HTC One M7 :: Why Getting Random Notification Sound
Mar 4, 2015Why I get a random notification sound but when I check there is no notification? It happens 4 or 5 times a day with no pattern to when it happens.

HTC One M7 :: Random System Sound Notification
Jul 6, 2013I cannot figure out what the little sound this phone is making all the time, haven't worked out the pattern yet. But it is really annoying as I can't seem to turn it off. I have tried numerous sound profile app, nothing works.
Also everything is untick in sound profile under 'system' but It still makes a noise when I unlock the phone.
It is a system sound because it is not the notification sound I have set in the sound profile. Even when I set it to silent, it still makes the noise.
I'm seriously thinking of switching back to the One X.

The vibration mode works fine for me (both call and message notifications vibrate only), but sound notification for text messages when I am in the middle of something. I am a new Android user and it seems that both settings cannot be done separately for the vibration mode.

Jul 30, 2013For the past week or so, and with a frequency of 2 to 3 times a day, I am receiving an audible notification tone (same as I get when I recive a text message), but when I pull down the notification shade, there is no notification of any sort there.
I have checked my email and Google Now, and notifications are off. I have uninstalled all recently installed apps. I have done a soft reset.

Tried to identify by a notification logger but does not show anything, the phone just pings with no led flash... I heard its a yahoo app but I do not have yahoo account or on my phone.
Phone is UK model, unlocked on EE carrier from carphone warehouse. Android Central App (S6 White 64gb)

Sep 26, 2011I'm experiencing an issue with seemingly random changes to my nofications and ringtone settings. The email or event nofication is set to one of the stock audio files but gets altered to an audio book chapter or music file on my SD card. It's really weird to wake up to a voice reading chapter 14 of a book to me at 2:47 in the morning or to hear one of my music files suddenly start playing out of the blue. And my ringtone seems to bounce around from the one I've selected to one of the music files.

Jul 26, 2010Sometimes randomly after unlocking my phone or turning it on, (specifically a couple seconds maybe 4, of looking at the Home screen) I hear a noise. I'm not sure if it vibrates or not I'll check next time. But it seems to be some sort of notification that happened. Now I have no apps running but I get this beep sound. I checked text messages, emails, push notifications, battery, coverage yet its not one of those. Maybe its WiFi. But for some reason I get this random beep of the phone trying to notify me of something but it never shows up on the screen. Sometimes after locking my phone (screen being black) it does the noise.

Nov 23, 2012I bought my lumia 920 two days ago.I like it.. it is very impressive.I have some problems and I would like to understand if they are related to software or hardware.bviously there is the problem of the random reboot. I am pretty sure it is software related, hope Nokia will fix this soon.The other issue is a sound crackling when a sound start, it happen after a notification, playing games and playing music... apparently it doesn't affect Nokia music app.The problem is not the speaker because it happen also with streaming audio via a2dp.

Aug 20, 2015I have a new LG G4 and I can't seem to turn off or turn down notification sound. You cannot turn down the volume of notifications without turning down the volume of your call ringtone. It's such a basic thing to do, but I can't figure it out. I decided I'd load a ringtone of Silent or None but Verizon's LGG4 does not have that option, again very poor design. While trying to load another ringtone, I went to settings, apps, sound, and hit the small + sign to load a new ringtone and was greeted with another one of those "Do you want to use this action, or that app, or whatever" and then the option "always" or "Just once" and without thinking I chose "Always" now I can't get to the media browser? I tried to clear defaults but can't find the sound app that controls this? Where is this setting?
