Motorola Droid 4 :: No Sim Card Reported In Error - No Voice

Oct 1, 2012

I go to use the phone for a call and I see two reported red bar errors at the top line: No Sim Card and no Bars. I reboot to clear it; however, this is a repeating situation. I get no warning of when it "drops". The last time was on the charger, overnight.I will be taking to the Verizon store but wonder if anyone knows of this and how to fix. I am at the latest version of software.

Motorola Motoactv :: Biking - Reported Distance Is Wrong?

Jul 8, 2012

I've had issues with the distance being way off while hiking/jogging on trails. While annoying, I decided I could live with it as I really liked the MotoActv as a bike computer.Today, it let me down on the bike. It under reported the distance by almost 3 miles. Looking through the CVS file, I am not sure why this occured. It doesn't look like the GPS dropped out during the ride. The battery in my speed/candance sensor died 21 minutes into my 70 minute ride but I wouldn't expect this to matter for the distance. I also used my Garmin 910XT and it correctly reported the distance. It's frustrating as it has been very accurate on the bike. It had been the one reason I have kept it and not returned it.

Motorola Droid X :: No Voice In/out On Calls?

May 12, 2011

Randomly my phone decides it doesn't like being a phone. The call connects, but I can't hear anything and neither can the person on the other line. I'll hang up, call my voicemail, can't hear the automated messages and keypad tones don't register on the voicemail's end. Sometimes a battery pull fixes, usually not. Sometimes it works again after an hour. Two days ago it decided not to work, didn't work yesterday or today until just now either, longest I've seen it not work. When that happens I resort to calling from Google Voice on my laptop.

Motorola Droid X :: Disable Voice Mail On It?

Jul 24, 2011

Today, my phone and my husband's (same phone: Droid X) activated voicemail on it's own, or else Verizon did it for us. Problem is, neither of us WANT voicemail on our phones! How can we deactivate, while still keeping the option of voicemail later? I thought about just forcing a stop on the voicemail, but am worried that it will mean we won't have the option of voicemail in the future, should we require it.

Motorola Droid Turbo :: Does HD Voice Cause Dropped Calls

Oct 10, 2015

My Turbo worked great up until 5.1. At my house, my signal is ~ -110 dBm which is about the same on my AT&T network H815 LG G4. Ill drop about one call every 24-48 hours. I went through hours of troubleshooting with customer service and tech support. I even was shipped a replacement device.

So, eventually a trouble ticket was issued to their engineering department and there answer was High Def voice, when activated in a "weak spot" (-110 dBm is enough to make a call) that it would disconnect the phone. My AT&T G4 never dropped a call at my home.

Motorola Droid Turbo :: Bluetooth Voice Dialing?

Nov 24, 2014

I got my Droid Turbo about 10 days ago. Previously I had a Droid Razr Maxx for about 2.5 years. I had a Bluetooth hands free device mounted on my visor where when I hit a button it would speak "Please say a command" and I could respond with "Call Bob Smith Home" and it would work. I then got a Pioneer radio and it behaved exactly the same and worked very well.

Now, I get my Droid Turbo and expect similar results but it doesn't work? I can "sometimes" hear the first part of the phone/car stereo asking me to say a command but it is broken up and sometimes I hear nothing at all. If I look at the phone I can see that it is waiting for a command. If I say "Call Bob Smith Home" it comes up with Bob Smith but nothing happens? Also, if I say "Ok Google" and then say "Call Bob Smith Home" a DIFFERENT type screen comes up and WILL make the phone call.

In playing with my phone it seems like the phone comes with multiple voice command type "programs". I think there is the Google Voice, Moto something, and is there maybe even something else? Anyway, I'd just like my bluetooth voice dialing to work. Do any of you have a recommendation on how to get this work or use one of the phone's other voice recognition ones that will work?

Motorola Droid Turbo :: Using Moto Voice For To-do List?

Dec 1, 2014

How I can best use Moto Voice to create and add to a to-do type list? I see it can set a reminder but the reminder requires you to enter a due time/date or location and I don't really need to do that. I just want to be able to have Moto Voice add something to a simple list. I have tried the "Note to self:" command but that seems to just send an email to your gmail account and since I don't use gmail, that really isn't useful for me either. Any simple list that can be voice controlled (at least to add to the list)?

Motorola Droid X2 :: Can Disable Notifications For VZW Voice-mail

Mar 17, 2012

I've used exclusively Google Voice for voicemails, and not the VZW service, for over 6 months. I figure all VZW voicemails are cleared out by now. But still, the little "tape" icon is displayed in the notification banner. When I enter the voicemail app, I see that I do have one voicemail. Also, the green LED blinks incessantly sometimes (but sometimes not??). I think the voicemail notification and LED blinking are related. Is there any way to disable notifications for the VZW voicemail, both the notification icon and/or the LED blinking? The Menu button has no effect in the voicemail app, and I don't see any applicable setting in the phone's Settings menu.Or, is there some way to clear/empty/disable my VZW voice mailbox without deactivating Google voicemail for my phone?

I am tired of every time we get an update that something breaks or is removed and yet more and more bloat is forced upon us.
