Eseries / Communicators :: Unable To Delete A File From Downloads List Of It
Jul 3, 2011i am an e7 user. I was recently downloading a couple of videos at the same time when my phone hanged and had to be restarted. When it did restart, most of the files had to be redownloaded. All except one. The downloads list claims that the file has been saved. The video plays bt isnt completely downloaded.The problem now is that i cant delete the video through the file manager. The error msg says web:already in use.. When i tried deleting the file from the downloads list of the web browser, there was a similar msg.

This account is in emails and is listed under settings but when I try to remove it it sitill remains. I can not open this account in settings either.

Psiloc World Traveller
Adv. Comm. Manager
Smart Connect
Vlingo
PTT
I do not require these but I do not have the option to delete them - all I can do for now is move them to a new folder which I have called 'Unused apps'. Can anyone shed any light on how I can remove these apps and therefore free up more memory.

I tried looking for the rootfile, I think I was able to delete them, but they are still there. Where is the rootfile for the installed stuff in themes?

May 24, 2011Would anyone be able to tell me how I can delete an email account from my device? I changed email providers and the account is inactive but I just cannot find an option to delete it. I'm trying to use the email app to connect to an IMAP4 server (which I run).When I delete a message on the E7, the email app appears to mark the message as deleted, and then it immediately does an expunge on the mailbox, so destroying all deleted messages in the mailbox. This is not the behaviour I want.The convention used on this mail server is that when the user asks to delete a message, the email app should move the message to a Trash folder, so preserving the message for a period of time. I can't find a way to configure the E7's mail client to do this. As this is an utterly standard business requirement

Mar 20, 2011I'm using a PAYG with Virgin UK and it loggs on to T-Mobile on some occasions as there is apparently a network sharing between Virgin and T-Mobile.However, T-Mobile has set a bookmark www.t-zones.co.uk in the Nokia browser (and made it startup page so it goes straight there when you open the browser). The "delete" and "edit" options don't exist on this one. Auto-bookmarks are off in the settings.

Jul 10, 2011I have E7 with symbian anna. A while ago I had to restart my home wifi (due to storm) and during that process a new wifi access point (wlan(01) was created on my phone. After that - as far as I have now understood - my phone stopped syncronising gmails altogether. Also in my provider's network (outside wifi, elisa). In order for my phone to sync emails, i need to reboot it (or just turn it off and on, no need to get the three vibrations when turning off).
Question 1) How do I delete this unncecssary wifi access point on E7? I was able to do it easily on my N900 but not on this E7.
Question 2) Is it likely that the reason my phone stopped syncin gmails is related to this wifi issue? Pressing send & receive won't help, either, nothing happens. I have had this E7 for 1.5 months now, Symbian Anna I've had for 10 days and this problem started 5 days ago. Before that the mails flew in very nicely.

The message I'm getting after starting the deletion process from the application manager is: "Before uninstalling KMS 9.0, disable Encryption and Privacy Protection."where on Earth do I do these seemingly simple tasks? I have not been able to do either task and I have a feeling it is a ridiculously simple process. Jul 24, 2011I took my Nokia E5-00 to unlock it.The display showed the normal screen you see, when the phone is locked.However there was a big black square right in the middle of the screen AND the phone wasn't reacting to inputs.It did not look like a failure of the display itself.Therefore I believed it might be a problem with the OS.Trying to solve it I removed the battery and installed it again a few minutes later.Since then I was not able to switch the phone on any more. It is just doing nothing. Pressing the on/off - button, loading the battery, connecting it to a pc, checking the SIM and SD-card do not make the phone show ANY live sign.Even my PC (Windows 7, connected via USB 2.0 ) does not react to the E5-00 any more.

Jun 29, 2010I can't send MMS from my E71 in Russia (the mobile provider is Megafon) to Switzerland. I've already checked MMS settings and they are ok, because I can send mms within Russia. But it doesn't work when I try to send mms to swiss mobile number.
What can be the possible problem if it's not the mms settings and there is an agreement between mobile providers in these countries to send mms messages?

Dec 31, 2011I just got me a new E5 about a week ago. Despite reading a lot on this forum, I still have two major issues setting up this device; so I need some help. Problem number one is that I cannot set up my email. I have "aol" email that falls under "other" in the email set up section. Some of the screens listed in Pool of Knowledge subsection (like choosing POP3 or IMAP) does not even come up in my e5 during email setup screens. What to do to set up aol email account.
Problem number 2 is that I cannot transfer my contacts and other data from old device (Nokia X2-01) to the new e5. I paired them easily using Bluetooth but when it get to the point of transferring the data, I hear a "click" sound in the e5 and "Bluetooth disconnected." error message comes on. I have tried upteenth times but I get the same result. When I tried to transfer contacts one by one, using Bluetooth business card option it works; but I have over 800 contacts and I would like to use the switch route. What to do to solve this problem?. I hope I do not have a faulty device.
