Eseries / Communicators :: Missing Ringtones When Restart After Hard Reset
Jan 20, 2012
I've just had to do a hard reset on my phone (was running extremely slow / not picking up email / internet browser running slow - need I go on). On restart all of my ringtones have "disappeared" - E.g. Trying to change any tone the phone tries to access the library by showing "opening", but it hangs. I have checked the phone using Nokia Suite, and the ringtones are no longer there.
My phone has switched off, takeout memory card and it doesnt start anymore. Vibration comes, but display only boot until nokia welcome screen then keep on flashing white screen and no any further actions.
I tried the : Try to press his :
Capslock - Space - Backspace key combination while powering on or *-3-call press them and hold, while you powering on ur fone.
I forgot the unlock code for nokia e90 i bought used. it was bought from ireland. so i was searching the forums and i found the *+3+call button+switch on technique to hard reset. the hard reset is complete but fone asks for code and now i am totally struck.
my new nokia e7 had an hardware problem, so I brought it one of the Nokia repair centre in Dublin. They have fix it but they also have done an hardreset of the phone (aslo loading the wrong firmware but at least in one week (...) they have fix this). The results is that OVI STORE is not working anymore on the smartphone and THEY
Ever since I have bought Nokia E7 it had almost full phone memory. I've done many hard resets and after every one the situation is the same. With no applications instaled it had 35 MB of free phone memory. After I install Anna upgrades 1/2 and 2/2 it's memory is reduced to about 5 MB. When I look details in phone manager, it shows me that there is 410 MB of "other files". That is impossible since there are no files on the phone after hard reset. And I can't find those files anywere on the phone.
I did a hard reset on my phone today as my phone would freeze at times but it seems that it has given me new problemsFirstly, Everytime I restart the phone, the system error message comes up on the homescreen, I would click ok but it comes up 3 or 4 more timesSecondly, I cannot access my contacts at all, whether I try accessing it from the menu or from a shortcut I have on the homescreen. The software is Symbian Anna, I understand that there is a Belle update but it is not yet available for the phone that is on the network that I am on (which is network Three)I have had this phone since september 2011 and it is under warranty. This is the first time I have encountered a problem.Other than that, everything else works fine; I can install apps and make calls and use the internet etc. I just want to get rid of the system error message, and have access to contacts without having to send the phone off for repair!
I resetted my E7 yesterday, and noticed that Quickoffice and Adobe readers disappeared! I tried reinstalling Belle from the nokia suite, all went well, but QO & Adobe are still missing. I tried deleting the downloaded installation files from c:usersall users directory, re-downloading the nokia belle update (~350mb) and re-reinstalling the OS, but still QO and Adobe are missing. I tried *#7370#, "delete and restore" etc, but to no avail. I tried changing OSes - WinXP, Win7, Win7 64bit etc, but still no avail.
So I attempted to do a full wipe/hard reset on my Nokia 1020.. I thought it was working until it restarted and now goes to a WINDOWS BOOT MANAGER screen. Am I completely screwed now? I don't understand how I can't even force-reset the phone. This is really upsetting and I don't know what to do.
How to get the video editor back? I had to do a hard reset a few weeks ago after FP1 came out as the phone wouldn't start. Nokia Suite (initially) wouldn't reflash, saying a SIM card was needed (which was in) but beta labs kindly took note of the error report and released a new Nokia Suite that did allow a reflash. This didn't reinstall the video editor however. I took my phone to a Nokia care point prior to this but they couldn't install it either.
Sometime I am a little bit confused about NOKIA Symbian menu system. And I am in such a case now. I configured SIP profile in Administrator Settings/SIP Settings tab. I was able to register to may SIP provider. I see name of my profile on display and bellow description "Registered" .
Every so often my e6 would restart. I was thinking of why it would restart and came to the conclusion that whenever im in an area with no signal, it would restart. It doesnt have a problem when im in offline mode.
I've been using Skype since March 2011 and it worked fine but sometimes got stucked and my phone suddenly restarted. Two days ago, Skype stopped working and Nokia is restarting every single time I try to log in in Skype,...what's happening? I need Skype and seems its my Nokia the one acting up.
I am using E7 since last 3 month and after 10 days I start facing the problem that my Phone gets restart automatically, whenever I tries to use. After doing a lot of thing I found that problem is due to INTERNET Connectivity. Whenever my PHONE is ONLINE thru Wi-Fi or MOBILE OFFICE (GPRS / 3G) its getting RESTART and if I dont access Internet thru this PHONE, its working perfectly.
It happens quite often every 3rd sms i sent , that whenever I type a message then lights goes off and Handset restarts itself. I have done Hard Reset with *#7370# and Also Reinstalled the firmware.
I wokeup and restarted my phone cause it was acting a bit too slow. after the restart, i lost all my contacts. i restarted again but nothing happened. i did a ovi sync restore, and even then nothing happened. I know for sure that i had contacts on ovi sync server. it was set to "sync when data changes".
can not make calls when qwerty keyboard is in use and Bluetooth to headset is activated because phone makes every time restart while setting up the voice call. It just first indicates that "disconnecting Bluetooth" and soon after that restarts. And when you make it again and again it does the same.
I have got the latest software on the phone. Internet keeps freezing and I have to restart the phone at least once a day. I only browse a straight forward forum and facebook so it should be able to cope. I could never watch you tube or any web site with a lot of pictures. I have deleted cookies/history etc. Is it my internet connection that makes the phone freeze or is it the phone itself.
My E7 on Symbian Anna, has since the update and in last 10 days started to suddenly restart - sometimes as many as 6 times during a short span of time. This happens on not on all days, and sometimes even when it is on standby.Today I happened to note that F Secure screen was coming after sudden restar and then back to restart again. Now it is stable and I saw that F secure was showing update to anti theft as of 28/9/11.So I am suspecting that may be F Secure causes the restart while updating.
Whenever I restart my phone, it waits for a little jiffy, and then a message appears, "Unable to complete installation from memory card. To install remaining applications go to Application manager". How do we get rid of this? Well, how do we recognize the App that's causing this?
Months ago I remember reading complaints about the home screen clock randomly disappearing on some E72 phones. Some time later, I began seeing the problem on my E73. Has anybody reading this post had this problem? I may have found the cause, and am hoping to get feedback.Until recently, the only third party program always running on my E73 was F-Secure's free Mobile Security app. (The program lets you remotely track, lock, and wipe your phone via SMS if it's lost.) I have found that running Java apps like Opera Mini and the MidpSSH telnet/ssh client will sometimes make the clock vanish, and sometimes additionally the UI of a newly-launched program (Java or otherwise) may lock up. Removing Mobile Security fixes all these issues. So is anybody who sees their clock randomly disappear also running Mobile Security?
I try to install some apps like: MarableMaze and LightSabre, but when I try install them apperar: Component 'Python for S60' missing. Continue anyway? , and if I install it . the app doesn't work. I try to install Python v1.4.5, and I tried with 1.9.7, now I am with 2.0, but still not working. What should i do?
E72 used to support sending via email option immediately after capturing a picture by the camera. Now when I select 'send' option after capturing the picture, I do not see any option to send via email, only see,
Via message Via bluetooth Upload
If I select 'Message' its MMS option. Can some one confirm if this feature was changed after the recent Fw 052.005 ? Is it a bug with the new Email 3.09?My phone has both these updates( Fw05.005 & 3.09).
Yesterday my messaging icon dissapeared from the menu options on my E72. how to have the icon replaced. I am currently only able to access messaging folders on receipt of a new SMS.
've recently bought a nokia E72 after losing my E71 and I'm really disappointed with this mobile phone. I share most of the problems shared by most of the users. Messy software, awful sound, horrible build quality with lights comig from everywhere. But lately I found another problem with my mobile. When I create a new message, in the messaging menu, I don't have the option to create a MMS message. All the options I have are ''message (sms) / audio message / avatar sms / e-mail''. No signs of MMS creation option. I tried to uninstall the ''avatar sms'' software to check if the MMS menu would appear but still nothing. I've check the MMS settings and all the settings are ok, but still nothing in the messagin menu to create a MMS.
