware update but it wasn't in the last one - will it be in the next one?

Mar 26, 2010My E72 has Ovi Maps 3.03 (246) installed (I think this was the release last January).A few days ago, while checking the SW Update on my E72, it notified me of a new Important update - Ovi Maps 3.3. I looked at the "View Details" and notice that this is 3.03 (316), so the version number appears to be an update over the previous 3.03 (246) version.I tried installing it (several times) from the cellphone but it always ends up with "Update failed".Searching around the Internet, I notice that 3.03 (316) seems to be an updated version for the Nokia N86 (previously, this cellphone wasn't officially supported by 3.03 (246)).

Jun 9, 2010I have been creating all sorts of trails within Ovi maps.I have, in error now created at least 400 "favourite places" while trying to create a trail.These favourite places seem to be slowing down my devices, and I can find no easy way of deleting them. Other than selecting each one and confirming individually.I have deleted the places on the Ovi Maps interface within IE, but I am unable to synchronise the phone to pick up my deletions.I'm guessing I am unable to sync due to the very large number of favourite places I have on the device.
I've tried to delete OVI maps, but I'm guessing its part of the OS...Does anyone know how I can delete them through the file explorer view?

Psiloc World Traveller
Adv. Comm. Manager
Smart Connect
Vlingo
PTT
I do not require these but I do not have the option to delete them - all I can do for now is move them to a new folder which I have called 'Unused apps'. Can anyone shed any light on how I can remove these apps and therefore free up more memory.
