I live in a poor reception area on the Rogers network. I've noticed that when I go into the basement the phone drops a signal pretty quickly. I am okay with this and is expected. My issue is when I get back on to the main floor, the phone does not pick up a signal again for a long time. Sometimes even toggling airplane mode doesn't work. My wife's iPhone does the same thing.
Anybody else having this problem?
What do these Icons represent or mean, and the meaning when they change Colors from White to Blue (Status Icons). There was a GB 2.3.4 User Manual Posted on Moto's site, Unfortunately no information was included about these Items. What does it mean when all three are blue, Including the H+ icon having arrows beneath it at the same time? Is it also Possible to have the Intro Video Posted or embedded to this thread as well please.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have a new home router. my I phone is picking up the wifi signal. But my password for my router does not work. I've tried keying the home phone number and they the airport sign comes up but I have NO connection.
It's a 2WIRE AT&T router for a DSL line. Do I need to set up something under DHCP or BootP or Static settings?
I no longer have the 3G network and I can get WiFi at all other WiFi spots except when a 2WIRE DSL box (router) is being used.
once my phone is in to sos mode its not picking up signal even after being back in range...i had set my network mode to 2g.....is that the reason?

In the building where I work it will not pick up a signal anywhere - not at my desk, in the kitchen, the stairwell .. nowhere.My previous phone, Nokia E63, never had less than 4 bars and oft 5 and picked up a signal anywhere in the building even , and appologies for TMI, when sat on the loo.So is this the norm with the Razr ? Is it not great at picking up signals and should I see if I can swao to a different phone - a colleagues Smasung Galaxy S 2 has no problems getting a signal, or might there be something wrong with the one I have in particular ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy old bb curve 8310 was sitting in my drawer since last september. I had upgraded to the 8900 september of 09, and I was just being noisy and pulled out the 8310 well I turned it on and it had the little 'x' in the top right corner, saying there was no service (yes my SIM was inside and placed correctly). So I took it out and put it back into my 8900 and all worked fine. But then the 8310 didn't even say 'SOS' in to top corner and there was no connections at all. I then replaced the antenna thinking that was the problem but apparently its not bc it still won't pick up a signal. Now it restarts every time I touch it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden on Saturday my nokia E5 stopped picking up a signal and started freezing, the text msg sign is also flashing on the screen. I had used the maps app earlier on in the day so don't know if this has anything to do with it. Its not the sim card because I have it working in another phone. I always know the E5 was a phone!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a factory unlocked IPhone 4s (Model MD234LL and Serial DNPGYCCWDT9Y) from US and after the software upgrade 5.1.1 (9B206) I find that the device looses signal strength and does not connect to Internet 3G or on other occasions Internet connections drops. Sometimes I have "No service" that also comes up. Even making phone calls is difficult and during calls the conversation is dropped and i have to call back sometimes. I also use a BlackBerry and have a connection from same service provider but my BlackBerry shows better Internet browsing capabilities than the iPhone. When the iPhone shows no service my BlackBerry has signal strength.

Anyone else experience this? I did th sotware upgrade and a few hours later this happened. I tried manually connecting to the network and it wont. T-mobile asked me to send the phone back but there is a major scratch on the screen so they told me my return warranty was void now.So far I have a $400 paper weight. Anyone fix this issue?

I have found that there seems to be no correlation between the signal strength (in dBm / asu) in Settings -> About phone -> Status and the signal bars that are shown. Often the signal bars will shoot from 1 to 5 or 6 even with really low signal ( ~97 to > 100 dBm) that doesn't fluctuate.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIi have a sony ericsson vivaz UI5 and would like to no if S E would speed up the signal from 3G to 2G when the signal drops and switches over as I always seem to loose the phone signal because 3G signal stays on 1 bar then 0 for to long before it switches over to 2G. my nokia 5800 switched over much faster with no signal lost when switching over please could this be resolved in the next firmware update as sony ericsson vivaz has the same symbian S60 5th edition OS with more powerful hardware.

It shows the LTE signal but when im surfing the next or even on ebay seems to just have the searching circle. then maybe a min or so later it will go. Ill surf again and data will just stop. It seems the data isn't communicating with the phone intermittently
#2 My text sending is way way slow now. Before update it would send pretty much within second of me hitting send. Now it displays the sending for a good 30 seconds! Sometimes even longer.

I bought an Xperia Ray last Saturday because my HTC Salsa was struggling to connect and stay connected to my home wifi and also had internal memory problems (not enough internal memory)..Now I'm having different wifi problems with the Ray.It connects but the connection is very slow although nothing else is accessing the wifi and when my husband connects with his Samsung Galaxy it is fine and very fast. Every time the screen light goes out (set to every 10 mins at the moment) it seems to drop the wifi connection and when I "wake " it again it has just the mobile connection but starts to connect again straight away, unfortunately this is not fast.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have tried this on 3 different Nokia E6 phones, on GPRS with 5bars, 3G with 5bars and at home over wifi. All internet traffic is really slow, when on the browser downloading the SIS file for google maps, it took 5mins to download just 160k. Once I did get it installed, the Google Maps app take ages to load map tiles, and emails take about a minute to download an email with just a few lines of text.
When using OVI store, pages load really slow. So all internet apps are slow. The phone overall is quick. All this in an edge or 3G area with 5bars, and 3 phones do the exact same. All firmware ver 22.14. Same settings, area and sim card in my Nokia E71 and E72 are perfect.
I lost network coverage signal 3 days back, the sim well working in other mobile. I did soft/hard reset etc but no success. Upaded latest software even. Went to Nokia Care centre, they were also not able to repair it.

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy phone is always changing the signal quality on it. The top of the information area will turn from green to grey to nothing over and over again. If i place or receive a call within a few minutes it drops with no record of the call. The internet is the same i will have 4g service and then it will crawl. I have to keep the phone still to maintain the signal. if i even move my hand the signal is gone.I know it is not sprint cause my wife has a diffent phone and it works perfectly she is chatting away on it all day never had a signal issue. went the spint salesman and he didnt understand why it was doing that. It dropped a call right in the store.I am on the sprint network, I have updated my profile and all the updates are complete. All the salesman suggested is that I do a factory reset and lose everything on the phone. I dont want to lose some games i paid for. If i have to do the reset is there a way to backup my games and how would i reteive them?
