Jun 22, 2011I keep trying to sync my callender through the blackberry desktop to outlook callender, its gives me the same message all the time. Unknown error reported.Spent hrs in phone shop today with v helpfull chap, my curve will sync with his laptop, his OS is windows 7 mine is Vista.

Dec 22, 2010I have a Blackbery storm 9530 with software version 5.0.0.328 installed. I am using Windows Vista and trying to sync with Outlook 2007. Prior to a recent upgrade of the DM, I was able to sync my Calendar and Contacts. Now I get Blackberry Desktop Synchronization error "Determining the root configuration of main system" and then a Intellisync error follows displaying "Unknown error reported". I am unable to complete the sync.

Jan 20, 2010When syncing device (BB storm 1 9500) the device and the computer talk and compare each others records. When I click accept changes I get an error message from Intellisync "Connector specific error" and synchronization stops. I have checked my wife's device (BB storm 1 9500) and this problem does not occur. I use the same USB port, cable, and folder with all the same options. I therefore assume it is a fault with my device.

Aug 12, 2010I'm a new Blackberry user just picking up a Torch today. I proceeded to sunc up my Contacts using Blackberry Desktop Manager and was presented with an error and a KB article to consult. KB19454-"The <organizer application> database cannot be accessed for synchronization" appears when attempting a synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager 1.0 on a Mac computer
Has anyone experienced this issue and no the solution? Although the KB article references many sync item issues, mine is with contacts. I admit I was a little disappointed to find that out-of-the-box I was unable to sync with Contacts on OS X.

Sep 13, 2010I know there are separate posts on this subject on connection consistency problems but I can't seem to get an answer to a fundamental question. Is the problem hardware or software related? Since turning off WiFi improves the connection consistency significantly what does that imply? I want to return my Torch of this is a hardware issue.

Feb 11, 2012I've been able to sync my Torch upto this point without any problem.However, just a couple days ago, I started getting a message saying "Intellisync - Connector Specific Error".it is not syncing with the Outlook data.neither the setting of the Desktop program nor the physics around my computer has changed. It is the same USB cable.I've already installed the program a couple of times and started fresh but it didn't make any difference.

It works perfectly with my Bold 9700 and it used to work with the Torch as well.All of a sudden it started not to charge the Torch (wall charger). You plug it in and there is no response from the phone whatsoever.But, if you plug it to your PC/Laptop it charges through the USB power.Another thing we noticed is that it no longer gives you any options like "usb drive" "sync media" or "charge only". Also, it is a bit wiggly on the phone side (fitting of the microUSB plug). It wasn't as wiggly before the problems, but there doesn't seem to be any obvious physical damage or any reason for a damage (as much as we know).

I navigated into that area, and it showed zero songs. So I am like, ok, nothing there, let's delete that bad boy. So I pressed the menu key, selected Delete, and it seemed to take awhile to delete 0 songs. Finally when it got done, I only had 19 songs left. WTH? Ugh! What happened?

Sep 16, 2010I am having an issue with a weird error code that I have gotten since day 1 of owning my torch. Everytime I do a BP when the phone boots up I am getting an error that says, "122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Activatet=6"
I get this same error code when trying to set up my visual voicemail. When someone leaves a message I get that 122 Error as well as another error sent from 1000000000 that just has a garbled message. My VVM has been reset twice by at&t and I have been told that everything is provisioned correctly. I was hoping that .214 would fix this issue but still it persists.

Sep 10, 2012I have recently added my company email on Blackberry Torch 9800. Whenever I get any mail on my BB and I read it, while Outlook is not open on my laptop, the mail is not delivered on my laptop at all. I have already ticked the "leave a copy of messages on Server" in accounts settings.
Further, I receive mails on my BB in bunches after a gap varying from 20 mins to 1 hour after the sender has sent the mail to me. I receive from 4 - 10 mails at one single time, but not as and when they are posted. After facing these problems, I upgraded the OS to 6.0.0 bundle 2647, however the behavior has not changed.

When connected via USB, I have no troubles whatsoever. When I check the different connections on the laptop, the USB connection says "local and Internet", while the wifi connection says "local" only. I'm sure this is an issue with the laptop, but I'm severely challenged when it comes to computers.
