I have got the latest software on the phone. Internet keeps freezing and I have to restart the phone at least once a day. I only browse a straight forward forum and facebook so it should be able to cope. I could never watch you tube or any web site with a lot of pictures. I have deleted cookies/history etc. Is it my internet connection that makes the phone freeze or is it the phone itself.

After doing a lot of thing I found that problem is due to INTERNET Connectivity. Whenever my PHONE is ONLINE thru Wi-Fi or MOBILE OFFICE (GPRS / 3G) its getting RESTART and if I dont access Internet thru this PHONE, its working perfectly.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOvi Suite proposed to me the firmware upgrade from 031.??? to 051.018 release. After upgrade, my new E52 is freezing completely 1-3 times per day now !!! There is not possible to turn-off the phone. I have to pick out the battery, put the battery in and start the phone again! Firmware re-installing has no effect.

but it keeps restarting randomally,, so it can be a 5minutes period or even working for 3 hours but at the end it keeps restarting for no reason..
i even tried to send it it to the repair shop, and all they can do is changing the cover ($40)
I removed my memory card to upload some pics to my computer cause my usb port does not work anymore and since I didn't get around to doing this quickly, I've been using the phone without the memory card. It has been a week and not one instance of freezing up. I put my card in about 2 hours ago just to see if it was fixed and it just now froze again. This obviously is not a solution but it leads me to believe that probably an app or some misc thing on my card is causing this. There is plenty of memory left on the card by the way. Now if I could only find the right settings to install hotmail, rocketmail (yahoo), ovi and gmail mail boxes. I have the issue where the mail boxes never appear after setup.

The problem occurs mostly after the phone has been on standby overnight.Upon waking the screen and performing a few tasks it freezes.Also when trying to open the camera function it often jams.Furthermore it seems to be at it's worst when slightly cooler than normal (perhaps why it's worst on a morning,having been left out of my pocket overnight.

I know for sure that i had contacts on ovi sync server. it was set to "sync when data changes".

This happens on not on all days, and sometimes even when it is on standby.Today I happened to note that F Secure screen was coming after sudden restar and then back to restart again. Now it is stable and I saw that F secure was showing update to anti theft as of 28/9/11.So I am suspecting that may be F Secure causes the restart while updating.

On restart all of my ringtones have "disappeared" - E.g. Trying to change any tone the phone tries to access the library by showing "opening", but it hangs. View 3 Replies View Relatedi've had my E72 since oct 10 and during that time i've had a few accounts of freezing when ending applications etc but nothing major. Also i was having the access point menu randomly flashing up. I noticed these issues more (the access point menu entirley) after i updated the software. I was also noticing the keypad not lighting up everytime i used it, it would come on half way through a text.
I took the phone to my local express repair center where they simply hard reset the phone although im not sure if they did anything to the keypad/light sensor. Since getting the phone back its freezing worse than before and the keypad seems to be no better. Through looking on here i've found that memory cards can cause freezing and i've recently swapped my old samsung one for the one supplied with the phone. I also didn't realise about the light sensor but the keypad has been unlit in the dark before!Are the supplied memory cards just bad or is it the handset and has anyone else had issues with there keypad light?
when accessing the applications menu the touch screen will freeze for almost 5 Sec, then it will respond again, but if exit to phone home screen then i access the application menu the problem starts again freezing for 5 Sec.

I had used the maps app earlier on in the day so don't know if this has anything to do with it. Its not the sim card because I have it working in another phone. I always know the E5 was a phone!

Unfortunately, Nokia PC Internet Access says it could not find a Nokia device connected to the PC. (**bleep**, you were installed from it, right now.) If I reconnect E52 to the PC, Nokia PC Internet Access has a completely black window. It pops up another window "Updating..." saying "Installer has found some installed components which are older than those in device's memory. There components will be updated." The progress bar remains at 0% and nothing happens. Cannot even cancel the installation.

I have tested if Web is working fine using a Nokia C6 - after factory reset - the APN was created automatically for the KPN SIM - and I could browse the internet using C6. I have noted down the details of the APN on the C6.Now I have taken my E7. Inserted the same KPN SIM card. Removed all destination and added manually the APN for KPN. After this I have restarted (turn off / on) once. Then I tried the Web application. It gives "Web: Unable to perform operation".Why does my internet work on C6 and not on E7?

The problem is that my phone keeps on asking me 'Select Connection' if I want to connect using Wifi, WAP or Internet. First of all, I do not know which app requires the connection. This is definitely a UI improvement! How can I know which app requires the connection!
Let's assume it is my mails accounts which try to connect (I have played with the Control Panel / App Manager). The issue is I cannot find how to tell my mail accounts I want to force the connections to Vodafone Internet 'Contract Internet'.
It seems that I can only select the connection point for my first email account and not for the remaining ones.. Is that correct? That's a bug.
My phone is Nokia E6. I've installed Nokia Suite (v: 3.6.36) on my pc.I connect usb cable to E6 and pc. Run Nokia Suite. And then I connect my pc to internet. I expect E6 will connect too but it's just not working.
