All of a sudden on Saturday my nokia E5 stopped picking up a signal and started freezing, the text msg sign is also flashing on the screen. I had used the maps app earlier on in the day so don't know if this has anything to do with it. Its not the sim card because I have it working in another phone. I always know the E5 was a phone!
View 1 RepliesHi.My E7 keeps freezing and needs re booting.It's been re flashed at the Nokia Care Point and has been back to Nokia themselves.I have installed every update available including Anna.Still the problem persists. The problem occurs mostly after the phone has been on standby overnight.Upon waking the screen and performing a few tasks it freezes.Also when trying to open the camera function it often jams.Furthermore it seems to be at it's worst when slightly cooler than normal (perhaps why it's worst on a morning,having been left out of my pocket overnight.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI live in a poor reception area on the Rogers network. I've noticed that when I go into the basement the phone drops a signal pretty quickly. I am okay with this and is expected. My issue is when I get back on to the main floor, the phone does not pick up a signal again for a long time. Sometimes even toggling airplane mode doesn't work. My wife's iPhone does the same thing.
Anybody else having this problem?
Recently, I began to have this problem where the phone is showing full signal but the phone is actually not receiving any signal. So calls will not come in at all.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have tried this on 3 different Nokia E6 phones, on GPRS with 5bars, 3G with 5bars and at home over wifi. All internet traffic is really slow, when on the browser downloading the SIS file for google maps, it took 5mins to download just 160k. Once I did get it installed, the Google Maps app take ages to load map tiles, and emails take about a minute to download an email with just a few lines of text.
When using OVI store, pages load really slow. So all internet apps are slow. The phone overall is quick. All this in an edge or 3G area with 5bars, and 3 phones do the exact same. All firmware ver 22.14. Same settings, area and sim card in my Nokia E71 and E72 are perfect.
I have been using my Nokia E6 for some weeks and I use to receive and send mails without any problems. I had installed 3 mail accounts, with the Ovi configuration. But since yesterday, the mail services don't work anymore. I can't receive nor send any emails anymore... Besides, I haven't changed any account setting since yesterday..

View 3 Replies View RelatedOvi Suite proposed to me the firmware upgrade from 031.??? to 051.018 release. After upgrade, my new E52 is freezing completely 1-3 times per day now !!! There is not possible to turn-off the phone. I have to pick out the battery, put the battery in and start the phone again! Firmware re-installing has no effect.

In the building where I work it will not pick up a signal anywhere - not at my desk, in the kitchen, the stairwell .. nowhere.My previous phone, Nokia E63, never had less than 4 bars and oft 5 and picked up a signal anywhere in the building even , and appologies for TMI, when sat on the loo.So is this the norm with the Razr ? Is it not great at picking up signals and should I see if I can swao to a different phone - a colleagues Smasung Galaxy S 2 has no problems getting a signal, or might there be something wrong with the one I have in particular ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI removed my memory card to upload some pics to my computer cause my usb port does not work anymore and since I didn't get around to doing this quickly, I've been using the phone without the memory card. It has been a week and not one instance of freezing up. I put my card in about 2 hours ago just to see if it was fixed and it just now froze again. This obviously is not a solution but it leads me to believe that probably an app or some misc thing on my card is causing this. There is plenty of memory left on the card by the way. Now if I could only find the right settings to install hotmail, rocketmail (yahoo), ovi and gmail mail boxes. I have the issue where the mail boxes never appear after setup.

But sometimes it just freezes as i'm using it. I've tried to reset the phone completely, even doing a hard reset, nothing works.It really looks like the update has messed my phone up...

I had upgraded to the 8900 september of 09, and I was just being noisy and pulled out the 8310 well I turned it on and it had the little 'x' in the top right corner, saying there was no service (yes my SIM was inside and placed correctly). So I took it out and put it back into my 8900 and all worked fine. But then the 8310 didn't even say 'SOS' in to top corner and there was no connections at all. I then replaced the antenna thinking that was the problem but apparently its not bc it still won't pick up a signal. Now it restarts every time I touch it.

I only browse a straight forward forum and facebook so it should be able to cope. I could never watch you tube or any web site with a lot of pictures. It's a 2WIRE AT&T router for a DSL line. Do I need to set up something under DHCP or BootP or Static settings?
I no longer have the 3G network and I can get WiFi at all other WiFi spots except when a 2WIRE DSL box (router) is being used.
I have an E72 and I face a huge problem with the charge in the battery. I have replaced the battery with a standard BP 4L yesterday and I keep facing the same issue. Even after a full charge, I get a 'Battery Low' signal. Can anyone help me to figure out whether the problem is with the battery or the phone?

View 6 Replies View Relatedi've had my E72 since oct 10 and during that time i've had a few accounts of freezing when ending applications etc but nothing major. Also i was having the access point menu randomly flashing up. I noticed these issues more (the access point menu entirley) after i updated the software. I was also noticing the keypad not lighting up everytime i used it, it would come on half way through a text.
I took the phone to my local express repair center where they simply hard reset the phone although im not sure if they did anything to the keypad/light sensor. Since getting the phone back its freezing worse than before and the keypad seems to be no better. Through looking on here i've found that memory cards can cause freezing and i've recently swapped my old samsung one for the one supplied with the phone. I also didn't realise about the light sensor but the keypad has been unlit in the dark before!Are the supplied memory cards just bad or is it the handset and has anyone else had issues with there keypad light?
when accessing the applications menu the touch screen will freeze for almost 5 Sec, then it will respond again, but if exit to phone home screen then i access the application menu the problem starts again freezing for 5 Sec.
