I have looked through the forum and been searching online but can not find out what this new symbol is on y notifications on my BB 9800.When I click on it, it only brings up my calendar/emails etc nothing new. It is a light blue symbol, with a loop at the back! I have a picture but cannot work out how to put on here.
View 2 RepliesI am a Blackberry Torch 9800 user. I have a notification indicator on my phone that I cannot identify. It is a white circle with a black background. It has a white, diagonal arrow with the end protruding out of the circle and the arrow end inside the circle. It has a number 1 next to it. It does not have red asterisk. I am unable to find a way to make the indicator go away.

It's driving me insane not knowing what they're.Tried to get the picture in here, but don't have a clue how. The first icon resembles a tape casette player icon and displayed in white. The second one shows a smaller version of the tape casette player icon in black with three little dots on top of it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a bb torch 9800 it was working really awesome but all of a sudden when I woke up in morning it was switched off. I tried charging but even then its not showing any charging symbol nor its its turning on, And I tried a new battery then it got on but after 2min its getting restart repeatedly even then its not charging if I plug it to charger, but I tried my old battery in another torch its charging properly. I took it to bb authorised service center they told me its mother board fault, but I can't believe it bcoz its just 6months old.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am not exactly sure what happened, but I had about 69 songs on my Torch, and while I was perusing through my albums, I saw an annoying folder called "Unknown". I navigated into that area, and it showed zero songs. So I am like, ok, nothing there, let's delete that bad boy. So I pressed the menu key, selected Delete, and it seemed to take awhile to delete 0 songs. Finally when it got done, I only had 19 songs left. WTH? Ugh! What happened?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI shut off my Blackberry Torch today morning before a flight and after that I could restart it - it allways ends with the symbol "no batterie". It starts a little bit the normal start up procedure (1 or 2 mm from the white nooting line I can see) and than it stopps and shows me the battery symbol. How can I fix this urgently - I'm on a business trip and I need the BB!

View 5 Replies View RelatedAll reminders set on my Blackberry Torch 9800 would not provide a reminder (a pop up screen) nor would it vibrate (in normal and vibrate mode) or make a sound (in normal mode) when the time of reminder was set. For example: Time now it is 4:50pm and I set a reminder for 5pm with a reminder set for 5 min. On my previous BB9700 a reminder would be generated at 4:55 pm (a sound and/or vibrate depending on the mode and profile setting). On my current BB 9800, nothing would happen.

When trying to sync Outlook with 9800 appears a warning pop up saying "unknown application", but the sync, goes ahead, but with errors in times that appear with one hour off in the device. What does this warning says or is trying to say?
View 9 Replies View RelatedAs of recently, my tour had turned off one day. The screen said technical support required, bring to your provider, or something to that effect. Anyway, the phone was fixed, everything wiped however. Ever since then, a new strange Grey symbol is at the top of my screen, and I have no idea what is means. It is on my home screen, directly between the time and battery life symbols, so basically it is to the left. It looks like a symbol of a mini blackberry with a tiny little pinkish square sticking out of the side of the left side of the phone symbol.

I have looked for the symbol in the manuals and its unheard of so far. haha. Its a yellow fone with a symbol 1 and a arrow pointing at the 1, in a almost lightning pattern, It is on my main screne as well as whenim dialing a number it is in the line 1 bar above the dialpad.

Have unsuccessfully experimented with handset TLS settings & cleared cache, cookies etc.
Another handset with same settings is OK (routing through same BES).
Does anyone know how to clear or erase my calendar events from the notification bar? I did some research it is says under Options-Display there should be a option for External Notification. BUT my phone does not have that option.

The text: The mailbox (my corporate e-mail account) is almost full. You should remove some emails from the box as soon as possible to prevent losing any future mail, or ask the admin to upgrade your account to have a larger quota. This mailbox is currently 91.94% (45.97/50.00 Megs) full. Also should I periodically clean /restore my mailbox in the blackberry or it is being automatically deleted after some date?

The voice mail symbol was next to it when I first used my phone today (so it's clearly not the voice mail), but went away when I set up my new voice mail for the first time (I am using it with a foreign carrier while out of the country for a few months). there are no voice mail messages.
The symbol is not listed in the user guides/keys from BB. I couldn't find any solutions on this forum yet either. I went through every program & menu item & there are no unread messages of any kind.

As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had my X2 for a couple of weeks now and today noticed a flashing gray outlined triangle oriented like a pyramid on the notification bar. It is located between the signal strength bars and the WiFi strength symbol. I cannot find anywhere what this symbol indicates in any of the documentation; the manual or on-line. The phone seems to be operating normaly.
