I've been using Skype since March 2011 and it worked fine but sometimes got stucked and my phone suddenly restarted. Two days ago, Skype stopped working and Nokia is restarting every single time I try to log in in Skype,...what's happening? I need Skype and seems its my Nokia the one acting up.

I've tried Skype an hour ago and it worked just fine. But since then, I haven't been able to login again. When I try, I get stuck with the "logging in" screen.
How to download skype. I tried from the skype website using my mobile number but when I attempted to download the link sent via sms it said skype couldn't be used on my device.This is contrary to what I have read on the Nokia site which says the E71 is compatible.

After doing a lot of thing I found that problem is due to INTERNET Connectivity. Whenever my PHONE is ONLINE thru Wi-Fi or MOBILE OFFICE (GPRS / 3G) its getting RESTART and if I dont access Internet thru this PHONE, its working perfectly.

When I try to update to a later version it reports it will upgrade the existing version but the installation halts. "Unable to Install!"
How can I get rid of the existing *ghost* version is there anyway I can do that?

i even tried to send it it to the repair shop, and all they can do is changing the cover ($40)
I wokeup and restarted my phone cause it was acting a bit too slow. after the restart, i lost all my contacts. i restarted again but nothing happened. i did a ovi sync restore, and even then nothing happened. I know for sure that i had contacts on ovi sync server. it was set to "sync when data changes".

This happens on not on all days, and sometimes even when it is on standby.Today I happened to note that F Secure screen was coming after sudden restar and then back to restart again. Now it is stable and I saw that F secure was showing update to anti theft as of 28/9/11.So I am suspecting that may be F Secure causes the restart while updating.

On restart all of my ringtones have "disappeared" - E.g. Trying to change any tone the phone tries to access the library by showing "opening", but it hangs. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have bought a Nokia E71 from a friend and when trying to download something from the Ovi store it asks for my user name and password, but says my user name and password are wrong and won't connect. I am using the same ones I use to connect to Ovi on my computer and it accepts them OK. Could this be because the previous owner's user name and password have been stored somewhere on the phone and as a security measure it won't let me in with my user name and password?
Does anyone know what I can do to be able to log in to Ovi on my phone so that I can download an application? The one I want at the moment is Sports Tracker so that I can check how many miles I do when going for a walk. I could perhaps find it online and download straight from their website, but I do really need to be able to download things through Ovi if required.
My problem is, when the phone goes in an area where there's no service, the 3G icon shows up in the right top corner, but when I go back to the area that has service, the 3G icon won't go away and I can't make any calls nor receive. only solution is to turn off the phone and turn back on. can you help me about that, how I can receive service again without restarting the phone?

I tried to switch between phone and memory card in message saving settings - it did not helped.
I have just compared E-63 and 5233 both the phones have same 2 mega pixel camera and also have same resolution of 1600*1200 and there is a huge difference between in there pictures which are clicked at the same time and location when i m seeing in the PC.
