Apr 2, 2014How do I customize the call notification to vibrate and the text message notification to sound at the same time for vibration mode? The vibration mode works fine for me (both call and message notifications vibrate only), but sound notification for text messages when I am in the middle of something. I am a new Android user and it seems that both settings cannot be done separately for the vibration mode.

Jul 26, 2010Sometimes randomly after unlocking my phone or turning it on, (specifically a couple seconds maybe 4, of looking at the Home screen) I hear a noise. I'm not sure if it vibrates or not I'll check next time. But it seems to be some sort of notification that happened. Now I have no apps running but I get this beep sound. I checked text messages, emails, push notifications, battery, coverage yet its not one of those. Maybe its WiFi. But for some reason I get this random beep of the phone trying to notify me of something but it never shows up on the screen. Sometimes after locking my phone (screen being black) it does the noise.

Jan 6, 2012I am a Blackberry Torch 9800 user. I have a notification indicator on my phone that I cannot identify. It is a white circle with a black background. It has a white, diagonal arrow with the end protruding out of the circle and the arrow end inside the circle. It has a number 1 next to it. It does not have red asterisk. I am unable to find a way to make the indicator go away.

Feb 2, 2012I have two unknown notification icons on my homescreen on BB Torch 9800. It's driving me insane not knowing what they're.Tried to get the picture in here, but don't have a clue how. The first icon resembles a tape casette player icon and displayed in white. The second one shows a smaller version of the tape casette player icon in black with three little dots on top of it.

Jun 2, 2010Alright, I've had this 9700 since the first week it's came out and I have never seen this icon before. It is a solid blue chat bubble (not the bbm chat bubble blue but a lighter one) I have no idea what this is, i have gone to my messages, my sms and deleted everything, this thing just popped up today. I have tried a battery pull among other things and have no idea what this is. Once again, it is a solid blue chat bubble (no white dots or red or anything near it) and the number is to the right of the blue icon.

May 10, 2010I have a BB Curve 8310 and at strange times I get a "blip blip blip" sound. Every time I hear it I search my running apps to see what it seems to be notifying me of and can't find the source of the sound. Jun 10, 2010recently my alarm has been acting up. i just did a restore the other day to see if it would fix the problem and it happened again this morning. the alarm tune is set on the antelope. no matter what profile i am using ( vibrate, silent or loud) sometimes it plays this very soft 3 short tone tune. i went into the tune file to see what the name of it is...but there is no tune that sounds like this, trying to recreate this problem will just sound off the antelope tune, my phone is always plugged in when this happens. *also im running TELUS .320, before i was using Verizon .607 and i thought that was the reason*

Jul 6, 2013I cannot figure out what the little sound this phone is making all the time, haven't worked out the pattern yet. But it is really annoying as I can't seem to turn it off. I have tried numerous sound profile app, nothing works.
Also everything is untick in sound profile under 'system' but It still makes a noise when I unlock the phone.
It is a system sound because it is not the notification sound I have set in the sound profile. Even when I set it to silent, it still makes the noise.
I'm seriously thinking of switching back to the One X.

Aug 20, 2015I have a new LG G4 and I can't seem to turn off or turn down notification sound. You cannot turn down the volume of notifications without turning down the volume of your call ringtone. It's such a basic thing to do, but I can't figure it out. I decided I'd load a ringtone of Silent or None but Verizon's LGG4 does not have that option, again very poor design. While trying to load another ringtone, I went to settings, apps, sound, and hit the small + sign to load a new ringtone and was greeted with another one of those "Do you want to use this action, or that app, or whatever" and then the option "always" or "Just once" and without thinking I chose "Always" now I can't get to the media browser? I tried to clear defaults but can't find the sound app that controls this? Where is this setting?

Jun 8, 2015I just got an LG G3, and I have a Yahoo email account set up on it. I need it to display the number of unread emails on the icon (I think the little circled number is called a badge?), but do NOT want my phone making a notification sound every time an email comes in. This is really annoying in the middle of the night, especially when it's from spam emails.
When I go into the email app, and choose <menu> --> Settings --> <email account name> --> Notifications --> Notification Sound, a list of folders at /storage/emulated/0 appears instead of a list of tone sounds and a None option. I don't know what to do at this point to disable the notification sound.
