Eseries / Communicators :: E6 Gave A "Connection Error" Message
Mar 28, 2012
For the second time in 2 months my E6 gave me a "Connection error" message when trying to make a call. Switching off and then on again appears to have fixed it. "Not the network," says Telenor. I am using 3G and was 325 metres from the mast.
I seem to be having problems with my PC suite not recognizing my E 71 phone. When i first connect the cable to my usb port on my pc i get this error message - connection between pc and phone failed, error code ox80040154 switch mobile off and on again and try again but still gives me the same error message.
I have purchased a new E5-00 2 days ago and it's having issues with the network connection (i.e. most of the time i cannot receive or make any calls). The SIM card is working fine in other phones. I also applied a hard reset using *#7370# code, but the problem persists. The software version si 091.001.
I'm a proud nokia user, but lately, I've been encountering some problems using my Nokia E71-1. Whilst making voice and data calls, my phone fails and indicates ''connection error'' on the display.
Since the launch of Symbian Anna last Thursday, I have been trying to download it via Ovi Suite. My phone shows the update but tells me to download via PC.Ovi Suite shows the new software being available, but everytime I try to download (about 20 times since last week), I get the following; Checking for latest updates . ThenChecking if device support software is up to date...... ThenSomething has gone wrong. There was a problem. Retsart Ovi Suite and start again. Error code 12017.I have uninstalled and re-installed Ovi Suite (V 3.1.1.85) on my PC (Windows 7 64-Bit). When I call Nokia I just get told that their servers are down and to keep trying, however on one of the discussions it states error code 12017 is due to the software not reaching the phone intact.
After upgrading the firmware to 071 from 054, my E72 can't read sms if the sms comes from BlackBerry 9780 (Onyx 2). My E72 can receive and read other sms from other devices, but if the sms is sent from BB 9780, it will say error message: "The message format is not supported".I haven't try to soft or hard reset yet since there're a lot of applications on my E72 and I don't have the time to reinstall and resetting all of them.
My Nokia E71 stopped connecting to the internet on 5th of this month and talks have been on with my operator. My phone is able to connect to the internet using another service. I just thought of resetting the phone with a hope that everything can work fine. After I restored the phone, I am getting a message onnection not available". I have the settings from the operator and I saved them. But still when I try to connect to the internet is giving the same message onnection not availabl. What could be the fault and what can I do to it
Ever since I've upgraded my E72 to version 51, phone tends to crash almost every time I turn on WLAN scanning, displaying a System Error message, forcing me to lose all my data, including applications I've paid for. From what I've read here on the forums, I understand that reverting to factory settings might fix this issue, but I don't that I should not be forced to lose everything on my device due to Nokia's incompetence, especially since I have no guarantee that this issue will not show up again.
We just got our 3Gs's last weekend. This morning I checked some mail and came back to it a few minutes later.
All of sudden it would no longer power on. I know the battery was about 50% when I checked email. The phone has not been jailbroken.
Hooked it up to the PC (windows 7) and Itunes said it was in restore mode which I have no idea what this really is. Itunes said to go ahead an restore the phone.
I let Itunes start the process, but then Itunes gave an error code 28. I have no idea what this means. The phone has been flawless until this point.
I have seen people having several problems with sync'ing. My problem is probably a variation of the basic underlying problem.I got my Motoactv a couple of days ago. I did a workout, and then tried to sync it wirelessly. I tried several times, but each time it gave me a network error. So then I connected the device to the computer via USB and the sync was successful. The next day, I did a couple of workouts. This time both the wireless and USB syncs failed numerous times. After reading several other posts, I did a factory reset.I then did a workout, and tried the wireless sync, and that failed. I didn't try the USB sync at that time. I went to bed, and when I got up this morning, Motoacdtv said that the sync was successful. So sometime during the night, the wireless sync occurred. I then did another workout today, and then did a USB sync which was successful. Another workout, and then the wireless sync (without intervention) worked.
I have a noia lumia 710, and whenever I connect my windows phone , zune opens but then an error message prompts. " Connection error, Can't connect to your phone.Disconnect it, restart it, then try connecting again."I have tried all possible solutions.I try every steps suggested in that link.htmand also that link I could do the Certificate steps cause when I open certmgr.msc I don't see anywhere the Zune certificate.
my E6 seems to always show a 3G connection icon. I am not surfing the internet though and everything is set not to make connections. WiFi is priority 1.
I was wondering why my E7 keeps the 3.5G connection online even thou theres no application using it? I have set mail boxes for gmail and some other mail but i have set syncing to longest possible interval. Also widgets are offline. There nothing running in the background. If I manually close the connection, it will pop up online in about 5 seconds.
Also when i set the connection to be only manually acceptable, it will stay offline but when I use browser or etc and I allow the connection, it keeps the connection online indefinetly after closing all apps. Theres no data transfer visible but im imaging it will consume battery?
Are those mailboxes causing this and can I set them up so they wont sync at all unless I manually want them to ?
I have had my Nokia E72 for a few months now and while it's good one feature of it is frustrating me somewhat. A while ago I accidently clicked on 'automatic connection' and now my phone keeps asking me to select a connection. Can anyone advise me on how to get rid of this, please?
PC: HP Compaq 8510w running Win XP Professional, SP3 with PC Suite 7.1.51.0 Bluetooth: Broadcom 2.1.207.297/HCI 2.0/LMP 2.0 (HP integrated) E52 software ver 052.003, custom 052.003.247.05 (updated a month earlier)
They pair, but the phone insists my PC is an Audio Device ("Connect to audio device" on the menu). The PC responds somewhat strange - "Bluetooth Hands-Free device E52 Establishing Connection"...which FAILS - "Unable to establish Bluetooth connection" on the E52. So my PC also believes the E52 is a hands-free device. Apparently.Discovery of services on the E52 yields Data Transfer, Dial-Up Networking, Headset Audio Gateway, OBEX File Transfer+Object Push I recently replaced my original E52 with a new one and the first phone paired well and I could at least be on-line with text messages, calendar and contacts, although sometimes they would not connect automatically or the connection would be broken. This one's a mess.
I have E63 which I bought & used in Australia (vodafone) for calls and internet there.phone is unlocked and have been using it in holland (telfort) for calls for the last 6 months.subsrcibed internet last week through provider. had several contacts with customerservice and put in all the right settings. now internet works on other phone, but on my Nokia E63 it says "Packet data: packet data connection not available"
I'm using E72 and I have this kind of problem. How to turn on or off for internet connection in E72? I'm also using Iphone 3GS and it has a turn on/off button for cellular data. Does E72 has this kind of button?
I just upgrade form the E72 to the E7 When in range the E72 automatically connected to the wi-fi and used it as the preferred connection for browsinf, email and whatsapp Why won't the E7 do the same? I connect to my wi-fi successfully, but then it still uses 3G for whatsapp, emails & when I go on the internet
My E7 worked fine untill a few weeks ago it started to loose 3G internet connection regularly. I have set the settings in the way that it should be always connected, but most of the time you can see the symbol of two broken arrows instead of two intact arrows.
I have got my Dell Vostro 3700 with Win7 (Pro-32bit) recently, have been trying connect my E72 with OVI via bluetooth, it only work when the first pairing, and the connection cannot establish once i restarted the computer.
I am using E52 and I have installed Whatsapp Messenger. It uses my packet data connection and I am rob off my credit. The only way I know to stop this is to uninstall Whatsapp. Is there any way or an app on OviStore which can enable/disable my packet data connection as per my wish.
i need to start a modem connection via my usbmodem e52. this connection is not for internet but is used only to connect to another modem at 9600 baud and to use as hyperterminal. I have created my connection but unfortunately the phone doesn't start the connection i receive an erro from the pc. How can i do?
I would like to share my View about E6 smartphone!1Really a Great Design and OS Design rom Nokia.Actually whenever i connect to WIFI and GPRS when i connect first time its connecting and i can use ,After i disconnect and if i try to reconnect both WIFI and GPRS not connecting ,Such that when i restart once and connect its connecting so whenever i need to connect WIFI and GPRS for 2nd time i need to restart my mobile.
Edit: After talking with the support for the server they asked me to provide a traceroute from the phone. Are there any signed applications capable of this? End EditGood day everyone.
I'm currently developing a website experience for a minecraft server, but connections made to this server from my E63 abort after 1-2 seconds (100% of the time). I can't fully load the website (any page that takes more than a second to transfer), nor can I authenticate on the irc server (phone stops receiving data while ident is timing out).
This is the only server I've found that causes this problem (I do not use it to browse a great number of sites), but once I find out what the problem is I'm in a position to fix it.
Applications tried:jmIrc at irc.newmineland.comdefault s60 browser at newmineland.com (and all subpages)Opera for Mobile at [URL] (and subpages)SSH client I've tried connecting to this site via wifi and by 3rd Gen internet, so the IP is not a factor.
When a computer is accessing the internet through the phone it can access these sites fine. As it's both the irc and http demonstrating these problems I can't blame either of them. There is no alternative code on the httpd server that reacts differently to mobile browsers.
We have encountered an endemic E7x problem- (same thing on both E71 and E72, both updated to the max) it insists on using Skype with 3G, and this can't be turned off short of taking the SIM card out. How can one instruct skype to use a wifi connection? this makes skype use abroad very expensive.
